Returning home from holiday can be sad, but what's worse is bringing home unwanted guests. Here's a few things that you can do to prevent bed bugs infesting your home. The first thing I do when I get home is chuck my shoes in a bag. Then I chuck that bag in the freezer. Extreme temperatures will kill them off. It might seem like overkill, but you don't want to take any chances with these guys. The next stop has to be the laundry. Chuck all your clothes in the washing machine with some quality detergent. If you want to be really safe, wash them on the highest temperature setting. If you can't fit them all in one load, chuck them in a bag, tighten it up, ready for the next load. Finally, take a nice hot shower, wash your hair, make sure you don't have any unwanted bed bugs that have caught a ride home with you. You can do all these things and still have problems with bed bugs. If you feel like you have a bed bug infestation, it's best to call the pros.
