Anxiety is a bitch. And I want to share what I faced and what I learned and what I hear a lot from my recently separated or long time divorced clients who just can't get on top of it. And the reality is your life got blown up. You had visions, dreams, plans with another person and that got shot. And all of a sudden your trying to survive. You're in survival mode. You're single parenting, you're managing a household on your own, you're learning about the kids, appointments, teachers, everything else that you probably weren't on top of or responsible in how your partnership worked. So you're just in survival mode. What I want you to do is celebrate the wins, is take a moment to appreciate every step of the way, each thing that you've learned, each thing that you've been able to do on your own and start focusing on what to do tomorrow. That's it. When you've got that, the next day, then the next week, the next month, the next year, and start recreating that vision, that plan for yourself and your kids. Once you've got that, your desired outcomes, your desired path, and you start enjoying that day to day the rest, it all just fades away. Not forever comes back. But the more you bring that focus back, the better you do.
