Your inner voice. Where does that come from? Is it a critic or is it someone who is a proponent? Does it prop you up? Does it hold you back? Does it get you where you need to go and want to go? Think about that for your kids. What we tell them, how we communicate to them becomes their inner voice. And about a year ago I had a little bit, a really big bit of an awakening when my son called me out on the way I was communicating with him and realized that, shit, this is not productive, not healthy. And not only did I realize that what I was doing and saying wasn't helpful or healthy, but I realized that it is not healthy for me. That inner dialogue within me is holding my back. I know where it comes from. I'm working on it. I have been working on it for years and years. Don't let that become the inner dialogue for your kids.
