In this energetic, motivational podcast episode, Hannah Keeley addresses work‑at‑home moms who want to turn side‑hustles into lasting, generational businesses. She outlines five concrete pillars: (1) abandon “trial mode” and treat the venture as a permanent enterprise rather than a hobby; (2) establish daily, results‑focused systems that prioritize action over cosmetic setup; (3) surround yourself with “butt‑kickers” – accountability partners who challenge excuses instead of “back rubbers” who enable them; (4) build a family legacy by involving children in the business, using them as idea sources and accountability tools; and (5) consistently “show up” with sweat equity, recognizing that merely claiming ownership isn’t enough. Throughout, Keeley mixes tough‑love advice with enthusiastic encouragement, interspersed with promotional calls to her Mom Mastery university and a free Mom Show Starter Kit. The episode’s purpose is to shift listeners’ mindset from hobbyist to serious entrepreneur, providing actionable daily habits and a community‑driven accountability framework.

So excited for you guys, today's training is gonna kick some butt. So I hope you have on your steel toe boots and your big girl pants. Cause you're gonna need it today. Here's the big question. How are these average, everyday moms getting radical results in their lives? How are they able to transform their health, money, families, homes, and have fun doing it? The trick. We're not average. I'm Hannah Keeley and I'm going to spill our secrets and answer right now in that mom show. All right? We're talking about building a business that's going to last. Like, not just a little, you know, flash in the pan, but something that's going to last and go the long haul. Something that you will pass down to generations. That's what I'm talking about. Because I want you to get a big picture right now of the possibilities that you have. Because truly, you're unlimited. You're only limited by what you believe about yourself and about the business you run. And I want to show you. I want to show you five ways today that you can create as a work at home, mom, or whatever you're doing. Your side hustle. How you can make. Even if it's a side hustle, it's not what you do full time. If you have a hustle, I want to show you how you can turn that into a hugely profitable business that will last and go the long haul. Because that's what we're in it for, okay? That's what we're here first. And I'm gonna. I'm gonna get down to business, okay? We're not gonna waste time, because I know time is the most valuable resource you have as a moment. So we're going to cut through the chase. I'm going to give you tactical strategies that you can put into place right now to build a business that will last. And number one, get out of trial mode. Get out of trial mode. Think about this. If you've ever been through a big city, they're like always building stuff, right? And like, every time I'm in New York City, you always have to walk under the scaffolding because they're always building and always redoing stuff. Stuff. And whenever they're putting a new building in, I want you to think about this. How many times does a construction crew show up when they're going to put in a building and think, well, maybe we should just like, kind of try it out and see if this is a good spot for business. See if it's a good spot for A building. And then we can like take it down later. Like, there's no trying out when you're talking about building something that will last. When you put a building in a city, it doesn't go in until everyone agrees. You know what? This is going to be a permanent fixture. So they go in and they dig it up, they pour the foundation. It takes longer probably to build the foundation than it does anything else. If you're building something of huge proportions, something of magnitude, it takes a good long time to build the foundation. You can go past the building site. You're like, oh my gosh, they've been doing this forever. No, they're just working where you can't see it. They're doing things underground. They're building the foundation. Yeah, just like Yoda says, do or do not. There is no try. You build the building or you don't build the building. There's no, well, let's try it out. Let's build one out of cardboard. If it looks like a good spot. And if it works, we'll keep it. No, you don't do that. You spend a long time, usually if it's something that's gonna last, you spend a long time building that foundation. You go deep and you pour it with permanence. You're putting, putting cement down. You may be putting like so much intricacy in the bottom. Like, like running all the pipes, running all the electricity, putting all the systems into place. This is what you need to think about when you're building a business, especially as a work at home mom. When the majority of your resources have to go to your family and your home. And you, and you had to be so, so careful and so wise about the resources that you have in your day to work on your business. You can't be like tiptoeing around this thing. If you're going to do something you do with permanence, you do something that will last and you don't, you get out of trial mode. So don't. Like, if you're in trial mode, like, get out. Like, don't even bother building a business. Don't even, don't even do that. Like, just, you know what? Do me a favor and do yourself a favor. Please listen to me. And I'm gonna, I'm gonna say this nice, okay? If you're dabbling in, in your business, if you're trying it out, then just call it a hobby, because it's not a business. You're not legitimately building a business. You have a hobby. And that's totally cool. Like, you can do that. That's totally fine. I guarantee if I, like, signed up as a essential oil distributor, I would. It would be a hobby. I would be doing it to get a discount price on oils so that I could, like, fill up my diffusers every morning. You know, that's what I would be doing it for. Like, I would be dabbling in a hobby. So if you're dabbling and if you're still in trial mode, if you're still like, well, if it works, it works, but if it doesn't, it's okay, then don't call it a business, call it a hobby. And that's okay. You can have a hobby. But if you're going to legitimize this thing and if it's a business, like, work it like a business, you work it with permanence and you work it with wisdom. And you spend your resources wisely. You don't sit at your desk when you have finally 45 uninterrupted minutes. You're not going to sit at your desk and organize your desk and go through your files and make sure you have, like, your contacts in place and look online and see what really good, like, social media classes there are and get some more strategies in place. Place and write out your script for your webinar. You're not going to do that. That's wasting your resources. You have to do it with wisdom and you have to be, like, smart and wise about this. There's a difference between being smart and being wise. You have to be both if you're going to build a legitimate business. So get out of trial mode. And if you are in trial mode, then don't call it a business, call it a hobby and just enjoy it. Just enjoy it. Like it's okay to just enjoy a hobby. Right. But if you're going to build a business, I believe you're here because you want to legitimately build a business that will support you financially, that can grow, that you can create wealth that you can hand down to generations that come after you. I believe that's why you're here. So how do you do that? Okay, number one, get out of trial mode. Number two, set up systems. Set up systems. But a word of caution here. You can get so keyed up with setting up systems that you overlook operating the business. Okay, you can be like, well, I need to have the right system on how to follow up with people and how to, how to make sure that everyone's going into the right, like, label in my filing system. And make sure that you know what, you can, you can overdo the systems instead of just working the business. So make sure you don't overthink this thing. But you do have to set up systems. Because when you set up systems, you are, number one, legitimizing the business. And number two, this is probably the most important. You're taking your business out of someday and putting it into today. So here's what I mean by setting up systems. You know that every single day something is required of you. I'm not talking about setting up systems. Like, let me get a good cute little logo for the email I send out. Like, you know what, you can create a logo, but that's not putting money in your wallet. I'm just saying you can create a logo. You can get branded, you can get new pictures taken, you can go to all the online webinars. That's not putting money in your pocket. You've got to get a system. And here's your system. What do I do every day? That's your system for right now. If you are like ready to, like, really hit the ground running, that's your system. What do I do every, every day? What do I not go to bed until I do? If it's, I'm going to follow up with 15 people, then you follow up with 15 people. I don't care if you're texting them at 2 in the morning. But you do what you say you're going to do. That's a part of having personal integrity. And I've probably told you this if I've told you once, I told you a thousand times, lying to yourself is the worst form. Sorry, it's so deep to me, I have a hard time even saying it. Lying to yourself is the highest form of treachery. Lying to yourself is the highest form of treachery. It is the worst form of treachery. It is the most grievous form of treachery. Because when you lie to yourself, you no longer trust yourself. You no longer follow through. You no longer have integrity. You, you no longer get results. Hey mama. We'll get right back to the podcast, but did you know there is an entire online university just for moms? If you're ready to get radical results in your life, just go to mommastery.com that's M O M M A S T E R-Y.com make sure you check it out and take your free quiz again. That's mommastery.com M O M M A S T E R Y.com now back to the podcast. What do I mean by when you lie to yourself? When you say you're going to go to the gym and you don't, you're lying to yourself. When you say you're going to follow up with 15 people and you don't, you lie to yourself. So what I'm telling you is you have got to decide. Your system right now is what am I going to do every day before I go to bed to build my business? So it's built to last. What am I doing every day before I go to bed? How many phone calls do I make? How many follow ups do I make? Like, set a goal for yourself. How many sales am I going to hit today? And you really need to focus on that. What am I doing on the daily. And forget about all the superfluous stuff that is just distracting you and not building any wealth. If you're not seeing it in your bank account, then you're not operating your business. Okay? That's just what it comes down to. And you can spend your time saying, well, I got to have all this stuff set up. No, no, you don't. The only system you have to set up is you get to know people, you tell them what you do and you follow up. That's it. And you do that every day. Every dang day you do that. Now, number three, and this is huge. So huge. Because this will make or break your business and this will make or break you. I'm getting personal here. So make sure you put on your steel toe boots. I'm getting personal. Get butt kickers, not back rubbers. Get butt kickers, not back rubbers. The people you surround yourself with will determine the level to which you will go in your business. And if you are getting butt kickers that surround you, that means they're not going to put up with your stupid stuff. They're not going to put up with your excuses. They're not going to put up with you griping and moaning. They're not going to put up with it. You need butt kickers. How do you know the difference between a butt kicker and a back rubber? If you go to this person with a grievance or an excuse, they will not say, oh, baby, yeah, I understand. I, I know, I know, I understand. Those are your back rubbers and you. And they make you feel so good and so validated. They make you feel so validated in your crap. And there's a place for them, but it's not in your circle where you're trying to do business, you need the butt kickers. You need the people who, when you go to them with your, oh, my days just got crazy and time just slipped away. They'll say, sorry, excuses are like buttholes. We all have them. And you have 24 hours in a day. So what did you do? Come on, I want to see you succeed. Those are the butt kickers and those are the people that you need to have in your circle. And here's. Guys, I love you, but I need to tell you something that may hit home if you are with people in your business. If you're with people who talk about the business and they want to bring you into it in like, well, let's just talk about these details and let's talk about this. And really their intent is let's find fault. They're talking about the business. They're not building the business. Okay? I'm just telling you, they're talking about the business, they're not building the business. Those people will not be successful. Because when people talk about what's wrong with the business, what they're doing and is, is a subconscious act here, what they're doing is exposing a lack mentality to somehow validate why they can't succeed in the business. Do you understand what I mean? Now, I know I'm hitting home. I know I'm probably stepping on toes, but we got. You got to have steel toe boots in order to operate a successful 6, 7 figure from home, business from home, okay? You gotta have steel toe boots. So what I'm saying is, if you're with people who talk about the business, what could be better? What's going bad, what needs to be fixed? Instead of building the business, they are trying to validate a lack mentality because they're trying to find a reason why they're not building the business. And other people are. I'm just speaking truth here. If that's you, shut up and grow up, okay? Shut up, grow up, show up. Because I want to see you succeed. And I know I may be stepping on toes. I know I may be getting on your nerves, speaking this frankly, but I want to see you get out of debt. I want to see you buy your home. Not just your home, but buy your mom and dad a home. Buy your kids their home when they grow up and get married, go on a vacation that's totally paid for, retire early. That's what, what I want to see. And so I can't rub your back all the way there, but I can kick your butt and I will do that because I love you so much and I want to see you break free of what is holding you back in your belief. Something's holding you back. If you find more problems with the business, then something's holding you back in your belief. And that will hold you back from creating wealth. It will. Okay, I love you and I'm going to kick your butt. So if you're. You need to surround yourself with butt kickers and not back rubbers because they don't want to see you succeed. The back rubbers want to keep you right where they're comfortable with your performance. And I guarantee when you start making six, seven, eight figures, those back rubbers aren't going to be rubbing your back. They're going to be talking about you behind your back. Because that's the quality of people. Now. They can always improve, they can always grow, they can always develop. They can always overcome limiting beliefs. But I need to let you know, if you find yourself in the midst of these people, you better get out. Because you will become like them. You'll get roped into the talk, roped into the fault finding, roped into the politics and the drama. You don't have time for that, baby. You've got a legacy to build. You don't have time for that. Ain't nobody got time for that. All right, are we good? Are we good? Okay. All right. I just love you. Please know I love you. All right. Number four. Number four. When it lasts, it's a legacy. When you build a business that lasts, it's a legacy. Now what do I mean by that? Make it a family business, baby. That's one thing that work at home moms totally forget about. They consider their kids a distraction. That they either have to be a mom or be a businesswoman. That you can't mix the two. That my kids are holding me back from hitting my six, seven figures and all of a sudden the kids are the excuse. Bullcrap. No, it's not. Don't call those precious humans that God gave you an excuse to why you can't build your business. They are a blessing to you. Bring them into the business. Show them what you do. Let them rep the brand. Let them talk about it. Get their ideas on how to share. Let them film your videos for you. Get them involved. That's what a legacy is. That's what is so beautiful about work at home. Moms. We are teaching our children what to believe about money, what to believe about business, how to be self disciplined, how to execute, how to maintain integrity. We're teaching our children 247 how to show up in the world and having a business is such an incredible tool that we have the power to use to teach our children. Bring those beautiful babies into the business and watch them shine. I get some of the greatest ideas from my kids. For example, inside our mentor program in Mom Master University, inside our mentor program, we're going to start doing badges and tokens when you start to hit new levels and you can turn them in for swag and all this stuff. I didn't come up with that idea. My son, who loves to video game, he came up with that idea. He said, mom, you should have like level up like in a video game. And then they get all these points and these badges and tokens. So much fun. And then they can turn them in and they can get like all these cool things. I'm like, oh, my gosh, that's awesome. Beautiful. Like that, that kind of idea. We need that. And your children have different ideas than you have. And here's the big thing. Your kids will keep you accountable. Mom, did you. Did you make all your phone calls you were supposed to do? Mom, you said you're going to film a video today. Did you film it? Yeah. All of a sudden you got to show up. You got to show up, girl. It's big. Okay, last thing. Last thing. Okay, you don't have a business by saying you have a business. That is not how you build a business that lasts. Saying you have a business does not make you a business owner. Working the business that makes you a business owner that brings you to a point of where you show up, where you show out, where you follow up, where you succeed is in what you're doing. The sweat equity. It's not just saying, oh, I have a business. Again, we're going back to the first point. Point that's probably a hobby. But you've got to understand that just saying it does not mean you have a business. You've got to work a business. People show up. Business owners. See, we have a unique advantage at work as workahome moms. We have a unique advantage that we can set our own hours, good and bad, because we don't have to show up at 8:45 and work till 520. Like, we don't have to do that. So sometimes we'll let time slip away from us and we don't utilize it to our best advantage and actually work it. Saying you have a business does not mean you have a business. You got to show up, you got to work it. And I'm here to help you. I love you. I know you've got a beautiful business that you need to bring to this world. You need to show up and remember, ain't nothing wrong with having money. Honey.
