A brief YouTube monologue by Hinesh Chauhan arguing that the cost of living has risen and suggesting parents use free online educational videos to engage their children during breakfast. He cautions against passive screen use at meals but frames short, instructional videos (e.g., bike maintenance) as teachable moments—then lists concrete bike-care tasks (lubricating chains, tightening parts, inflating tires, changing tubes) and encourages getting outside to burn calories with kids.

Shit's expensive, right? Everything is much more expensive than we've ever experienced in our lives in this world. And that's not changing anytime soon. And if you're privileged to live in Canada, with the wonderful leadership that's leading our country, it's only going to get significantly worse because really bad decisions have been made over the last eight or nine years. I digress. So YouTube online videos, there's so much free educational resources out there to sit down with your kids and go over while you're having breakfast. Although I don't support or condone the use or the watching videos at mealtime because that's a time for you to actually engage and enjoy your kids. I'm guilty for it at times, but it's usually in some sort of process to explain something or teach them. But having that time to say, hey, let's watch a couple of videos while we have breakfast on how to maintain our bikes. We all. I'm assuming we all have bicycles. Do you use them? Get outside, show them how to lubricate the chain, how to tighten this and that, how to fill up the tires, how to change a tube if necessary. And if you don't know it, you can learn it at the same time. So take this opportunity now that the good weather's here. And you know what? You don't need any gas to put into that bicycle. It's free if you have one. And I'll make your ass a bit later as you burn some calories with your kids. Enjoy.
