You. Don't cheat your kids. Seriously, don't cheat your kids. Let them make their own mistakes. This part of our brain, the frontal lobe, is responsible for executive functioning, time management, decision making. If you're an ADHD like me, doesn't work so great, and we have to make extra effort to strengthen those abilities. But for our kids, they need to learn it, and that's our role as a parent. Parent. As well as to help them create those boundaries, not take silly risks, but at the same time allow them to take risks so that they fall, but are there to help them get up. So don't cheat them. Let them make the mistakes. Because those lessons are the best lessons for learning.
