Two voices compete when you try something new: the realist loser that catastrophizes, and the delusional winner that believes in you. Both exist at once, especially early on. The speaker says to listen to the winner, get help from your network, and invest in mentorship to push through.
Chapters
There's two voices in everybody's head, especially in the beginning stages when you're stepping outside of your comfort zone. The one that is the loudest is the realist loser, the voice that thinks the worst possible outcome. What if it doesn't work out for me? What if I'm not meant for this life? And then you have the other voice, which is not as loud sometimes, which is the delusional winner. Hey, this is possible for you. We're meant for more. We're capable of doing more. And you have to listen to the delusional winner voice, especially in the beginning stages where you're going to have doubt, especially if you haven't reached your goals yet. You will have doubt. And yes, I do feel lost at times. Even at the point where I'm at now, and especially early on, I've had many moments where I wanted to quit, many moments where I had a bottleneck or a problem in my business that I simply didn't know how to solve, and I had to reach out not only to my network or pay for the information to get me to the next level. So yes, I did have confidence. I had both of these. I felt lost at times. I still do sometimes, and I still had that voice that knew I was meant for more. So it's completely normal if you're feeling any of these. Nobody's special.
