In this live‑style Takeover Tuesday episode, host Hannah Keeley interviews entrepreneur and speaker Jennifer Allwood. The conversation moves from casual banter to practical tools for busy moms, such as using Instacart for grocery delivery, and quickly shifts to Allwood’s upcoming faith‑focused business conference (May 2‑3, Kansas City) that will blend strategy sessions (book writing, podcasting, email lists, network marketing) with worship, prayer, and healing. Allwood reveals she is signing a 60‑day book deal, discusses the pressure of over‑delivering, and shares her personal struggle to obey God’s call despite fear. They talk about fundraising efforts tied to a sex‑trafficking nonprofit, an auction of a painting, and a meet‑and‑greet sponsored by a women’s clothing brand. Throughout, they emphasize the “yes‑girl” mindset, the importance of community among faith‑centered mom entrepreneurs, and the need to integrate spiritual obedience with business growth. The episode also includes promotional plugs for Mom Mastery University and a free Mom Show starter kit. The tone is conversational, enthusiastic, and faith‑driven, with moments of vulnerability and humor.

Oh, it says we're live.
Alrighty. We are talking all things J for all wood.
Yay. That was a hot mess, us getting on here. I'm so glad that worked, Hannah.
Whenever we're together, why is it a hot mess?
I don't know, but I feel like, like my half of a brain and your half of a brain make like, this amazing, like, creepy.
Because I think we might have the same hemisphere. So we're just walking around lopsided all the time.
Like, we go to the.
I know, honey.
I know. Thank you so much for having me.
Here's the big question. How are these average everyday moms getting radical results in their lives? How are they able to transform their health, money, families, homes, and have fun doing it?
The trick?
We're not average.
I'm Hannah Keeley and I'm going to.
Spill our secrets and answer your questions right now in that mom show.
Oh, my goodness. I am so excited you're here. I'm so excited. We finally. I think we've been after this for like an hour and a half.
That's okay. That's all right. Yeah. You people are well worth it. And I appreciate you having me, but I'm sorry that that was hot mess.
Oh, I appreciate everything about you. And let me just say for everyone hanging out, who's going to get this live or later, that you need friends like this. Like, when I get with Jennifer, she's like, okay, let me push you where you're really, really uncomfortable. We're going to do this new thing. We're going to learn this concept and it's like stress inducing in such an awesome way. And you need those friends that will be like, oh, girl, you're not doing this. Like, get on the wagon, do this.
Are you talking about the software and stuff that we're using? Everything. Everything.
Well, I'll talk with Nicole. Walter. She's like, oh, you're not having your groceries delivered. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Can we talk about that for two seconds?
We can talk about grocery delivery for the next.
I know that's what we're not supposed to be talking about, but, honey, I gotta have things in my life that make things easier. And so who do you do for grocery delivery?
Okay. I can only say I've tried one service and I actually said a prayer of gratitude to God for giving me the service. Instacart.
I'm right. Instacart.
Instacart. Yes. And let me. And let me tell you this. My.
Who literally brings you the groceries? Okay.
The most amazing, beautiful girl with braids down her hair, and they were blue braids. And she walked in, and we're just, like, praising Jesus and for this awesome grocery delivery. And I'm like, girl, you're a mom. Are you in Mom Master University? We're going to get you in. I'm getting your contact information about to change right now.
Okay, so I've heard of Instacart, but I didn't know what it was. And so here's why I have not signed up Hannah. And I think that there will be somebody that this resonates with. This is why I have not signed up for the grocery thing, because I literally have to take the time. I'm, like, all caught up here, and I got mascara under my eyes. I have to take the time to, like, go and tell them we only like Charmin 2 ply toilet paper, and the kids will only eat Kraft Macaroni and Cheese spiral. Like, you know, I feel like I have to set all this stuff up, and that stresses me out because I'm like, I don't have two hours to go through my pantry.
I know you don't. And that's why you get your little app and you scroll down and you type in the gross. So we're basically doing a live all about making life easier right now.
You know what?
But this is the card thing you need. You want craft spirals and exactly how many of that.
Oh, my gosh. Okay.
Yes.
Day grocery service.
I ordered it this morning, and we ate. We ate it for lunch.
Oh, my God. You have just blown my mind. I just introduced you to Zoom Webinar. You just introduced me.
I introduced you.
This is why we're like PB and J. You and me.
I know your life is going to be so much easier. You will never have to leave your home again.
I am literally installing it right now. It needs my Apple id. What is. Yes, this is how old I am. What is my Apple id?
Do I have a computer? Where's my laptop?
Where is my Apple id? I've got this. Oh, I'm so excited right now. My husband.
Awesome is the best. But here's what you do is you get the express. So you pay, like, I think it's 99 for the full year, no delivery charge.
Okay. I love it. I'm all over this. Here's my only question, like, for some reason. And, Hannah, where do you live? I. I'm in Virginia.
Richmond, Virginia.
It's ridiculous how pretty where you are is.
It's so gorgeous.
I mean, it's just. It's just ridiculous. I'm in Kansas City. And where I'm at in Kansas City, because you would think Kansas City, big place, right? I mean, major city. Uber Eats cuts off, like, a mile from my house. Okay, so it doesn't have anything to do with weird boundaries, does it?
Like, no, no, no. Well, it'll bring up the stores that you have access to, so all the grocery stores. So I can choose. Oh, I want Kroger.
And I can't. I cannot even wait to get off this Facebook Live.
I know, I know. I can't. Let's. Can we cut it?
We're going back.
Like, this morning, I was literally like, all right, I'm doing this thing because I was going through my. Every morning, I write down all of my actions and then I move them to my agenda. And that's my map, my action plan for the day. It's actually mundane action plan, but. Okay, so I move it over to my action plan. I'm thinking, when I'm not going to be able to do this, and I don't want to, like, pay my assistant to do it, because I need her here. Yeah, all right, I'll do it. And it was so easy.
I'm all over it. Thank you so much for literally, like, just.
I've changed your life.
You just changed my life.
I just changed your life.
So. So, yeah. I am so glad to be here. Thank you. We are going to do my conference together.
I know. I am so excited. I am so excited. I need to tell everyone what? And I am just exposing everything about you and telling all your deepest, darkest secrets.
Totally fine. As long as you are not talking about my weight out loud. I will talk about anything else than that. Hormones, Wrinkles.
We can talk hormones. Yes, we can definitely talk hormones. Okay, so Jennifer, like, talks to me, and she's like, okay, I think I'm doing this conference, but I don't want to do it. Like, there's nothing in me that wants to do it, but God will not let up about this. And I just thought that was beautiful. It's like, so many times we're like, I'm gonna do this because it's gonna be awesome. When you know God is laying something on you, you're like, do I really have to go there? And you did it because it's so much bigger than you.
Well, it is. And so. And the only reason I don't want to do a conference, because that sounds so mean, but I'm not being mean. It's just.
No, it's scary to do it.
It's just that, well, it's a lot of work for my team. We are signing a book deal this week, Hannah. And so I've got a book on my plate that by the way, did you know how quickly they want you to write a book? They're giving 60 days. Did you know this?
Whoa. 60 days.
60 days to crash a book. And I'm like, okay, you know, but this is just new. But in my head I was just thinking, I already coach my. Look at this. My shirt keeps getting caught on my, on, on my arms is the wrong shirt. So I already coach over 3,000 women every month. That's busy. I've got three kids and we just took in a four year old toddler in the last six months. Busy. And so in my head I'm like an event just sounds like one more thing. But can I tell you how the event happened? Because it's a funny story. So when I was in college, I took speech as a freshman so that I would never, ever, ever, ever, ever have to speak in public again. Because I thought if I keep speech class until I'm a senior, like I'll have nervous diarrhea for the next four years. So we're just going to get it out of the way as a freshman, right? And then I'll never have to be in front of people ever. So like my job now is all I do is speak in front of people, whether it's on Facebook or a podcast or you know, TV or at a conference. And so so that happened. And then about four or five years ago, I had somebody asked me to speak and it was at a church. And so I thought, okay, this is safe ish, you know, because I'm a church girl. So that was fine. I realized I actually didn't hate it as bad as I thought I would. I also didn't die, so that was good. Then I was asked good not to die when you're so good not to speak or to die. At least somebody. I'm always like, if something bad's going to happen to somebody, film this so we can get ins to famous. But. But then I was asked to speak at an event with Chip and Joanna Gaines, who are the fixer upper people. So I was the Chip and Joe sandwich. So it was Chip and Joanna, Jennifer Chip and Joanna. And I know full good well those 2,000 people were just there for Chip and Joanna. But it was all good. Again, I did not die. And I'm like, okay, you know, chalk it up to A couple times of not dying. We're doing good here. And then God's really had me on this. Really interesting the last couple of years, as my business has really exploded, and I just have fully pivoted from what I used to do, which was a painting company, into business coaching. I've been going to all these, like, business seminars and business conferences and loving them. But every time, Hannah, I was coming away and I was going to some lifestyle conferences, it didn't matter. Every time I go to a conference, I would think, wow, this was so good. It was great. However, gosh, they were just. Just kind of missing something there. In fact, there's a lot of things missing here. And I just kept thinking, what an opportunity some people had to either get to the heart of some matters or lead people to Christ or talk about how the whole reason your business is not making money is because you don't believe you're worthy of money. The Bible says about this, or the whole reason, you know, that your business isn't exploding is because you're hiding. Why are you hiding? You're hiding because XYZ happened, you know, and you're feeling like you should play small. Like, so many people think they need a strategy. Or the next, you know, Facebook, what do I say? Secret sauce. Or the next email sequence, whatever, a new funnel. That is not why your business is not doing what it's supposed to do. So I felt like women were walking away from conferences feeling inspired and like it was a rah rah, rah session. And the truth was they were going home, but nothing would change because nothing changed here and here. And so I, you know, one day, this is the truth. At 47, I don't really jog anymore. I walk. It's a walk. Jog.
Okay.
Okay. I'm out walking, listening.
I actually realized I could walk faster than I could run. So I'm probably doing the same thing.
I get it. I had on Eminem because Jesus loves Eminem, too, and he has a song I like to run to. It's Clean lyrics on this one. And I felt like I was just supposed to turn off the music and just, you know, have a little quiet in my head. So I'm, like, walking along. And I was thinking, gosh, that conference I was at, it was a week or so before that. It was so good. But, gosh, I wish there was a conference where women would be able to hear about faith and business both. And I just felt like God said, well, girlfriend, then, you know, tag, you're it. And I was like, oh, no, no, no, no.
Let me put Eminem back on real quick.
Let's get back to the cursing.
No.
And so I just kept thinking, I surely I didn't hear that right. God, you know how I feel about being on a stage. You know, this is not where I'm comfortable.
The Lord doesn't care about your feelings.
Well, okay, so that is actually the entire topic of my book. That when it comes to obedience, my feelings do not matter. Like, this is how I related. I have, you know, I thought I had a whole lot of kids, by the way, until I met you. And I'm like.
And.
But one of my kids is kind of worth two, so I kind of have more than I actually. But anyway, you know, when I ask them to do something, like if I was to ask my 17 year old to come in and mop the floor, for instance, I want him to do it even if he doesn't feel like it, even if he doesn't know how, even if he's never mopped the floor before, even if he doesn't have time. I'm still the mom and I still want him to mop it. I asked you to. And so that's where I feel like I'm at with God. That he was like, jennifer, I'm. I want you to have conference. Like, my feelings really don't matter, Hannah. So I kind of like tried to ignore this whole thing for a hot minute, but I don't know if you've ever wrestled with God before. And he was just. So I made.
Right.
Yeah. I made the mistake of telling my project manager I had this, an idea for a conference. She's like, you realize people are asking you for a conference. I'm like, I know. And I just ignore them. And she's like, well, let's think about it. I'm like, let's not talk about it at all. Like, zero. But then, like, she just kept bringing it up and I'm like, you know, she was like, so let's not have a conference. Let's just say if we were going to have a conference, like, what season would it be in? And I'm like, stop it right there. Like, knock it off. So needless to say, do you ever watch wwf? I don't, but you know how they, like, tap out when they're done. I'm like, fine, Lord, I'm tapping out. We're having a conference. So we are having a conference. May 2nd and 3rd in Kansas City.
I'm so excited.
I'm excited because God's in it.
Hey mama.
We'll get right back to the podcast, but did you know there is an entire online university just for moms? If you're ready to get radical results in your life, just go to mommastery.com that's M O M M A S T E R Y dot com. Make sure you check it out and take your free quiz again. That's mommastery.com M O M M A S T E R Y.com now back to the podcast.
And the pressure for me comes from feeling like I need to really over deliver and I need to have a really great experience and I need to just leave all of that. I can't even, I can't even get my look at what's happening. Hannah, can I?
You're just a hot mess.
This is like, keeps getting stuck.
Like, who would make think about. They should think about big sleeves when they make a cheat.
Thank you. So we're having a conference. I'm starting to get excited because I realize I don't. It doesn't have to be perfect. I just have to do it. And what's funny is this is what I coach women on every single month in their business. It doesn't have to be perfect. Just do it. And so it's like God's forcing me to walk out in real time. What I'm coaching women on every single month.
So.
So the equipped conference is in a month. And when I was thinking about, okay, who do I want to speak? What would this look like? Do we need an emcee? Who would be the mc? Hannah. I'm like, I'm like, hannah, I'm having this thing. Would you be involved in my thing? And thank you for saying yes.
Oh my goodness. Are you kidding me?
Here's what I love. I've never had a conference.
Like, I don't care. I need someone to come and pass out popcorn bags. And I'm like, girl, I'm there.
Thank you.
I love everything you do because it's got just God all over it.
Thank you.
And. And you do it because you care so much about seeing lives changed.
I do. I feel like there's no greater high. Exactly, exactly. When I see. I just, I know how much my business has changed our family's life. Everything from the home we live in to the fact that we could take in a little four year old girl who by the way, you know, needs stuff. She comes from hard places. So there's counseling and appointments and so there's flexibility. We were able to bring home my husband from corporate America last year. And, you know, for the first time ever, we're able to travel. And we're taking my parents on vacation with us this summer. So I see what my business, how it can change our life. And so I know if I can change the way a woman thinks about herself.
Yeah. And.
And that will then change how she operates in her business. She could have that same opportunity to change things her family. And not only just for her family, but if you look at proverbs for her children's children. I mean, we're leaving legacies here, and we've got too many women messing around with, thinking they're doing a little hobby.
No, no.
Those hobbies could be blowing up into such legacies. And so my heart is so for the. You know, to help steer women in that direction and help them to understand how God views them, how he sees their business, what he wants for them. So the conference is going to be really cool because it's got worship, it's going to have times of prayer, times of healing. Um, you know, we're going to talk about stuff that has. Isn't really ever spoken about in a business setting. Such as, you know, I was talking to somebody the other day. Her business is really stuck. And I was talking to her, and I just. It was obvious to me that there are places of unforgiveness in her life that I think are attributing to her business being stuck. Girl, we got it. You got to deal with this stuff first because it's not like your faith is here and your business is here.
No, no.
We can't compartmentalize things. So when you look at it, just a whole it. You know, there's just. There's some healing that needs to happen in business women today. There's a lot of exhortation that needs to happen and just encouragement. And so it's going to be so good. Hannah, we've got some amazing speakers. You're the amazing mc. It's going to be awesome.
I am so excited about it because I know that there's going to be major transformation. Here's what really gets me stoked about this, is that women are going to come and say, I'm going to get, like, new strategies for my business to grow my business. And all of a sudden there is this breakthrough.
Yes.
And all of a sudden they realized that's why I was stuck or that's why I couldn't go to the next level. That's why I kept on sabotaging myself and my business is this Whether it's unforgiveness or whether it's unworthiness or whether it's anger or whatever the situation is, God has a solution. Yeah. And to have businesses so we can change people's lives.
Exactly. One of the things. And so. And you know what? We're like sewing into an organization called Run to stop it. At my conference, we're going to be auctioning like a really cool painting. I think that's supposed to be secret, actually. Okay, we won't talk about that.
Okay.
That really cool interactive painting we're gonna auction off. Okay. So, but then we're doing like a fundraiser next week in Kansas City. I'm doing like a meet and greet at Ever Eve, which is a women's clothing company. And they are the premier sponsor sponsors for my event that meet and greets. You know, it's 15 a person if you're local in Kansas City. But all the proceeds are going to a sex trafficking organization to help get women out of, you know, the sex trafficking. And so God needs some of his girls to be making some money so that they can sew into organizations like that. So it's never. The business is never about us, is what's, you know. So I told you at the beginning of this call that we're working on a book deal right now. And it's so funny how God is walking me through real time, what I coach women about all the time in every different level, Hannah, that I go to both business and personally. There's new things for me to deal with. And I'm guessing that with you it's exactly the same. Exactly. The other day I was having a freak out session about the book because all of a sudden we've been working on a book proposal for a year, but now all of a sudden it's here and getting signed, which means now I got to write a book, which I'm fine with. But then comes the vulnerability of putting it out into the world. And what if nobody buys it? What if my MOT best friend are the only one that buy a copy? And of my half a million social media followers we sell to, like, you know that this is the chatterbox, but.
That'S really what goes on in our heads.
Oh, my gosh. I'm like, you know, I've sold a ton of ebooks, but I'll never sell a reboot a real book. And so for the last like week or two, I froze on signing the book proposal. I just couldn't do it and was struggling the other night just thinking about it and felt like I heard God in my head say, but, Jennifer, would you write the book if it would just change one woman's life? And I was like, oh, you know, I'm not hearing the audible voice of God, but I heard it in my own head.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm like, of course, God. I. Of course I would. I mean, you know, how big of a jerk would I be if not? And then I heard God say, and what if that one woman was you? Like, meaning me? What if. What if I'm only writing that book just to prove to myself, that's enough. Write a book. And, yeah, what if it just changes me in the process? And so, you know, in my heart, I just keep thinking, I just want to be a yes girl when it comes to what God's put in front of me. And I want my reputation in heaven to be one that I say yes to whatever God's got for me.
And God's like, she is just crazy enough to do whatever I tell her to.
Exactly. So, yeah. So the conference is going to be amazing.
So this is the thing. You're listening to this. Like, you know, there's a conference. Be the yes girl. Like, see? Yes. And don't already start thinking, well, what kind of reason could I contrive to stay home? Because I've done that before and I've missed out on opportunities that God planted right in front of me. There's a reason you're watching this right now, But I have said no to opportunities and regretted it because I knew that God was telling me to do it. And I was too scared because I hadn't made that transformation to be a yes girl.
Yeah. God tells me it's so vulnerable to go to stuff, especially. So grab a girlfriend and both of you buy tickets.
Yes.
But, you know, here's. I was thinking about this the other day. I mean, from a biblical standpoint, literally, biblically, we just were never meant to do life alone. This is why there was Eve in the garden without him. But we also weren't meant to do business alone. And Hannah, I've had so many times in my business where I have felt like the Lone Ranger or I have felt like I said, this is someone earlier today. I have felt like Dolly Parton and that island in the Stream song with.
Her and Kenny Ro in the stream.
Yep.
That is what we are like.
I just feel all alone. Like who? There's nobody else that feels like me that's trying to do business but remaining really intentional about putting my husband and my Kids before business. And also, you know, trying to change, you know, our home life like, and be faith centered. Like, where are all these people?
And because every single guru you would ever listen to would be like, this is how you run life. And you're like, you have no idea the light. I could never do what you're telling me to do because that's not me. That's not you. It's not the women that we talk to.
Exactly. And so you know, just thinking about, are there any other women like me? I hate that feeling of just being all alone. And I keep finding like the Hannah's and Jamie Ivey who's speaking at my conference. And do you know Jamie, by the way, if you don't know her happy hour podcast, Chastity Stemons, who by the way is on Dr. Oz, I think for the second time this month. I mean that girl is on fire. She is speaking at the conference. Oh, now I'm like blanking out on all these people. But Brian Dixon, he has a TED Talk. When I think about all these people, like they all love Jesus. Jenny Taylor, she's a friend of mine. Jenny does grace, she's an MLM person, so she does network marketing. God's way. And so when I think about, I keep finding these few people and I'm like, okay, I'm going to put them, I'm going to put them into a room and we are just going to gather as many happen. Let's see what God does with this. So I do think that there's something very contagious that happens when we put ourselves around like minded people. I want it to be a seminar, a conference or whatever where you go home feeling like that was amazing. But more than that, I want you to go home with a changed heart.
Yes.
Vision of what God has for you so you. So that your life will look different here, go. Or you know, a year from now. So I'm not interested in it just being like, you've got this girl, you.
Know, there's enough of that.
I mean there's so much do more, push more, be more jazz out there and that, that's fine, but that's not what this is. And so there's going to be a lot of strategy. We have breakout sessions for people who are interested in writing a book, doing a podcast. We have a breakout session on network marketing. We have one on creating email lists, starting a course. We have an Instagram influencer that's going to be in the house. So we have lots of little breakout sessions. Not little but they're going to be amazing and powerful. So it's going to be both. So strategy and Jesus. So.
Oh, man, that's brilliant. Like, with a recipe like that, you can't go wrong.
I mean, and the truth is. I mean, I don't think we can either. And so God's going to bring the right people at the right time. We're praying for them. We are. We are full prayer team ready to go. You know, that day for people that they're just going to be praying before the conference, during the conference, people that need it during the conference. And so, yeah, it's going to. It's going to be so good, Hannah. And so I know I didn't want to have this, but I'm already thanking the Lord just for asking me.
I think it's going to surprise you, the magnitude and the effectiveness of this. This is a powerful thing because every time God tells us to do something, he has something so much greater than we could imagine on the other side, he doesn't.
And then I think, and what if it isn't this huge, magical thing for anybody? And I think, but I will have at least been obedient. And that's what he's asking me to do. So. So, yeah, thank you for coming and being a part of it. And I just. I can't wait to hug your neck in real life in Kansas City.
So I am so excited. I can't wait to meet all of your amazing tribe, all these incredible women who are growing their businesses and rocking their lives. And I just truly believe that this is the opportunity. Like, do what you need to do do. Like, don't come up with an excuse, but turn that excuse into your reason. Like, for example, with seven kids, there would be opportunities. I'm like, well, I can't, because I have so many kids. And then I realized, well, wait a minute. What if I can turn that excuse around to my reason? What if I need to be more? What if I need to grow more? What if I need to break it to the next level for my kids? And they became, instead of my excuse to play small, my reason to go big. Oh, that was good.
That's good. Let's tweet that.
Oh, we totally need somebody.
What's funny is, you know, you said yes to emceeing this, even though you've never emceed anything. And I was telling somebody yesterday that you were emceeing this, and he was like, I need to talk to her for my conference next year. So you just.
Yeah, gonna put on my dance.
Like who you're going to, you know, be, never know. And what sort of opportunities. Because here's what I do know about believers. Can I tell you something, Hannah? We love working with other believers.
Oh, you know it.
And so, you know, when you get.
In a room, I get my eyebrows done. I'm like, are you a believer before you?
I'm like, lord, I'm getting ready to go in for a massage.
Please let her be a believers on this.
I got you, girl. So our Uber driver the other day was like young kid in college playing basketball. He was so amazing. And it was a Christian college and my friends and I were like, oh, can we pray for you in the Uber car? It was awesome. So, you know, when you get in a room of like minded individuals who share a faith, man, there can be some strategy and, you know, collaborations and friendships that come because of that. So we are setting up the environment. We would just invite you guys to come. Can I tell them where to go get tickets? Yes.
And I believe the opportunity is that God is already opening up doors for people who are going to be there. Like, you are just really struggling with your sleeves in that chair.
I cannot wait to get out of this. It's so dumb. I can't, I can't even. I don't even know. Like, it just, it keeps going like this.
I know, I know.

And the chair or the shirt, but get rid of one.
