Momzempic: Wire the Mom Brain to Lose Weight Subconsciously - Part 4
24 Jan 2025 · 21 min
In this fourth solo coaching episode of the Mom Zempic series, Hannah Keeley ("America's number one mom coach") explains how mothers can mimic the physiological effects of GLP‑1 medications (e.g., Ozempic) by rewiring the "mom brain" through a series of belief‑based practices. She reviews prior sessions (mom brain basics, fullness, gratitude) and introduces the third core belief: treating discipline as a disciple‑learning process. Keeley defines discipline as a student‑mindset, linking it to biblical concepts of discipleship. The core technique she teaches is a three‑minute pause when a craving or stressful trigger arises, during which the mother simply feels the sensation and repeats the mantra “I’m okay.” This pause is framed as a way to stabilize blood‑sugar‑like responses, build patience, and ultimately reduce cravings, mirroring how GLP‑1 drugs work. She connects this practice to broader life areas (fitness, home management, finances) via Mom Master University’s “master tracks,” emphasizing that changing the mom brain in one domain ripples to all. The episode repeatedly ties the method to biblical principles (Romans 5:3‑5) and ends with a promotional call to enroll in Mom Master University for deeper work.

You know those GLP ones like Ozempic that just make weight loss almost magical? Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could do that but without the medicine? What if that's possible? Well, I think it is. In this series called Mom Zempic, I'm showing you the core beliefs that can actually put weight loss on autopilot. It's basically wiring the mom brain for weight loss. So stick with me because we're going to make weight loss something that happens so easy and so natural, you don't even have to think about it because you already did. Welcome to Mom Mastery University. The education every mom should have had, but mom didn't. I'm Hannah Keeley, America's number one mom coach. And class is now in session. Foreign. Welcome back to mom zyc. This is our fourth coaching session and we already talked about how the mom brain works and how GLP ones work. That was in the first session and the second one, we learned about basically what fullness could be and. And the thought that we ingrain in our head so that we can stay in that place of being satiated. And in our third coaching session, we talked about how to slow down the eating experience and make it more of an expression of gratitude. Now, you may be wondering, how does all this work to create weight loss? Well, what we're doing is we're simulating the same results that the GLP1s do in our bodies. It slows down the process of digestion. It helps you stay fuller longer. It helps you resist cravings, and as a result of that, you eat less and you lose weight. So we're doing the same thing by wiring it into our mom brain so it shows up in our body and it's practically miraculous. But that's how it works here inside Mom Master University because we always do things according to the mom brain. This is the only platform in the world that is designed to work with the mom brain on helping you change, really transform into your very best self in every area of life. So we're working on weight loss throughout this entire series. And of course, like everything we go to, the belief in our brain, that's going to change how we feel, that's going to change what we do, and as a result, change what we have. So as we put these thoughts in our brain, thoughts like in the first one, we learned I'm full. In the second, the second thought we learned I'm grateful. As we, as we put these thoughts in our brain in relation to our eating behavior, it's going to cause A different feeling. And as a result of that, we're not going to be eating as much. And as a result of that, lose weight. So it's wiring the mom brain for weight loss. So here we are in our last coaching session. This is number four in the mom's epic process. And we're going to talk about the third, third belief that we're going to basically inject in our brain so it shows up in our body and what the goal of this is, how we can stop cravings. Now, cravings are funny because it's not hunger that usually causes cravings. It's usually a fluctuations in blood sugar or stress levels which do result in fluctuations of blood sugar too. So ozempic, the GLP1s, they stop cravings because they regulate blood sugar levels. So what we're going to do here is we're going to create a belief that can help you regulate yourself so you're not so susceptible to cravings. And I'm going to show you a process of how to really feel cravings so you respond to them instead of just subconsciously react to them. So you know what cravings are. We all know what cravings are. We have them with hormonal changes, blood sugar levels, stress, stress. We have these cravings that happen and as a result we just, it's like a knee jerk response. We'll just immediately go to the eating behavior to make that craving go away, to satisfy that craving. So when we change our thought around cravings, it's not that we're not going to have cravings, but we're going to change how we respond to cravings. We feel, feel cravings. Because understand this, a craving is a feeling. But discipline means not being directed by feelings, but by conviction. So now you're saying, Hannah, wait, that sounds hard. When you say discipline, that sounds hard. I want you, I want to show you something about discipline. A lot of people think discipline is the rigor, the hardship, the toil of learning how to do the things you don't want to do. It kind of is, but I want to change that because it's easier to do the things you don't want to do if you understand what discipline really is. So discipline comes from the same root as disciple. And basically it means student. So Jesus calls, you know, his disciples. They're, they're called disciples because they're students and they're always learning, always growing, always leaning into the next thing. So, so instead of discipline being that finished result of being, you know, having that stoic response and not veering from your routine. I want you to change the way you think about discipline. As I'm always a student, I'm always learning. A true disciple is disciplined in the learning behavior. So they don't let their failures come cause them to stop. They let their failures, they leverage their failures so they can learn from them and move forward. So if we live a life of discipline, what that means is we are always growing, we're always learning, and we're not allowing failures to hold us back. So can you, can you grab onto that feeling of discipline? Because if we do, if. If we think we have to be disciplined to resist cravings, that feels so hard. It feels so unattractive. It feels like I just. I just don't want to do it anymore. Right. But what if we hold the view of discipline as I'm going to learn how to work with my cravings and make wise decisions to navigate them. It's not that I'm not going to have cravings and it's not that I'm not going to respond to cravings and it's not that I'm not going to eat. It's that I'm going to allow a process of learning how to manage these cravings better. So a craving. I want. I want to read this to you. It's a physical drive resulting from an emotional compulsion. Okay. Emotions are feelings created by nerves. Neurotransmitters and the drive to eat and have sex are the strongest cravings because it's ingrained in us for survival. Now, I want you to think about mom brain. Go back to the very first module that we did in this series. We talked about mom brain and, and why weight loss is so hard for moms because the eating behavior is a survival mechanism to make sure that your family's okay. We're always looking for what we're lacking. We're always looking at what's not enough. So when you're talking about eating, it's basically a response to stress and a response to the mom brain and the survival mechanism. We have to make sure we're. We're. That we have enough. So if we're looking at what we lack, we look at food, as I could potentially lack. And so I'm going to fill up with that right now. Now. So you're working basically against the mom brain when you try to diet, because as soon as stress pops up and as soon as the mom brain starts to look at what you're lacking, and that can be, there's food, it's not in my belly. I'm going to eat it. You're going to blow the diet. That's why diets do not succeed if you haven't worked with the wiring of your mom brain. And that's why so many moms are having great results inside Mom Master University with their health and with their body, even if they didn't choose fitness as their master track. Now you may be thinking, what is a master track? Okay, if you're not inside Mom Master University, when you get inside, you get access to a customized master track for you. And we do several different areas. Finance, fitness, fortress. So if you choose fitness, you're working with your health, with your energy level, your resistance to disease, all of that. Now there are people who have gone, there are moms who have started with Fortress track, which is like managing your home, keeping it clean, clutter free, organized, beautiful, and all of a sudden, they're losing weight. Why does that happen? Because how you do anything is how you do everything. So when you're working around the same core beliefs, it's going to show up in all different areas of your life. So that's why working on. Remember that in the last coaching session in the series we learned, we worked on. I'm grateful. That's not just going to affect your eating behavior. That's also going to affect how you manage your children and how you manage your home and your marriage. So what we're working on right now is being a disciple, being disciplined, and learning how to manage when that emotional response kicks in. Now remember, the drive to eat and the drive to have sex are survival mechanisms. Very strong in the mom brain. You might be thinking, hannah, not so strong with the sex thing. Well, you may want to go back. And if you're inside Mom Master University, get access to sexy back is going to help you understand why that sex drive might not be. Might not be as active as it could be. So go back and watch that. But there is a strong sex drive. There is a strong eating drive as well, because it helps you survive, which will in turn help your children survive. So that's how the mom brain is working. So even if we, even if we're binging, the mom brain thinks binging is keeping us alive. So I want you to think about that. A. A craving. If we are always reacting to the craving, if the craving comes up and we eat, we create have a craving. We eat, we have a craving, we eat. What are we teaching our brain about that? That a craving is now essential to survival? Anything you do on a routine basis, you have a Stimulus, a response, stimulus, response, a craving. So you eat. It could be craving for a cigarette, so you smoke. That's why quitting smoking can be so difficult. That's why. That's why addictions happen. Because your brain literally believes, especially the mom brain, that that addiction, whether it's a cigarette, whether it's porn, whether it's alcohol, it believes that addiction is imperative to keeping you alive because it's been responded to in such a regular pattern. Now, I hope you're picking this up, because what it means for your cravings is the real reason that cravings cause you to blow a diet or something like that is it's not the craving, it's your habitual reaction to the craving. So a craving in your brain is just a stimulus. It's just something in the environment, something in your bodily environment that has perked up. It's a drive that perked up. And it said, hey, I need those chips. Now. You've always, maybe, maybe you've continually responded to cravings by just satisfying them. So now your brain will start putting these cravings on overdrive because it thinks that if you didn't have the craving, if you didn't satisfy the craving, you could potentially be dying. Like, remember, your brain is engineered for your survival, not for your success. So now we have to change, not the craving. Now, the thing about Ozempic, the GLP1s, is it actually stabilizes blood sugar levels. So we're not having those cravings, right? It stabilizes all the things that are that are perking up with that hunger craving. So we're not having those cravings. But what if we could change how we respond to the craving? So I want you to think this, can I feel this craving? That's it. We're just going to change that one thing. Can I feel this craving? Cravings are just a feeling that comes up. But you have trained your body predominantly to react to those cravings by eating. So what if we react to those cravings by allowing ourselves time to just feel it? Here's why. The average lifespan of a craving is only three minutes. Did you know that? Like, let's say you're craving nachos in three minutes. You may not be craving those nachos anymore, but if you don't give yourself a window to just feel it, you will find you are automatically react to the craving, indulge, satisfy it. So you don't even know how to feel a craving anymore. You just know how to react to it. So that's what we're doing in this module is. We're going to really work this week on feeling what a craving feels like. And just hold it, just hold the energy. Can I just feel this? In Romans 5, 3, 5 assesses, we also have joy with our troubles. And because we know that these troubles produce patience and patience produces character, and character produces hope. And this hope will never disappoint us because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts. So it says right there, we have joy with our troubles because we know it produces patience. How do you have joy with your troubles? You give it the right perspective. So think about it. When something comes up, it could be like, you know, a bill you can't pay, or, you know, your husband does something to bug you or your child or some kind of trouble, something happens that causes you to potentially blow a fuse, get angry, start crying, lose your hope, basically start spiraling downward. Let's say something happens. But what if you give yourself three minutes, three minutes to just hold that energy and say, okay, this is not ideal, but here's where you go, I'm okay, I'm okay. Here's this huge bill. I can't pay it. There's no money in the account. But you know what? I'm just going to hold it for three minutes and realize, I'm okay. I'm okay. In this space. The reason the troubles do as sin is we don't give ourselves, give our brain enough time to potentially invite joy into the trouble. The joy can come by just learning that even in this present moment, I'm still okay. And that's something that the mom brain does not do very well because the mom brain usually is always operating out of urgency. So it's going to become counter. Like, at first it'll be counter to the mom brain, but you're going to train because you're a disciple. You're going to train your brain to give a three minute feeling exercise. So when a craving hits or any trouble hits, remember, how you do anything is how you do everything. When any trouble hits, I'm going to give it just three minutes. You can even set an alarm three minutes to feel it. I'm going to feel it and I'm going to tell myself, I'm okay. I'm okay. Now, I know that might be such a simple thought. You're like, hannah, does that really work? It works because it's such a simple thought. Now you can work on I'm patient. You can work on I can wait. But what if you could work on I'm okay. Think about it. You have a craving. You really want those sour cream and onion potato chips, right? Or you really want one of those cookies that you made earlier. They're sitting on the count. And you give yourself three minutes. You feel the craving, but instead of reacting to it, you respond by saying, I'm okay. I can actually wait. I'm okay. I'm okay. Feel it. Hold the thought. And what you're doing is you're adding joy to the trouble. And that produces patience. Patience is putting your waiting on autopilot. So that's what we're going to do this week, is we're going to give ourselves a three minute pause. Every time you feel a craving, a three minute pause to just practice. I'm okay. I'm okay. Could. Could you do this around everything that you want to react to? Harsh word comes from your husband. Give it three minutes. I'm okay. I'm okay. You get a bill, comes in, can't pay it. Give it three minutes. Things just work out for me. I'm okay. I'm okay. It'll come from somewhere. You have a craving, it kicks in hard for that caramel brownie. Three minutes. Yeah, that would be great, but I'm okay. I'm okay. I can just feel this. I'm okay. And therefore, I can wait. I know it sounds simple, but you're gonna find the most miraculous results come out of the simplest shifts. So that's what we're gonna practice this week. I'm okay. Remember, feel the craving. You often don't even know what a craving feels like because you just feel it and react to it. What we're going to do this week is we're going to hold the craving. We're going to feel it. We're going to tune in to what that feels like. We're going to really learn from those cravings, discipline ourselves to feel it, and then go to the thought, I'm okay. And what happens three, four, or five minutes later, you no longer have the craving. And you can go back to that feeling of, I'm full and I'm grateful. You see how all three of these work together? And it's so beautiful the way that these combine to form the perfect wiring for the mom brain to put your weight loss on autopilot. You're wiring your mom brain to lose weight. Why are we doing this? For health, for vitality, for longevity. All the reasons you are here to live a full life of gratitude and feeling that state of I am absolutely okay. So now this is not just going to affect your weight. This is going to affect your entire life, because how you do anything is how you do everything. So make sure that you do the extended work, because we're going to do some more work around I'm okay. And get that engineered into your brain so you can really experience cravings in a whole new way so you're not imprisoned by them. You're actually operating as a disciple and setting yourself free. Because we can't really learn how to be stronger unless we learn how to cope with resistance. You see, that's why we go to the gym, right? That's why we do weight training, is we know with every single rep, with every single push, with every single pull, our muscles are getting stronger. The same thing happens in your brain every single time you hold a craving for three minutes, you're allowing that muscle in your brain to get stronger and stronger around how you manage cravings. So you're no longer a slave to the flesh. You are free. And what Christ has set free is free indeed. So this is what we're going to work on this week, okay? Hold the craving, feel it, let it run through your body, and pretty soon, about five minutes later, it probably won't be there anymore. So that's what we're going to work on. So get inside Mom Master University and do the extended work. If you're not a member Inside Mom Master University. What are you doing? Get inside. Get started with your Master track.
