Why Coaches Post Consistently But Never Get Clients

Coaches who post constantly but get no clients have a messaging problem, not a content problem. The speaker shares his magnetic messaging system: identify your ideal person, their core problem, the pain it causes, and the outcomes they want. Specific messaging acts like a GPS for content and converts viewers into clients.

Do you feel like the best kept secret in your industry? Like you're creating content and you're even showing up consistently, but unfortunately no one is watching and no one has become a client. Now, most coaches believe that they have a content problem, but the issue is something much more deeper than that. You see, you don't have a content problem. You have a messaging problem, and it's the reason why your videos aren't converting those viewers. Into clients. So in this video, I'm going to show you how to tune up your messaging so you can finally turn those watchers into clients. Now, I know this frustrating because you're doing exactly what these experts are telling you to do. You're posting consistently. You're showing up on every platform. You're even using the trendy background sounds to see if that works. But unfortunately, you already know None of this is helping. DMs are drier than a desert. There's no calls on the calendar and potential clients, they don't even know that you exist. So you decide to create more videos, make the editing fancier. You get, you even get a little bit desperate and you start to run ads on those videos. Or you might even try to add that Alex Hormozi style captions to your videos and still None of that is helping. So you start to think to yourself, maybe my content isn't good. Maybe I should just stop creating content. And listen, I understand this frustration because I experienced something similar when I started creating content. It was all over the place because I identified with men like Les Brown, Tony Robbins, and Eric Thomas. I wanted to be recognized and revered as a motivational speaker like they was. So I was creating all type of self-help content with no specific individual in mind. I thought I had enough wisdom that could help everyone, but I learned quickly that when you try to help everyone, you connect with no one. I thought that if I would just post more videos, post on different platforms, post all different type of content, I thought that I was going to live by the words of Sam Cooke when he said a change was going to come. But it didn't. In fact, I find myself getting drained and burnt out consistently. And I was saying, you know what? No one is watching this content. So I might as well take a break. And unfortunately, I didn't just take a break. I took several breaks. Nah, I'll be real with you. I took a lot of breaks. And I remember I had a friend who had the opposite results. He was gaining a following creating self-help content, but he wasn't posting every day like I would. He wasn't even posting on every platform like I was, and he wasn't even creating all type of content like I was. In fact, his videos weren't even edited. It looked like he didn't put a lot of polishing effort into it as I did, but his following was growing because he was speaking to a specific audience rather than speaking to a broad audience like myself. That's when I realized I didn't have a content problem. I had a messaging problem. And that's when I began to apply what I now call magnetic messaging. This is a 4-part clarity system that helps you position yourself as a specialist for a specific audience instead of a generalist trying to serve everyone. Magnetic messaging is when your message is so clear and specific that the right people instantly recognize is meant for them. The first part of having magnetic messaging is being clear on a specific person who you want to help. Who is that ideal person that you want to have a positive impact on? Who is it that you want to help? Be the specialist who helps a certain person rather than the— rather than the generalist who tries to help everyone. What I've found from creating content for a long time and being in this space, I've recognized that many creators refuse to niche down because they feel like what they have can help everyone. But your job isn't to help everyone. Your job is to help someone. Your job is to cater to them, create content specifically for them. When you get to the point where you start catering to someone, that's trust building, because now they think to themselves, oh my goodness, they went through what exactly I'm going through now. So how do you figure out who you should help? Well, the best person that you are in position to help is the person who you used to be. For example, I help coaches and consultants attract clients by speaking clearly and confidently on camera. And I'm in the best position to help those individuals because I know what it's like to want to create content but not doing so because of the presence of fear. In fact, like, can I be transparent with you? I wasted 827 days procrastinating, wasting time, and creating all types of excuses because I allowed fear to consume my life. And once I did start creating content, like I said earlier, my content was all over the place and I was confused about the content that I should create. But once I had a specific person in mind and I started targeting them, it allowed me to have my very first client. Even with a small audience. I'ma say that again. By speaking to a specific individual, that allowed me to attract my very first client, and I didn't even have a large audience. I'm talking about very, very, very small. Once you figure out who you help based on who you used to be, then you have to figure out the overall problem that they have. What's the problem that that's preventing them from peace? What's the one thing that if they solve today, it will be a heavy load lifted off their shoulders? For the coaches and consultants that I help, the overall problem is the fear of judgment. They're afraid that if they showed up on camera, their peers will see them as incompetent. They're afraid that if people watch their videos, they will cringe to the sound of their voice. They're even afraid that people will laugh at them for having low-budget equipment or amateur editing. Before I got to the point of creative content, I was afraid that my own family would judge me because they know me so well for, for who I used to be. I was afraid of them seeing me for who I'm called to be. And this fear had a— it had a strong grip on me so much that I would literally go on social media, find every family member that I could, and block them. To prevent them from even having the opportunity of judging me. Like, isn't that crazy to block your own family? And that's because if you don't take control of fear, fear will gladly take control of you. I digress. We're going to get into that in another video. When you address the problem that they have, you can position your offer as the solution. So what's the problem that you used to have? Once you have clarity of their problem, You need to understand the pain that's causing them discomfort. For the coaches and consultants that I coach, it's frustrating and aggravating for them to watch their competitors grow with little to no effort. And they put so much effort in only to see an ant-sized return on their investment. It's painful for them to keep lying and saying they're going to create content but never doing so. They feel embarrassed showing up on camera but not speaking in their natural voice. They speak robotic every time they show up on camera. That's aggravating for them. It's humiliating for them to make mistakes when they identify as a perfectionist. It even feels like torture when they're not comfortable in their own skin. When I was a kid and I ain't have nothing fun to do, my favorite activity was annoying my mom. And when she didn't feel like whooping me, she used to say, you know what, you a pain in the butt. And so the question I got for you is, what's the pain in their butt? Remember, they are who you used to be. So what had you frustrated when you were in their shoes? When you understand their pain, your messaging positions you that you not only understand what they're going through, you understand why it annoys them. Now, when you're clear on your ideal specific person, their overall pain, and the problem that's created frustration for them, you have to identify the pleasure they want to experience. What are they missing out due to their problem not being solved? For the coaches and consultants that I help, they are missing out on being the go-to face in their marketplace. They're missing out on, on all kinds of opportunities like speaking engagements or book deals or even podcast interviews. Issues. They're missing out on vacations and spending time with their family because they're overworking themselves to death. When I refused to create content because of the false beliefs that I had, I was missing out on serving the people who I was meant to help. And I, I felt guilty because I felt like a hoarder withholding value that, that would have helped them get from point A to point B. I felt disempowered. Because not being able to do what you said you're going to do, it feels like missing out, missing out a part of your manhood when you're constantly lying to yourself and you don't believe in yourself. I was also missing out on support. Earlier I mentioned that I used to block my own family members to prevent them from seeing my videos. Well, I got a big family, so I didn't get every last one of them like I wanted to, and some of them would find my videos somehow. And when I tell you that I was so happy to see them support me, it really encouraged me. And it's one of the best pleasures that I experience now. So what are the pleasures your person wants to experience? When you're blindly creating content, it's like driving through fog. You can't see where you're going, and all you could do is hope that you arrive there safely. But when your messaging is clear, that's when you're driving on a sunny day. You can see the roads clearly. You know where you're going and you feel confident that you're going to arrive there safe. So let the 4 Ps of magnetic messaging be the GPS that guides you to attracting the clients who you can best serve. I hope this video is valuable for you. And I hope this framework truly gives you the clarity of the type of content that you should create. So go ahead, subscribe, because I'm only going to do more videos like this.
