Welcome to this video entitled CAPM Overview and Eligibility Requirements. As a presentation overview, we will, one, we will take a look at what is CAPM, or sometimes referenced as CAPM. We'll look at the CAPM eligibility requirements. Number 3, we'll take a look at the CAPM certification fee. And then finally, we'll take a look at the CAPM examination information. So without further ado, what is CAPM, or again, sometimes referenced as CAPM? So CAPM stands for Certified Associate in Project Management, and it is a credential that is offered by the Project Management Institute, or PMI, and it is intended to demonstrate understanding of the fundamental knowledge, terminology, and processes of effective project management. What are the CAPM eligibility requirements? In other words, there are 2 prerequisites to be able to sit for the CAPM exam, and the first one is you need to have a secondary degree. And what do we mean by a secondary degree? It's a high school diploma, an associate's degree, or the global equivalent of that. And you also need 23 hours of project management education. So now the question may come, well, what, what, what would compose or what could compose these 23 hours of project management education? So let's take a little bit closer look at that. So with these 23 hours of project management education, you must demonstrate that you have successfully completed courses, workshops, and/or training sessions similar to what we have on this list here. So you can see we have a number of those items here. For instance, a PMI registered education provider course, a course or training program offered by a PMI approved training partner, a PMI chapters course or courses, not just the chapter meetings, but an actual official course. Perhaps you have an employer or company sponsored program or workshop that could be included, or it could be a training company or consultants providing a workshop or a training session. You could have distance learning companies, including end-to-end course assessments, and also finally a university or college academic course or continuing education programs. Those could apply as well, as long as they are geared towards project management. So these are the way— these are a number of the ways in which you could incorporate or accumulate those 23 hours of project management education. So number 3, the 3rd topic on our agenda for today is the CAPM certification fee and the fee to take the CAPM exam for non-members. And when we say non-members, not a member, not currently a member of the Project Management Institute, that fee would be $300. However, if you are a member of PMI, then the fee would just be $225 to take that exam. Certification exam. And then finally, just a little bit of information about the exam itself, the CAPM examination information. What we can tell you is it's a certification exam and it has 150 multiple choice questions. You have an allotted time to complete the exam, which is 3 hours. So that's the information that we can give you at this point in time with respect to the CAPM exam itself. So if you're interested in free project management training, we'd suggest that you visit www.exampm.com/free, and you'll find some more information there. So thank you very much.
