Here's What You Can Expect From Training Week!

Hi, my name's Shannon and I am the Operations Manager here at The Local Guys, and I'm going to tell you a little bit about how we run our trainings.

So if you are looking at joining The Local Guys, you will come to do training with us either here in Adelaide or in Auckland, and it all runs over 1 week. We've made it really nice and simple and we've separated it into 2 sections.

So the first part is our Administration and Business training, and the second part is our Infield training.

In our Admin training, what we're going to go through is how to run your day-to-day business, so all fun stuff and the admin that people forget. So on day 1, we go through a bit of the policies, the procedures, what I like to call the dos and the don'ts, and then we go into a bit of the accounting and crunch some numbers and show you how to make sure your bookkeeping is up to date.

Then on the next day, we have a little bit of fun on day 2, and we go through a bit of marketing, showing you how to get yourself out there, how to show you all the tools that you need in terms of making sure that your business is front and center and making you the expert in your local area.

We also go through a little bit of HR, and a little bit of occ health and safety to make sure that you're safe on site, which is the most important thing. Then on day 3, it is the crux of running your business. So we go through our CRM and we show you exactly how to make sure that you're quoting your customers, invoicing them, scheduling everything, what you're going to be doing day to day in the admin side of making your business run.

Then the bit that everybody loves, they go out on field with our franchise partners.

So we show you everything that you need to know about how to do the jobs that you're going to be doing.

Going out with real Franchise Partners on real jobs, you get to see exactly what you're up against.

So you'll get to interact with customers, you'll get to troubleshoot, you'll get to see live action of what you're actually doing, and we'll put you through everything that you're going to be seeing when you're out there running your business by yourself. Now, at the end of each day with your training, we do leave you with a little bit of homework just to help you go through and get things set up as we go along, and we'll make sure that everything that gets sent to you through the training is also there to back you up afterwards as well.

Now, after training, you are not by yourself.

We are only a phone call away, and our support team is here to help you if you do forget something or if you just need a bit of reassurance. We have plenty of support tools in place, and we will catch up with you as well on regular intervals to make sure that you know that you're on the right track. Our priority with training is to make sure that you feel confident that you can leave training and know that you're capable and ready to go out there and smash it. But what we want to make sure is that long-term your business is protected and that we can help you in case you want to grow that and do whatever you want with it. It's completely up to you, and— but we just love watching people come out of training and know that we can be there on that journey with them.
