Rise Up Moms: Laura Allred & Hannah Keeley on Revival, Family & Communion America
2 Oct 2025 · 29 min
In this episode of the Rise Up Moms podcast, host Hannah Keeley interviews Laura Allred, founder of the A Million Women movement, to discuss a current wave of Christian revival focused on mothers and the home. They argue that national spiritual renewal must begin with families, describing the nation’s cultural drift as a demonic infiltration that opens "windows" into homes. Using Jeremiah 7 and 9:21 as biblical backdrops, they call for repentance, sanctification of the household, and a strategic partnership with God through prayer and fasting. Laura shares how A Million Women organized a 10‑hour, 375,000‑person prayer gathering on the National Mall, and how extended fasts have broken spiritual strongholds, especially against sexual perversion and LGBTQ influences. The conversation moves to a forthcoming event, Communion America, a four‑day festival (Oct 9‑12, 2025) on the Washington Mall featuring 24‑hour worship, state‑by‑state tents, and a mile‑and‑a‑half communion table on Oct 11, intended to unite believers in a public act of forgiveness and national healing. They urge mothers to adopt a "secret" of gratitude, joy, and freedom, to close the spiritual windows in their homes, and to engage in intercessory prayer rather than control or social‑media activism. Biblical examples of Esther, Deborah, and Psalm 10:28 are invoked to motivate women to rise as spiritual warriors. The episode ends with a strong call‑to‑action for listeners to register at CommunionAmerica.com, bring their families, and participate in what they frame as a pivotal moment in American history.

So every once in a while, you come across somebody who just lights you up, and you know, oh, my goodness. God's been speaking to this person just like he's been speaking to me. And all of a sudden, it's like time collapses and your besties, and you're ready to take on the world. So if you're ready to take on the world or if you don't feel ready to take on the world, something's going to happen in this session that we're doing this, this time together, where I believe God's going to speak to you. He's going to show you. He's going to hold up a mirror and show you your value, your worth as a mom, and something's going to shift in your life. So ready or not, you're going to meet Laura Allred. She is the leader of a movement for women that if you do not know about this, your life's about to change. So get ready. Laura, I am so grateful that you're here. It is time to, like, set off the fireworks and light this up.
I am so excited to be with you, Hannah. I'm glad we finally got to connect on this platform. I'm excited to share what the Lord is doing, and I think everyone is just going to leave, so encouraged. And we're going to know our next marching orders. What is God calling us to do? I'm so thrilled to be here.
Oh, my goodness. Okay, so we're going to go right into it. What is God calling us to do? So, you know, my audience, moms, they're in the muck of stuff, right? Like, they're like. It's funny because we were talking about how long this podcast is going to be before we even started, and I'm like, girl, moms can't pay attention for longer than three minutes. Like, it's good for 25, right? Because maybe you're stuck in the line to pick up your kids, or maybe you're just listening to this while you're doing stuff around the house, or maybe this is that rare moment that your kids are napping. But I just believe, like, you believe that God is stirring up moms. He's. He's moving in our lives. He's moving in our families. And one thing I. I truly believe is we're seeing revival. We're right in the middle of it, right at the beginning of it. Come on. But this is important. I don't think revival can happen in a country till it happens in the home.
That's right. That's right.
Tell me more about where God, what God is speaking to you and what you're doing and how we could be a part of it.
So I love what you just said, because if we look at our society as a whole, the American dream, the American culture, you know, I would say it would be like in the 60s in the free love movement, right? When all that happened before a lot of us were even born or, you know, we were dreams in God's heart. There was an open window to our nation where the radical feminist agenda came rushing into our nation and it seemed set us on a trajectory where we look back and now, all these decades later, there's really quite a bit of confusion about what family looks like, about what motherhood looks like, about what it looks like to be a woman in general. And so I believe that God is realigning and recalibrating the body of Christ and us as women. You know, the movement that I lead is called A Million Women. And it was birthed a year ago. We gathered on the mall in D.C. it was a 10 hour prayer gathering. And it was really calling the women of America and really around the world to come and to pray and basically cry out for our children. So one of the verses, there are many verses that are kind of like the backdrop to this movement, but the book of Jeremiah is really key because Jeremiah was a weeping prophet in a time in Judah when, when the whole family was just a mess. So in Jeremiah chapter, chapter seven, there's a really interesting verse and it says this. Excuse me, maybe you can edit that out.
Excuse me. You got it.
It's the book. The verse in Jeremiah says this. The children gather the wood, the women make the cakes and the men light the fire, all to worship this demonic God. And so it's basically saying that the whole family is involved, the whole family is askew and they're not worshiping God anymore. They're worshiping the God of the age. And I believe it's a parallel of where we are as the American church, that it's time for us to realign to biblical values, to biblical principles, and to go. Okay, wait a minute. Put on the brakes. Where are we as the body of Christ? Where is the health of our families and mothers? You are key. You are key to the health of your family. And so there's a great realignment happening in the body of Christ right now.
I am seeing that I, I got chills when you were sharing that verse with me because I believe, Laura, that it's happening just like all of the enemy's plans. He just wants to go under the radar, right. And if he cannot be noticed, right. Do whatever he wants. If he can get, if he can just get a, an inch, he'll take your whole home right under your nose. And I'm seeing this happening in. And moms, I'm, I'm hearing moms come to me who are like, I'm hearing them talk about the anxiety, the, the depression, the overwhelm, the isolation about their children with confusion and, and they feel like they're at a loss. I don't know how to get my family back. I don't know. No, we need to return. The Bible says if my people will pray and turn and repent, yes, he'll come and he'll heal. He will heal the home. I believe 100 he will heal the home when we turn. And that repentance does not mean just, oh, I'm aware that I need Jesus. It means like, you know what? I'm going to send Satan out of my home.
Right?
And when we repent and move from that, not to feel condemnation, but to feel freedom, right? Then we invite that healing power in our homes. And it can change. I truly believe it can change.
It really can change. You know, one of the hallmark verses for a million women Last year on October 12th was Jeremiah 9:21. Jeremiah 9 is a very interesting chapter because Jeremiah calls. It says, call for the women to come. Call for the weeping women to come. Let them come quickly and shed tears because of the state of the nation. And Jeremiah 9:21 is a very interesting verse because it says, call the women. Let them teach their daughters how to lament. Basically to cry out and go, wait a minute, our nation is in crisis. And it says the reason, it says, because death has climbed in through our windows, the windows of our home. The spirit of death, anxiety, sexual perversion. It, it. No home is exempt. Even the homeschool homes. Moms, your home is not exempt. It's a demonic spirit of this age that is coming in for our families. And so we need to ask the Lord God, where in my home have the windows been open for the enemy to come in? And Jeremiah 9:21 says this. The enemy is coming through our windows to cut off the children from the streets and remove the young men from the squares. In other words, in modern day language, back then, the enemy's tactic was to come in for the children. Guess what, Mama? The enemy's tactic is the same in 2025. It's to come in for our children, to cause confusion, to cause you know, fear to come in. And so as guardians of our home, we gotta say, okay, Lord, where have the windows been open? Have my kids been exposed to kids YouTube a little bit too long? Have my kids been exposed to things that, you know, I'm tired. We all put our kids in front of screens. I'm guilty. I've done the same. But where has that spirit come in to disciple our children in the way of the world when we should be imparting life? And so we repent. Right? I've done this. I repent. I close the windows. Maybe even at times, I do an extended fast to ask the Lord God, where do you need to realign me? And we just recourse.
Correct.
Right. We go. Okay, we're not doing that anymore, fam. We're moving direction. So, you know, we can do this. We can close the windows of our own home and be guard over them.
What you're talking about is sanctification.
Absolutely.
We are called to sanctify our homes, to make them a place of worship, to make them a place of clarity instead of chaos. And I want to talk. I'm. I know that there are some moms who are listening or watching right now, and they're like, you don't know my situation. I have. My child is so far gone.
Yeah.
And I've heard from moms who are saying my adult child won't speak to me anymore. Like, that's division. And I want to share, just really quick, a strategy that has served me in raising my seven children. They're all grown adults, and I want to give every mom this strategy. And I call it, I have a Secret. Okay. So when we dedicate our hearts like God, show me where I've opened the windows. We didn't do it intentionally. Just culture has a way of creeping in. No condemnation. We've all just like you said, you've been there, I've been there. So where have I allow these windows to be open? Okay, I'm closing it off. I'm sanctifying my home. And I've got a helper. The Holy Spirit will never call me to do anything that is impossible with his help. So here's. We have a promise from God of healing in our homes, of healing in our marriages, of healing in those relationships. Like God wants unity in the family, was his design from the beginning. So when moms are struggling with, like, I've tried everything. I've tried to talk to them. I've tried this. I've tried to take their phones away. They sneak it. They do this. Oh, my gosh, they're now they're addicted to this. Okay, stop. Because that's what the enemy wants to tell you. That is hopeless.
That's right.
But every promise of God, it can be fulfilled when we take on that easy yoke and allow him to do the work. So there have been times in my life when I'm like, I don't know how I can reach my child. And if any mom says that they haven't been through hardship, then there's other lies they might be telling too, because every mom has gone through this and there are times when I'm like, all right, God, I'm going to take my hands off and I'm going to allow you to put your hands on. And instead of operating in fear and anxiety, which is a mom's go to sometimes Laura, and control, and control and control. We have to control our children. Yep, yep, That's a good one right there. We could talk for an hour about that.
Oh, yeah.
I want to challenge moms to operate in gratitude, joy and freedom. It's like, I have a secret. Whether you like it or not, you're God's.
That's right.
You were his before you were mine. I released my hold on you and watch what God does. And just operating was like, okay. You could just think what you want. You can just believe what you want about your sexual preference. You can believe what you want about, you know, oh, you know, we, we can take these substances. It's okay. It's all cool. Believe what you want. I'm. I'm releasing you. Because God, it says in the Bible, he can turn a heart of stone into flesh.
That's right.
Get excited about what God's going to do in your home.
Absolutely. And I want to encourage women also to. The spiritual weapon. Right. You're not fighting flesh and blood. You're not fighting your child. You're fighting the spirit. Spirit of this age. And so I want to encourage you my secret. Here's my secret. My secret is the weapon of prayer and fasting. A million women is a prayer movement. And we have seen the atomic bomb that prayer and fasting together, how they can soften hearts in the spirit, how they can. It can do the work for you. It can shift things, you know. On October, October 12th last year, we gathered for a 10 hour prayer meeting. We all fasted. Some say as many as 375,000 women, Hannah and and men descended on the Mall. It was the largest Christian gathering in over 20 years in America. And the assignment of Our prayer that day was to pull down the manifestations of sexual perversion, the homosexual agenda, the radical feminist ideology, or all pornography, homeless, all of that. And we are seeing the fruit of our prayers. This is what prayer and fasting can do. When I was away from the Lord as a young adult woman and I was raised in the house of God, my parents, instead of trying to control my actions, instead of trying to say, don't do that, don't do this. They did try that, you know, for a minute. But yeah, for a minute they would go away. They went to a cabin and they took only liquids. And for three days they fasted and they cried out to the Lord for me. And within a matter of days, God apprehended my heart. God reminded me of who I was. They spoke words of life over me and I was literally pulled out of a lifestyle, a trajectory that was just spiraling downward. So I want to encourage mamas, ask the Lord. Lord, would you call me on a 21 day fast for my child, on a 40 day fast, on a three day fast to see the powers of darkness broken over my family? It's not about works, it's about partnering with the Lord in the place of prayer to see those demonic voices silenced over your child's mind.
Oh man, that is so powerful. And God says if my people will pray.
Yeah, yeah.
And, and I believe like fasting some and I don't want people to think, oh well, fasting is, is let me, let me do this for God and maybe he'll do something for me. Fasting doesn't change God. It changes you. It works in you. It's like a purging of everything that could be that you don't even know.
That's right. You remember the Lord Jesus said, it's his disciples, they tried to cast out some demons. And he said the reason you didn't have authorities because some only come out by prayer and fasting. And so fasting does shift things in the spiritual. You're not twisting God's arm, but you're partnering with him in a level of intercession that really just shifts the spiritual realm.
Yeah, yeah. I had so much confusion about fasting. And I remember when I fasted, what I realized and how God worked in me is that so many times as a woman, as a mom, we just, like you said, we love to control things and is a temptation to operate in the natural right always, like, let me control my child. Let me, let me demand this happen right now and let me get mad if it doesn't like so much of us wants to control because we feel safer in that place. And what I realized when I fasted is every time I got hungry, I had to say, no, I'm a supernatural being. I'm not going to respond to a natural tendency. And I believe what fasting does is it removes the natural, like that knee jerk response that mom said, let me get upset, let me get angry, let me get sad, let me get. Let me get like, I got to figure this out mode. And it makes us turn to our original state. I am a supernatural being before I was ever in this body. And I'm going to partner with God in the highest way. He says his ways are higher than our ways, but moms love to work harder. We do that prayer and fasting makes us work higher.
That's right. That's beautiful. That's. And it's a surrender. It's a yielding to the Lord. You know, one of the things that a million women does is something called Frontier Co. Or we just finished our first session, and it's specifically for women, mothers, grandmothers, even a sister came, who are contending for their children, their loved ones who are in the LGBTQ lifestyle. They went through a three month prayer journey, and one of the main takeaways for these women and they. We just had a retreat with them. We just did an in person gathering at the end of this three month journey. It's led by a woman who was in. In the lifestyle, a lesbian for many, many years. She's been radically set free. So a lot of these mamas had kids that were transgender that are transgender. You know, they're. They're isolated. They're. They broke off communication because their parents have refused to call them by their preferred pronoun or by their. Their transgender name. And they're like, no, God gave me a daughter, not a son. So they found this group of comradery, and they prayed for three months together. The biggest takeaway for them was, lord, you're in control. And God was working on their hearts. God was breaking out their religion. God was delivering them and teaching them how to love their children. And such a powerful. Not affirming their. Their sinful lifestyles, but it just. They were bolstered in confidence. So again, mamas, I just want to say, you're not fighting flesh and blood, and. No, you want to spank your kids even though they're 18. My mom did spank me when I was 18. That's a whole nother story, y'.
All. Oh, my gosh. Okay, we need to do it. We need to do a part two. Just, like, wait. About that. Like, wait, are you desperate?
Yeah. Yeah. She was. You can't speak your kids at 18. You know, even though you're like, oh, you know. No. It's a spiritual battle, and so you are. God will fight that battle for you, and your children will come to the Lord. I want to speak over hope into every mother who feels like you are out of hope. May the hope of Jesus rise in you again. A fresh hope to go. Wait a minute. Lord, give me your heavenly perspective over the trajectory of my child's future.
Wow.
God's infusing.
Wow. Okay. I hope moms are feeling armed and ready.
Yeah, me too.
Like. Like supernatural warfare. Don't let the enemy drive you into desperation by working with flesh and blood. That's not how we do things. Come on. So. So, Laura, we were talking before we even got on here about what's happening in D.C. and I'm so excited. I literally. Y', all, I literally grabbed my phone, I put in my calendar. I'm like, I cannot miss this. I am so excited. So tell me what's going on, because I believe that God. I mean, after the horrible, tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, after how Erica has risen up to give a call to heal families, I'm. I just think God is using.
Yeah.
What the enemy meant for evil to have bring such revival and hope and restoration and healing to families, and you're on the front lines. I want to get in on this. Tell me what's happening.
This is so exciting. I just want every woman that's listening under the sound of my voice to go to a website, Communion America.com. and you are so right, Hannah. We are at a hinge. We call it a hinge of history moment, where we're determining which way is the door going to swing over our nation. That's what a million women was about last October 12th. We were crying, crying out for mercy on the day of atonement. I fully believe in the power of agreement and the power of mass assembly and gathering. A million women was, you know, one of those moments. But we're. We're coming upon another one called Communion America. That was set in place about 10, 10, 12 months ago. They picked the date for this weekend. It just happens to be exactly a year from a million women. Now, a lot of people missed. Well, we had 375,000, but a lot of people are like, oh, I wish I could have been there. It looked epic. You know, this mass gathering on the mall. Well, if you missed last year. Do not miss this year. There's going to be a tent representing every single state in our union. So 50 tents on the mall where there's going to be 24 hour worship from October 9th through October 12th, 24 hour worship representing each state. There's going to be one for Gen Z and then there's going to be a Gen z rally on October 10th. But then on October 11th, there is going to be a table a mile and a half long, the length of the entire Washington Mall where we are going to gather together from all over the nation. We're going to break bread with one another, but we're going to gather around the table of the Lord and we're going to take communion together. If you are a believer, you know there is no higher authority than the spilled blood of Jesus Christ, than the broken body, than what Jesus did on the cross for our salvation, for our freedom. Not only for us, not only for your families, but for our nation. And when Charlie Kirk was assassinated, it became a watershed moment for our nation where we can go, all right, we are at a moment in our nation where we can swing the door of history and believe for righteousness to sweep over our nation. So we are going to take communion. If you are in the D.C. area, you can hop on a plane, you can get on a train. I want to encourage you being there in person, having your prayer of agreement, having your feet on the grass, having a seat at that mile long table really does shift things over our nation. And so for those of us that are on this planning committee, a million women is a co collaborator, you know. Bethel Church in Reading, upper room. Lou Engel, Awaken the Dawn. The Justice House of Prayer, so many other ministries were all working together because we believe that only united prayer and fasting can heal a divided nation. We believe that as Erica released this, these powerful words of forgiveness. Let's just think about this for a moment. On the night Jesus was betrayed, it says in the word of God, he knew that at the table of the Lord when he offered his disciples that communion, that every one of those men would either turn their back on him or deny him on that very night. And it says on the night Jesus was betrayed, he broke the bread, he offered the wine. And communion is a table of forgiveness. What if instead of demanding retribution, instead of doing what we see so many in our age, you know, rioting, demanding retribution, raging, there's a spirit of rage. Even some have said we're at the precipice of a civil war. We Believe that the table of forgiveness, the broken body of Jesus can push back the rage in our nation, can push back the demonic principalities. That we would come in humility and when we've gone lower, that we would as the body of Christ, that we would go lower still and believe that what can wash away our sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. You can go to Communion America.com to register. If you are feeling stirred in your spirit, strap your babies, come wear your babies, you know, throw your kids in the minivan and tell them, listen, we're going to be a part of history. The America turn back to God.
Oh, I am so stirred up. I'm so. Ever since I we talked earlier, we connected and I found out about this. I've my husband, I have been having communion every single day.
Yes.
And it's life changing. And when you say how powerful that blood is, I believe that the blood of Jesus covers everything. And when we are at this time in history, we're making history right now, it's going to be through the blood of Jesus. That's the only thing.
That's the only have to engage.
You have to engage. We can't be quieted any longer. We can't sit in our corners any longer. The incredible shrinking woman is gone. It is time for her to rise up. Where are the Deborahs? Where are the Esthers? Where are the warriors who will stand up and say, not on my watch. You're not going to take my kids. You're not going to take these children. You're not going to take my country, you're not going to take my home. Where are these women? Because I believe that God is stirring them and they are rising up you. He overplayed his hand.
He did. He totally did. And we cannot let fear. You've not been given a spirit of fear.
No. We have power, we have love. We have a sound mind and we can do this.
So one more verse. I just have to share this story.
Yes.
In Esther chapter four, when Mordecai said, most of us are familiar with Esther. Right. Where are the modern day esters that are rising up? When Mordecai said to Esther, esther, if you remain silent at this time, relief will rise from another place. But you've been called relief. Such a time as this. We know this verse. I looked up the word silent in the Hebrew that, that Mordecai chose to use. There are five different words for silent in the Hebrew. This particular word though, is different than all the other ones. It's in Hebrew. It's called hadash. And what it means is to actually plot evil. So in other words, Mordecai was saying, if you see this evil going on in the nation and you choose to remain silent, you're actually in agreement with this evil. So you cannot remain silent because your silence is your agreement. And so some people go, well, I'm just going to opt out. I don't want to engage. And I'm not talking about being a social media warrior. I'm talking about engaging in the place of prayer. I'm talking about taking your authority and we are seated with Jesus in heavenly places. I'm talking about engaging on that level, not just ranting on social media. So if you remain silent, your silence is actually agreement to what is going on in the nation. So I'm here to tell you, dear Esther, you cannot remain silent at this time. God has called you to engage for the sake of the future. For Psalm 10:28 says, For a future generation, a generation that has yet to be created, that your children and your grandchildren will praise the Lord. That's what this battle is about.
Let's go. I am so screwed up because if a mom's not going to do it for herself, she's going to do it for her children. We will throw ourselves in front of traffic for our children. Will you throw yourself at the cross? Come on. Will you yield? Will you pick up your armor and fight?
Amen.
We need those women right now. And I believe they're hearing your voice and they're responding. We're seeing it. We're seeing it right now. Laura, I am so grateful for your time. This is so powerful. I can't wait to get this out. And guys, listen. Listen to what she's talking about. This communion is powerful. The blood of Jesus covers everything.
CommunionAmerica.com Communion America.com it's going to be a four day festival around the presence of.
We're going to put in our show notes.
If you can only go to one day, I would highly recommend October 11th at the massive community table. It's going to be historic. And there are just moments in history like this where you get to say, I was there. I got to be there when we had the largest communion gathering. I got to be there when the esters gathered on the mall in D.C. i got to be there. And so take your children. Stand in the gap for your children. Join us on the Mall on October 11th. Communion America.com love it.
Thank you so much, Laura. God bless you. You're amazing. All right, guys, you know where to go. You know what to do. We've been given our marching orders. Let's.
