This YouTube video ("To Men who fear to open up" by Hinesh Chauhan, uploaded April 10, 2024) is a short motivational address urging men to share their struggles rather than 'suck it up' and isolate. Chauhan reframes the common military/cultural message to 'suck it up'—encouraging men to instead lean into opening up, because sharing accelerates healing, builds belonging, and relieves suffering. He warns against isolating behaviours (staying home, drinking, going to bed miserable) and highlights empathy, reciprocity, and being seen as catalysts for recovery.

They'll be able to be empathetic, they'll be able to, to guide you, like just give you the space to be, to see, be seen and heard, which is so healing and so healthy. And when you get that out, it's, it's relieving. And when it's reciprocated or it's understood by somebody where you feel like you belong and there's significance in what you're saying, that's the catalyst for that healing process. And, and more men need to really understand that. Don't stay at home in the dark, drinking, being miserable, just waiting for the next, waiting to go to bed. And this is so common where guys just.
