A short YouTube monologue by Hinesh Chauhan advising parents to avoid molding children to fit parental ideals. Instead, Chauhan recommends providing a supportive 'container'—clear boundaries and resistance that guide behaviour—while allowing children room to grow, test limits, and develop their own identity.

They're not Silly Putty. They're not Play doh. They're not Plaster scene. You're not molding them into a certain format or way that you want them to be. You want to give them the container for them to fill, to really spread their wings. And consider that container also the boundaries that they need as they grow up and are pushing out almost boundaries as teenagers, as youth, preteens. Because that's what they're going to do. They're going to test their boundaries, and you need to give them a bit of resistance and show them what's right, what's not right, what's allowed, what's not allowed, and then give them a bigger container to fill out. Give them that vessel that they can grow into and thrive. But don't mold them into something you feel they should be based on your vision and your ideals. Let them develop their own.
