Decent Divorce Dads_Journaling_HineshC

Hinesh Chauhan walks through journaling as a tool for divorced dads to understand themselves better. Spend 20 minutes writing raw thoughts about past stressors like abandonment or conflict with an ex, then list three things you're grateful for and three you can control versus three you can't. Revisit what you wrote the next day to rewire how you think and show your kids integrity.

Abandonment, trauma, fears, breakups, current stressors related to the past ones, work pressures, not sleeping, trouble with your ex. Let's get started. Hi, I'm Hinesh Chohan. Welcome to decent Divorce Dads. Today we're going to be talking about journaling. Let's get started. Now. When you've got questions on anything, everything, pain persists, you want to cultivate awareness. The best method to do that is is by taking pen to paper and writing about it. You can explore past stressors whether it was abandonment, trauma, fears, breakups, current stressors related to the past ones, work pressures, not sleeping, trouble with your ex, other conflict or personality traits. Are you a people pleaser? Do you have other concerns or criticisms about yourself? Do you procrastinate any one of those aspects? When it comes to journaling, all those elements can come out and improve your health and improve your self awareness. And it doesn't have to be hard. The idea is sit down, block off 20 minutes, grab a pen to start writing. No direction. Be raw, ask yourself questions. You don't need to have answers. Write it down, revisit it the next day, but write, feel it, question it, reread it, get it out. And there's a reason why so many people promote journaling, whether they're successful entrepreneurs, psychologists, explorers, scientists. It's very meaningful and it's really helpful. And the self awareness and understanding of yourself that you'll develop will ultimately help you become a better parent. You'll be able to guide your child or children through challenging experiences. You'll be able to discuss the emotions behind them and you'll be able to lead them. Be that parent, become that parent, have that inner strength because you've done the work to rewire my thinking. I always write out three things I'm grateful for. I'll write down each of them and I'll sit with it and I'll really feel that gratitude. And that's to help me overcome my anxiety. And along with that, I'll write out three things I can control, three things I can't control. To give myself perspective and know what I can and can't do. That's how I start my day and I share this with my kids. As I've progressed and learned more and more about myself and emotions and become more self aware. I'm able to have more meaningful conversations with my kids and help them on their journey and continue to lead them with integrity. And that's what I want you to do, is to be able to cultivate the strength, this power and to become that parent. You want to be and to lead your kids with integrity. I really hope you enjoyed that, guys. And if you did, please remember to like, follow and subscribe. And if you found it was helpful, please share it.
