All that crap that you're putting into yourself and your kids don't make you tired, fat, etc. Not great. Now here's the solution. Let's get started. Hi, I'm Hinish Chohan. This is decent divorced dads. Today we're going to be talking about making a meal plan and why. Let's get started. Now how many times do you hear hey dad, what's for supper? And you're thinking should I get pizza? Should we order something? But what does that cost you? That adds up. And then there's the nutritional aspect of all that crap that you're putting into yourself and your kids that'll make you tired, fat, etc. Not great. Now here's the solution. Make a meal plan. Choose what you're going to have for supper every day and then do your groceries according to those meal plans. And how I do this is I plan for five or six suppers to make and I'll make double the amount. Take the leftovers, use them for lunch and usually as the week goes by, despite having eating them for lunch, whether it's for you or for your kids, you still have some leftover which can be another supper or two. Combine that with some basic breakfast staples. That's your meal plan. Now this helps you because not only does it save you money from not eating out, are you eating better? But you're also not wasting food. And to me waste drives me crazy. It's totally unnecessary. So please consider this. Create a meal plan. Eat well, live well. I forgot to mention since in our states or existences as divorced dads we have our kids most likely half the time. Which means our cycle of life is a 14 day or two week cycle, right? For me I've got my kids one week on, one week off. I have other friends who have a 2, 2, 3 cycle. Either way, when you've got your kids 50% of the time you're not eating as much the other half of the time. So this is what I do. I buy things that can be put in the freezer. So I'm not going out once every week. I really just do groceries once every two weeks. That makes my life simpler and it's all about whatever makes your life easier. Or this one time about six years ago I didn't shop appropriately and I may not have been in the great mental state. I lived off cheez whiz and saltines for a week. Wasn't horrible. You don't need to do that. Remember, 14 day cycle. I really hope you enjoyed that guys. And if you did, please remember to like, follow and subscribe. And if you found it was helpful, please share it.
