What are PDU- Professional Development Units in PMP?

It is a way to measure ongoing professional development, and this has to be covered after you have given your PMP certification. Basically, it has to be 60 professional development units, and since you already know that the PMP certification is valid for 3 years, so PMP holders can earn 60 professional development units within 3 years, and this is earned after you have cleared your PMP exam or you are already a PMP holder. Now let's go ahead and find out the role of PDU. So the requirements for PDUs are set out in PMI Continuing Certification Requirements Handbook. This you will get along with the PMP Handbook, which is provided by PMI. And according to the PMI-CCR, you are required to earn at least 35 PDUs under education category. So PDUs are earned under certain categories, and these requirements are mentioned in Continuing Certification Requirement System, which is an online tool which guides you about the CCR process.
