Why Nobody Knows You Exist as a Coach (Even Though You're the Best at What You Do)

Coaches stay invisible not because they're bad at their work but because their messaging is vague. The fix: pick one specific client type based on your own past struggles, name their exact problems, and speak to them like a specialist, not a generalist trying to help everyone.

If you're a coach or consultant who considers themselves as the greatest of all time, I'm talking about you're the LeBron James in your field, but nobody knows that you exist, then what you have to offer is not your problem. Your problem is that you don't have magnetic messaging so that people know that you exist. So in this video, I'm gonna share with you how you can develop that magnetic messaging to attract the right people who would know that you exist so they can buy what you have to offer. Now, back in 2021, when I first started creating content, my content was confusing. It was all over the place, and it was because I identified as a motivational speaker. I wanted to be recognized as a Les Brown, Tony Robbins, or Eric Thomas. I was creating all type of motivational, motivational videos, but it wasn't targeting a specific person. I was creating videos on how to develop yourself mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially. And because I wasn't clear on who I help and who I serve, YouTube didn't know who to send my videos out to. And so that created stagnation in my growth. They didn't even know that my ideas existed because I wasn't clear on who I help. So developing that magnetic messaging starts with having a who in mind, knowing who you want to help, knowing who you want to serve, knowing who you want to positively impact. You have to speak to a specific individual rather than the masses. The mistake that I've made, and the mistake that most coaches and consultants make, is that they believe that what they have is good and that it can help anyone. But when you try to help anyone, you're helping no one. And the reason why is because your message is not specific to that individual. You're not speaking to that ideal person with that specific problem, those specific issues. With the specific outcomes and desires that they want. Think about it this way. Let's say you had a wisdom tooth that was penetrating your nerves and it was creating all type of discomfort and even numbness in your mouth. Would it make sense for you to go to a general doctor? Shoot, no. It makes more sense for you to go to an oral surgeon. So it makes more sense for your messaging to target a specific type of individual. Now, how do you find out who exactly you want to help? Oftentimes, who you want to help is based off an old version of who you used to be. I help coaches and consultants attract clients by speaking clearly and confidently on camera. I used to be the person who would create excuses, who would procrastinate and waste time before I could get to the point of creating content. In fact, I wasted 827 days before I could get to the point of speaking in front of this metal, plastic, and glass. And once I finally showed up on camera, as I mentioned earlier, my messaging, it was all over the place. So I want to help those specific individuals who are who I used to be. So who is it that you were? Once you're clear on who you help, you have to be clear on their problems and their pain. To continue to use me as an example, here's the problem that these coaches and consultants have. Their ineffective communication skills are holding them back from attracting clients. And here's the pain to that. They see their competitors grow, and they know that they have a better offer than their competitors. And it's frustrating. It's frustrating to have an idea but not having the ability to explain it clearly. To have it within your head all jumbled up and all disorganized. It's frustrating to want to do something as simple as speak in front of the camera, but not having the courage to do so because of the fear of judgment. It's painful for them to hear their own voice and to recognize that they sound robotic and not natural, and they feel awkward every time that they show up and hear themselves and even see themselves. It's frustrating recording a video but getting in their heads and re-recording it and re-recording it and saying that they're gonna upload it and never uploading it. It's aggravating missing opportunities that should be theirs but going to their competitors only because they're not showing up. Or if they are showing up, they're not showing up consistently. You have to have a clear understanding of your ideal person's problem and their pain point. In order to have that magnetic messaging that attracts by you clearly knowing who they are, what they're going through. That signals to them that you understand them. Now they feel connected with you. Once you understand who they are, their problem and their pain points, then you have to understand what is it that they would like to experience? What are their dream outcomes or their goals? For myself, the coaches and consultants that I help, they want more clients. Who are attracted through their clear and confident speech. They want less effort and more margin. They want to be recognized as the go-to expert in their field, and they want more opportunities that are presented based upon them showing up every time to the ideal person who they're looking at. That's what they want. Once you have a clear understanding of that, then you can begin to attract people who would just love to come by what you have to offer. If you're ready to take control of your life and develop that confidence that you've always been waiting for, then these two videos will help with that.
