Hannah Keeley teaches parents of estranged children to replace fear with faith using the ABC method: Ask God once with confidence, Believe by picturing your child restored using Scripture, and Commit to that image daily through praise. She shares a story of a mother whose alcoholic son became sober, married, and leads a church recovery group after a year of applying the method.

And you're like, I know there's something better for my child and I've raised them better than this. What is going on? So I'm going to show you today in the crazy blessed show how you can bring back that prodigal child in three steps. And I call it the ABC method. Check this. Okay? I have a method on how I help people bring back prodigal children. Now, a prodigal child is a child that you have raised to love God, to, you know, be strong in their faith. And all of a sudden they just spiral like it usually happens around teens, young adulthood. Maybe they're starting to get messed up with drugs. Wrong. People drinking more. And it's almost like what is happening, like they are totally rejecting everything I trained them up to be, everything that we based our home in, you know, our faith, our family, they're rejecting it. So I'm going to show you, if you have one of those children, I want you to take hope because that's why you're watching this today. Because God does not want that child to stay away from you. He does not want families divided. God wants families unified. And that means bringing that prodigal child back home. So I'm going to show you how to do that and I'm going to show you in three steps. I call it the ABC method. So we just have to know one thing. Have you gotten inside the mom brain makeover yet? If you haven't and you're a mom, what is going on? I don't know. I don't understand it. Let's get back to the show. And I'm going to show you in three steps. I call it the ABC method. Okay? But understand this. When it comes to prodigal children, the dominant emotion that most parents carry is fear. They get very scared. They, every time they think of them, they think of worst case scenarios and fear. I Want you to know right now if that's where you are. If you've been like, you know, it grips you in bed at night, you wake up with it. You don't know. You know, when they're gone, you're like, what if they're in prison somewhere? What if they're on the side of the road somewhere? And so I want you to understand that. That a natural response of your brain because you love your child and because you're a parent. It is not for you to condemn or man, I can't control my thoughts. What is wrong with me? That's not what that is for, okay? It's just a natural response. So we're going to learn how to tame that, okay? How to reel it in and how to really use your faith to effectively bring that child back home. Now, I remember showing this to one of my clients. One of my clients had a son and in their 20s, and he was full on alcoholic and was throwing his life away. He was. He lost his job. He was. They never knew where he was. Sometimes he would. They would just wake up and he was like, on the front lawn. It was really bad. And it constantly plagued her. She was always thinking, you know, what's going to happen? Is, is he going to die? Is, is he going to get in prison? Like, what is going to happen with this? And so we worked with her to use this ABC model that I'm showing you right now. And I want to share this story because it is to inspire you today. Today it took a while. Okay, it took about a year. But today her son is clean. Her son is actually. Her son is married. They're plugged into a church, and he is actually leading a group in their church for addicts. Like, how cool is that? So I want you to know that your child's story is going to be a story of redemption. We're going to agree on that right now. And it's also going to lead other people into the kingdom. So I want us to just agree right there, okay? Whether you're, you know, watching this in your car from home, laying in bed, whether you're listening to this, whatever, I want you to know that God is a God that overcomes time and space. So wherever you are and where I am right now, God is going to join that faith together. We're going to join our faith in the name of Jesus and proclaim that your child is walking into his redemption story. And his story is going to impact the kingdom for good. Okay? We're just going to agree on that. Now let me go ahead and show you what the ABC method is, so you can start using that starting today. Now, a ask. Okay? This is what most parents get messed up in because they ask over and over and over and over, God, help my child. God, please make sure my child is safe tonight. God, keep my child alive. God, make my child pull away from those people and hang out with the right people. Please, God, please. And they are begging, God. They're asking over and over and over and over. Now, the Bible says ask and keep on asking, but what that really means is stay in the energy of anticipation. So when we ask, we're going to ask one time. Now, why is that so important? Asking one time reveals your level of faith. Think about it. If I told my kids we're going to have lasagna for dinner, okay, they could go to the monthly menu that I used to post. I mean, they're all grown out of the house now, but I used to post a monthly menu every single month. And they could see what kind of meals they were going to have. So let's say it's a Tuesday and it's lasagna. And one of my kids comes up to me and says, mom, are we going to have lasagna tonight? Yes, we are. And then they come about two hours later, mom, can we please have lasagna tonight? Yeah, we're going to have lasagna tonight. They come a couple, mom, can we please help? Okay. It's written on the calendar. You see me with the pan? I'm making it. Yes. We're going to eat lasagna 15 minutes before dinner. Mom, I'm so hungry. Can we please. We're having lasagna now. Why am I giving you this illustration? Because that's often how we approach God. We approach in this pleading, beg manner. And we are not beggars. We are children of the most high God. We have been grafted in to God through Jesus Christ. We are his children, his beloved children. We aren't beggars. So we have a seat at the table. We can ask one time and then operate in the belief that it's already on its way. So I want to share this with you. This Hebrews 4:16. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Are you in need? Yes, ma'. Am. Yes, sir. You're in need. One of your children is astray. They have gone to. They have gone prodigal, right? They are rejecting God. They're. They're hanging out with their own people. They are. They could be suicidal. They could. Like, are you in help? Are you in need of help? Yes, you are. So what do we do when we're in need of help? We don't beg. We come bold, boldly to the throne of grace. Like Jesus tore that curtain. We can walk right into the throne room. We can just, like, be right there with God and say, God, I am asking you for this. Now, this is important. We have to ask according to God's word. If we just ask, God, help, my help, my child. I mean, you know, he could. He could answer that, of course. But he tells us to call him into remembrance of his word. So we ask one time, all right? And then comes the B, which is believe. Now we get a picture in our mind of where God's Word says our children should be, how God's Word says our children should live. So we get a clear picture in our mind. So I want to share some of these with you. Isaiah 54:13 says, all your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. Is the peace of that prodigal child? Is it peaceful? Is his life peaceful? Does he have peace? Does she have peace? No, it says right here in Isaiah. Well, great shall be the peace of my children. That's a promise for me. I'm going to extract it from the Bible put in my heart. Okay, another one. Psalm 112:1 through two. Praise the Lord. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments. His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed. How beautiful is that. My children will be blessed. They will be mighty in the land. It is in God's Word, so it can be in my life. Isaiah 61:8 and 9 says, I will make an everlasting covenant with them. Their offspring shall be known among the nations and their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them shall acknowledge them that they are an offspring the Lord has blessed. God wants to bless my children. It says it right here. And Proverbs 27 says, the righteous who walk in his integrity, blessed are his children after him. So I have all the evidence in God's Word that he wants my children living a great life, mighty in the land. He says in Deuteronomy 28:13 that they will be the head and not the tail, the top and not the bottom. He wants them to walk in peace. He wants them blessed. Is that your idea or God's idea? It's God's idea. So now, how are we going to handle this belief part? We ask one time, right? God, I am asking you the name of Jesus by the blood of your son, Jesus. Actually, we can do that together right now. Father God, we ask you right now in the name of Jesus, by the blood of your son, Jesus, rescue my child. Bring him home, get him out of the pigsty where he is. Get her out of that place of overwhelm and destruction and, and harm and pain. God, I ask you, lift them up. Give them revelation, knowledge of where they are. Bring people who will intercept their path, who will lead him, who will lead them to you. Bring the right word at the right time, Father. Create a longing in their heart for you that only you alone can fill. Father, bring them home and bring them into your kingdom so they are mighty in the land and they will be blessed and they will walk in peace. That's asking. And we do that one time and we don't ask ever again because we already did it. It's as good as done. Now we go to believe. And what we're going to do is we're going to get the scripture and we're going to form a picture in our mind of your child. I want you to form a picture in your mind of your child, young man, young woman, whoever this child is, I want you to see them whole, have healthy, healed. I want you to hear them laughing. I want you to see them sitting around your table enjoying food and laughing with each other and being part of the family and engaging. I want you to see them worshiping God, loving Jesus. I want you to see them leading other people out of a pit, helping to clean up their lives. I want you to get this picture down to what they're wearing, down to what they're doing. I want you to get this picture so ingrained in your mind and you meditate on. On that. Why is that so important? Because Jesus already did the work. He said it is finished. So we now call the end from the beginning, just like God does. And we live in the finished work. When. When I say to live in the finished work, that means to put your mind in a place that the blood of Jesus has already declared that you live in. So we, we do everything this way. We called you from the beginning and we get that so clear in our mind. We. That we create it in our life. Because everything that is seen. Can you see your child walking in power, authority, loving God, serving the kingdom? Yes. Everything that is seen, excuse me, comes out of that which is unseen. The unseen is the picture in our mind. Now, I really want you to get this. Your child's life is so important. That's why this is not a here's your download 1, 2, 3 template. This is a lifestyle that you have to endeavor to. To stay in because your faith is strong. You have covenant power over your children as their parent. So you're going to hold this image in your mind. And here's the deal. We are not going to move from it. That's the C. Which is commit. We're going to commit to that picture, and we're not going to allow any fearful image, any fearful thought, anything that is not in line with that image to enter into our mind. This is called staking a claim. Okay? You're not going to let any fear contaminate what you're creating in your reality, in this world, in your family, in your child's life. You cannot let fear contaminate that image because faith, like when you allow fear in, we begin to tolerate it. And fear tolerated is faith contaminated. So you can't let that fear contaminate your faith in any way because you're doing a mighty work here and it's all happening in your mind. But. But this is how we change everything. This is how we create. Anything in this world is through our mind. So this is what we're going to do. In 2nd Corinthians 10:5, it says, cast down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. So from this point on, you're not just going to hold that image, but what you're going to do is think. Thank God for that. Praise it. And praise always precedes the victory. Every war that was ever won in biblical history was won through praise. We're. We're fighting a war here for your child. So we are going to praise that child into the kingdom. We're going to praise God for that finished work. We're going to thank God for it. Every day when you wake up, I don't want you to ask God to rescue your child. You already did that. I want you to thank God. Thank God that he is rescuing your child. Thank you for the finished work, God. Thank you that my child walks in strength and dignity. Thank you that my child is mighty in the land. Thank you that they are blessed from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet. Thank you, God that they're at the top and on the bottom. Father God, thank you that their life is glorifies you and that they live in peace. That is what you're going to do because this is just operating by faith. Remember Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Just because you haven't seen it yet doesn't mean that it doesn't have substance. Faith, your belief, is the substance that is going to bring that child back home. Now I want you to drop a comment and let me know how this helped you. Let me know about your situation so I can read the comment and join my faith so with you and we can bring that child back home. I love you. I'm rooting for you. I promise you put this to work and you are going to be blessed like crazy.
