How to Create Content Consistently Without Burning Out

Burnout comes from complicated systems and vague audiences, not lack of motivation. Simplify by focusing one platform and using AI for editing, then define your ideal client through the 4 Ps: the specific person, their problem, their pain points, and what they want instead.

In this video, I'm going to show you how to create content consistently that attracts your clients without burning out, because I've been burnt out many times and I figured out what caused it. And once you understand these two causes of burnt out, creating content becomes more effortless. If you're burnt out and you're dragging yourself to get in front of a camera to record a video, it's easy to believe that That burnt out is created due to lack of motivation. And so the most logical thing for you to do is to replenish and refill that motivation, right? So it's easy to seek out motivational content, to listen up to Les Brown, Eric Thomas, or Tony Robbins, or read self-help books. But what if I told you that the real cause of burnt out isn't lack of motivation? When I first started creating content back in 2021, I started out creating content on YouTube, and it was because I identified— I identified with these guys. I wanted to be the next motivational speaker. Now, I didn't have any following, I didn't have any popularity, so I knew the best way to build up my credibility was to film videos. So like I said, I started creating content on YouTube. Then Shorts became popular, and for some time I had— I fought against Shorts because all these kids was doing all these weird dances. But all the marketing experts that I was listening to at the time just kept saying, you got to show up on Shorts. So I started creating Shorts on, on YouTube. Then I started posting on different platforms, Instagram and TikTok. Then I was posting different type of posts on those different platforms. Then that's when I experienced burnout for the first time. Now, I was able to keep up with all this because I was motivated. But when I wasn't motivated, when I didn't have the energy, when I wasn't convicted to share a certain message, it was hard for me to keep up with the demand of posting on these different platforms. And that's when I realized the burnout that I was experiencing wasn't because I lacked motivation. The burnout that I was experiencing was because I had a complicated content creation system. That is the first cause of what creates burnout. Before I get more into the complicated content creation system and how that's the first cause of burnout, I want to— I want to go back to the lack of motivation. It's like I said, it's easy to believe that when you lack motivation, when you don't have the energy, when you don't have that drive, it's easy to believe that that's why you're burnt out. Right. But that lack of motivation, when you seek it, it's only a temporary fix. That's why it's not the true cause of this problem. If it was the true cause of burnout, you wouldn't be seeking more of it to solve that problem. And here's what happens when you rely on motivation to be that key that ignites your content creation system. Motivation is like gas in a car. It can only take you so far. There are days when you are motivated and there are days when you aren't. And if you're only showing up when you're motivated, the person who you're meant to help, they're missing out on the transformation that you can only provide because either you're not showing up consistently or you're not showing up at all. When you're creating content only when you're motivated, you're losing the momentum or whatever goal that you're chasing after. Let's say that you're driving up a hill and you're able to drive as much as possible when you're motivated. Then all of a sudden you just decide to stop on that hill because you ain't motivated no more. Now it's going to take more and more effort for those wheels to turn and keep driving up up that hill. And that's the same with whatever goal that you're trying to reach out there for. If you stop now, you lose all that momentum and you have to put in more effort than before because you stopped. Now, if your system is complicated, you're posting different type of content and you're posting on multiple platforms trying to be omnipresent, I understand why. If you're getting advice from individuals who have a large team and they're telling you to post consistently every day on multiple platforms and post multiple times a day, it's easy to believe that because they have the ability to do that. And that's been able to create success for them, that's going to create success for you as well. But you have to understand where you are right now. If you don't have the capacity, if you don't have the manpower to help you, you're going to burn yourself out because it's going to be hard to keep up with all that because all your energy is diluted and is spread everywhere with no— with no clear focus or direction. In my beginning content creation days, I purposely created a complicated system. I wanted to be on every platform because I didn't have any following. I didn't have any popularity. So I wanted to increase my chances of being seen so that I can have speaking opportunities. I would hear these guys talk about how you need to be posting every day, you need to be posting multiple times a day. And I was doing all of that, but it was hard to keep up with all of that. Because my energy was diluted. It was all everywhere. And all these platforms, they have something— they have something similar, but they're, they're different. And you have to really know how to master one platform before you go to another one, try to master that one. I didn't know this at the time, but diluting my focus and not having energy in one specific place, I had bad quality content. And when you have bad quality content, how can someone receive the transformation that only you can provide if you're not giving your all to them? When you think about it, that's a business liability. When you're half serving someone and you're not giving them 10 times the value that can transform their lives. Here's something that I wrote down. You have limited energy and you can't afford a complicated system because it takes away from the pool of energy that you can have that can be used to serve other people. When that energy is used mainly by your complicated system that you only commit to when you're motivated, you have little energy to give to your people and it causes you to be inconsistent. So the first real cause of burnout is a complicated content creation system. The second cause is not knowing your audience. When I first started out, like I said earlier, I identified with being a motivational speaker. And so my content was all over the place. I thought I had value that could be great for everyone. I wanted to save the world and I didn't know who specifically— who my audience was. I was creating videos on the fear of judgment, depression, why happiness is a terrible objective to, to chase, the law of attraction. I was just creating all types of self-help motivational content and that negatively affected my content because first of all, because I didn't know who I was serving, YouTube didn't know who to send my videos out to. It was either sending it out to the wrong person or sending it out to people who would click off of it instantly. On top of that, because my message was broad, It helped no one. I was doing videos on success, but success could be anything. Success for you could be something different than what it means to me. So that general message isn't helping anyone. So because I was creating selfish content, I was creating content that I wanted to create that nobody else wanted to see, and I created when I felt like it. I was burnt out because I didn't know exactly what my specific audience would want to hear and see. I didn't know anything about it. And so I ran out of ideas, which led to burnout. When you don't know your audience deeply, when you don't know who they are, their problems, their pain, and what they're experiencing, how do you know what content to create for them? So I had to get clear on a specific person who I was looking to help. And when I directed my focus on a specific individual, I had endless amount of ideas on content that I could create for them. Because not only did I know their problem, I could anticipate the future problems that they would have. When you have clarity on that specific person, that clarity is like a compass. Without it, you're drowning in options. With it, you know which direction to go. So if having a complicated content creation system and not knowing who your real audience is, is what actually causes burnout, how do we really overcome this problem? Because it ain't having more motivation. Well, let me say this. Simplifying your system is the faster way to overcoming that burnout, because what it means is just either stopping a lot of the things that you're doing that you don't like to do or simplify the things that you are doing, making it more easy for yourself. Now, getting clear on your audience, that's going to take more deeper work. It's going to take more deeper thinking because it requires for you to really know who you're helping. But once you have that clarity, it's like being able to see out of a foggy mirror after you done took a shower. So let me ask you this. What are you doing in your content creation system that's absolutely draining your energy versus energizing you? For me, I've always hated editing videos. It just took too much time, especially when I first started creating content and AI wasn't even in the picture to help me work on some of the stuff that I didn't like doing or wasn't great at doing. I hated adding B-roll and this music and just trying to make these videos so professionally looking. That's not my skill set. My skill set is in speaking. So I started editing videos without editing them. Here's what I mean by that. If you've watched my previous videos, I don't have any B-roll. I don't have any music. I don't do all these jump cuts in those videos. Now, I will edit those videos by editing out mistakes that I've made or rants I done went on because I done got too excited. But other than that, I filmed the video, I edited out those mistakes, then I posted. That's about it. Also hated creating thumbnails because that's not where my creativity is in. My creativity is in how I speak. AI has simplified my thumbnail creation system. This is how I create my thumbnails now. I took a whole bunch of headshot pictures of myself and I just told AI to make it as minimalistic as it could. Adding some words and adding a little bit of, of effect to it. And that's how I create my thumbnails. I don't like wasting my creative energy in something I don't like to do and something I'm not really great at doing. So what is it that's draining your energy? How can you stop doing what you don't like to do so that you can put more energy in what you like to do to create a, a, an experience that your audience will gain a transformation from? How can you make your system more simpler and easier for you to show up consistently for those who will benefit from what you have to say? Think about that. Once you've done the, the excavation and remodeling work on your content creation system, then it's time to do that deeper work of getting clarity on your specific audience. Now, this— I will admit to this— it took me a long time to gain clarity. And part of that reason is because, first of all, I wasn't looking to gain clarity. And second, I was just too ignorant, right? I was just too ignorant. I was, I was too busy doing what didn't work, hoping that it would work because I didn't know that it wasn't working. I just thought that it would eventually someday. So what I'm about to share with you is going to save you the years of clarity that I was missing out on. I call this the 4 Ps of Magnetic Messaging. Of how you can create videos that specifically attract your clients. Now, the first P of having magnetic messaging and attracting your ideal specific person is to understand who that person is to begin with. Who is it that you can help? Usually the person that you're in best position to help is an older version of you. What did you go through in the past? What type of transformation did you experience? Who were you? For me, I was this individual who wasted 827 days before I posted my very first video because I was falling into belief traps that was keeping me immobilized and paralyzed from showing up for the people who would benefit from what I had to say. I felt like I could be great at what I do, but I had a hard time believing that. So my ideal person is the coach who believes they're an impostor, who believes that they need to be a perfectionist before they show up on camera, who believes that if they did show up on camera, people would judge them. That's the person who I am in best position to help. Who is that specific person for you? Really think about that. Once you have understanding who that specific person is, you have to have understanding of their problem. What is their overall problem? For me, I mentioned all the belief traps that I was enduring and the belief traps that these coaches are also enduring, but that's not the overall problem. The overall problem that I had was that I didn't think that I was ready enough to show up. That's the overall problem that I had that was causing those belief traps. What is the overall problem for your specific person? Matter of fact, create a profile for that person, name them, age them? What is their religion? What did they— what is their personality like? Like, you have to have in-depth knowledge of this individual. Why? Because when you do have this in-depth knowledge of this individual, when you're showing up on camera, that person is going to feel like you know them so well. They're gonna feel like they can trust you because you've been where they are right now. Are you seeing Why it's important to have clear understanding of your specific person. You have to be that radio station that only they can tune in and it will be hard for them to tune out and turn off. Now, after you understand what the problem that they're experiencing, what are the pain points that result to the problem that they have, the overall problem that they have? For the coaches who I help, it's frustrating to know that you're sitting on goldmine of value. All because you're afraid that either you're not qualified enough yet, you need to be perfect to show up, or that people would judge you if they saw you for who you really are. It's painful for them to see individuals in their industry who probably not even as qualified show up effortlessly. It's aggravating for them to want to show up and say that they're going to show up, but they lie to themselves and don't show up. And everything that I'm articulating isn't just what they feel what they're feeling right now. It's what I felt. Because again, the person who you are in best position to help is a previous version of you. Now, the final P of really understanding who that specific person is for you is to understand the pleasure that they would like to experience. My coaches that I help, they want to experience having more clients. They want to be the go-to face in their marketplace. They want to feel confident about themselves showing up. For those who they can best serve. They want more opportunities, speaking engagements, book deals, sponsorships, collaborations. What is it that your ideal person would like to experience? When you have full clarity of all 4 components of magnetic messaging, creating content feels like driving on a sunny day. You feel confident that you're going to arrive at the destination versus if you was driving on a foggy day or a rainy day and your hands are clutching steering wheel and you're hoping and praying that you don't have a wreck. Let me tell you, when I did the real work of really figuring out who my person was, I had an abundance of ideas, so much that burning out from creating content felt impossible because I knew who my person was. I knew the overall problem that they had. I knew the pain points that they had. I knew the pleasure that they wanted to experience. I knew the false and limiting beliefs that they had. I could also anticipate the future problem that they will have, the pain points that they will have, the pleasure from that, that they will, that they will want to experience. So you have to get clear on a specific person. You have to be the specialist for them and not the generalist for everyone. When you finally simplify your system and you get clear on your specific person, everything when it comes to creating content becomes easier. It is easy to be more consistent because you stop creating from confusion. And you start creating from clarity. You wake up knowing exactly what to film because you're solving real problems for a real person. And consistency stops being something that you force, and it's something that you naturally do because you're not waiting and relying on motivation anymore. You're not burnt out anymore because you're not managing a complicated system. And your clients, they're finally finding you because your channel feels catered to them. Feels handcrafted for them. That's what's waiting for you. That's what's on the other side of decision. So decide today that you're going to simplify your system and you're going to get more clear on the person who you can help. Because consistency isn't built on complexity, it's built on simplicity and clarity. If you're ready to take control of your life and develop that confidence that you've always been waiting for, then these two videos will help with that.
