don't live the same year again in 2026

Jesus Gabriel Mendez worked in his father's HVAC business and watched himself repeat the same year over and over. He argues most people set goals but never act, and real change requires massive uncomfortable action, not vision boards. Stop tolerating mediocrity or 2026 will be identical to 2025.
Chapters
Think about December 2026. You're looking back at the last 12 months. You look back at the start of the year where you set out these goals, you set out these achievements, you set out these, these new habits that you wanted to implement in your life, and you had an end goal, whatever the case may be. It might be financial, relationship-wise, friend group, environment, your family, you know, your business, whatever the case may be. Maybe a job you want to quit, and You didn't do fuck all again, right? That's, that's the reality that 99% of people live in, and that 99% of people will continue to go into this pattern over and over and over and over and over again, because a lot of different reasons, right? I can tell you from my personal experience, when I was working for my dad's HVAC company, I would always set out these goals. I would always set out, hey, I don't want to work for my dad anymore. I don't want to get told what to do for the rest of my life. I know I don't want to do blue-collar work because it's, it's, it's hard on the body. I'm capped on my income, you know. I have to, you know, be in the fucking sun, be in the attic, be in these freezers, have to talk to people that I don't want to talk to, have to take disrespect from people that, that are less than me, that are less capable. And I'm young, you know, I'm not 50 years old, I'm not 40 years old. You know, I have a choice, right? We're in this world, we're in this, you know, nation where you have all the opportunity at the tips of your fingers. And I would set out these goals knowing that was— those were the things that I wanted to avoid, but I really wouldn't do shit about it. I would maybe do one thing for a couple of days. I would try this business model for a couple months and it wouldn't work out, so I would go back to my reality and then The problem that I started to notice after a certain period of time of repeating this pattern over and over and over again is that I got more and more comfortable in the position that I was in. Now, these huge problems that I would write down on paper weren't really that huge anymore, didn't mean— didn't bother me a lot anymore. And that is the, that is the trap that a lot of people fall into. Because once you get comfortable, once you become satisfied, once you start to realize Hey, this is not that bad. And the, the, the, the other side of going through the uncomfortable motions, taking massive amounts of action, taking massive amounts of risks, and going through a hard learning process and a hard reset process of resetting who you are as a person, it doesn't seem that viable anymore because you're just too comfortable in your position. And when it got to that point where it was like, I'm okay waking up early, I'm okay, you know, doing all this work, I'm okay you know, talking to these people every single day, that's when it kind of clicked in my head. It's like the pattern is starting to set in. The reality is starting to be like, okay, like I started to be completely be okay with the reality that I was going to live for the next 50 years of my life because I knew I didn't want to go to college. I knew I didn't want to, you know, pursue any sort of degree or certification outside of blue-collar work. And, you know, the goal was just to you know, build a company and have a bunch of workers and stuff like that. But I knew deep down that wasn't what I wanted to do. I would see all these people on the internet, I would see all these people post these wholesale deals, I would see all these people go and buy properties at such a young age and make massive amounts of money in a short period of time with what it seemed like not a lot of work. And it came to a point where I literally just got so exhausted of seeing other people win that my ego literally could not allow me to continue living this reality. Now, I'm not saying that your ego has to be the thing that drives you this year, these next 12 months going into 2026, to actually change your life. That might be one of the factors. Um, for me, it was the main one, just because I guess that's just how I was raised. That's how my brain functions. That's how the neurons in my supercomputer of a head that I have, um, really click and force me to take action. But for a lot of you guys, it might be a family situation, it might be a finance situation. You want a car that you simply can't afford. You want to quit that fucking job that you have, either it be blue-collar work or you're working some shitty-ass job where you know you're not getting paid what your value is. Like, it's, it's, it's multiple different moving factors that actually push you to do what you're supposed to do. But at the end of the day, it really comes down to your level of acceptance, right? My level of acceptance got lower and lower and lower as I continued on the path of blue collar, right? So I was like, okay, I was being okay, I was being okay. Actually, higher level of acceptance now that I really think about, um, grammatically correct. Um, it was going higher and higher. I was being okay, okay, okay, until I got to a point where I was like, I'm tired of tolerating this shit. So once your level of acceptance stops going higher and your level of tolerance starts going lower, that's when you start to realize what you actually have to do to achieve your goals. Now, it's not just about making a vision board, it's not just about writing down your goals, but it's really about actualizing what has got me to this goal, right? What has got me to the place where I'm at today, where I don't have the finances, I don't have the job, I don't have the environment, I don't have the friends that want me to push to, to higher highs. Uh, my family isn't proud of me. My family doesn't think of me as a man. My family doesn't think of me as responsible. Like, all of these things, you start to be intolerable of them, which was one thing for me. And one of the, one of the really needle-moving things that, that really happened was my dad telling me, hey, as long as you're under my roof, as long as you're under my payroll, you do what the fuck I tell you to do. I don't want you talking back. I don't want you telling me what I'm doing wrong. I don't want you telling me what I'm doing right. You do what I tell you to do because you're not a man of your own. You're not responsible for your own life. You're not responsible for your own bills. You're not responsible for your own car payment. You're not responsible for your— your hand— your life is not in your hands. Who are you to tell me, a grown-ass man that feeds you and houses you, what to do? And that was also another breaking point where I was like, damn, he's right. I can't say shit about it. He's right, you know. I'm not a man of my own. I'm not responsible. I wake up late. I, I work under his payroll. If You know, like I'm fully relying on somebody else. And that's what got me to break those old habits of hanging around a bunch of bum-ass friends that smoked weed, drunk, and hung out on weekends every single day going to clubs. That stopped me from, you know, scrolling through fucking Instagram, scrolling through YouTube endlessly, watching video after video after video, thinking one video was going to click everything for me, thinking that one video was going to, you, you know, push me to actually take massive amounts of action. That, that, that one TikTok was the one that was going to give me all the information that I needed to actually be successful in whatever business realm, right? It got me out of that loop. It got me out of the loop of relationships that didn't feed my future purpose, right? Relationships that were short-term, relationships that were not serious, relationships that really hurt my own self-esteem because I knew I was worth more than being in a short-term relationship like that. And I was worth more than, you know, than causing all these negative effects on other people because of my habits, right? Then it got to a point where it's like, bro, I'm not a man. Like, I want— I have this ego that I'm a man. I have this ego that I'm responsible. I have this ego that, you know, I can take care of myself, but I really can't because of my actions. I can't, I can't do it because, because of everything that I'm doing, because of my habits, right? Your habits reflect on the results that you have. Your habits are probably the old version of me, if we're being honest, right? So you can't sit there and complain. You can't sit there and be sad about a situation that you're currently putting yourself in consistently because you're the one responsible. And, and all the changes comes down to when you become responsible and your tolerance level is literally undeniably low to where you stop accepting bullshit for yourself. You have to stop accepting the mediocrity that you fucking have in your life. If you're fucking mediocre, why do you expect to live this extravagant lifestyle? Why do you expect to drive a crazy car? Why do you expect to— for people to respect you? Why do you expect to have these crazy financial goals if you're mediocre? If you're mid, how do you expect that? You're fucking delusional, and not even in a good way. I love to talk about being delusional. I love to talk about having super big aspirations, having super big goals, but you're a piece of shit not only to yourself but all your loved ones If you have these huge goals and you look at yourself in the mirror, you lie to yourself every fucking day. You literally tell yourself you're going to do something. Maybe you told yourself you're going to start wholesale. Maybe you told yourself you were going to, you know, take all the information that you already know that you've been watching for months and months and months and do something about it, but you don't fucking do it because you don't respect yourself. How the fuck do you expect somebody else to do this for you? Nobody's going to come fucking help you. Like, once you realize that reality, that's when shit really starts moving. That's when you take full responsibility for everything you've ever done in your life and you actually do something about it, right? But until then, right, until you become super intolerable of your situation, nothing is going to happen. Nothing is going to change. And 12 months from now, you're going to be thinking, I watched that video right before 2026 and I literally lived out everything he told me not to do. And maybe even you forget this video, but you're looking at yourself in the mirror and you know you could have done more. You know you could have showed up another day. You know you could have taken another risk. You know you could have taken massive amounts of action that you didn't do because you were simply too comfortable in your fucking situation. You were okay driving the car that you were driving. You were okay in the environment of bum-ass friends that don't even fucking believe in you, don't feed your future purpose, right? You were okay with your parents knowing that they raised a fucking loser, knowing that they didn't raise a man, that they raised somebody that is okay being mediocre in life. That they raised somebody that's just going to be one of the masses. It's not going to be someone that causes change in somebody else's life, that provides no value to the world, right? My family themselves know of other family members that their parents just realized it, right? Realized it and actualized it and realized, hey, I raised a fucking bitch. Like, if that's the reality that you're completely okay with, Nothing's going to change. Why would you do it? Why would you start wholesaling? Why would you start a business? Why would you take massive amounts of action? Why would you risk your hard-earned money to buy information or to put yourself in a position where maybe this will work out? Why would you do that? It doesn't make any fucking sense. If you're living a good life, you're okay working with your dad's company, you're okay driving a shitty fucking car, you're okay clocking in, you're okay with this reality, why would you make a change? There's no reason to make a change. And that's why 99% of people are living a mediocre reality, and there's the 1% that were super fucking intolerable and decided, I don't want to live like the rest. That's why I'm going to do the things that the rest of the people don't fucking do, right? This video is not about a fucking vision board. This video is not about writing your goals this way and magically it's going to happen. This video is not about manifestation, right? In a way, I'm manifesting my energy to you. I'm manifesting success to you. I'm manifesting the a blueprint to you by giving you this video, right? But I'm not sitting here telling you, oh, sit on the couch with a fucking bag of potato chips watching Netflix and manifest your dream life. Nothing's gonna fucking change if you don't take massive amounts of action, right? If you don't decide, hey, I don't want to live this life anymore. I want 12 months to be a complete 180 of my life. I want to be a different person. I want to achieve different goals. I want to have different habits. I want to have a different environment. I want people to look at me different. If you're okay with your reality, that reality will never be okay with you. You will never be okay with moving forward. You will never be okay with taking risks. You will never be okay with, with putting yourself in an uncomfortable position. Why would you do that, right? It doesn't make any sense, right? There's a reason statistics are out there that 99% of people never complete their New Year's resolution, because they have no reason to. They have no underlying pain for it. They're okay being home, right? And I'm not talking about being home in a house, being home in an apartment, being home in a car. I'm talking about being home in the habits that have built the life that you have around you, right? My habits, my current home is different than the home that I had 6 months ago. It's different than the home that I had 6 years ago because now I'm at a different level of tolerance, right? I don't tolerate myself bullshitting. I don't tolerate myself smoking weed. I don't tolerate myself slacking off. I don't tolerate myself looking at myself in the mirror and knowing that I didn't do what I was supposed to do, right? And my why is different now. My why has changed over the years. It's not just, oh, I wanna make more money. Oh, I want a nicer watch. Oh, I want a nicer car. Oh, I'm on a nicer setup. Oh, I wanna give my parents a little bit more money, right? My why has changed from that to, hey, I have to continue to feed my family for at least the next 40 years as they live, right? I wanna give 'em a higher lifestyle, right? For me, I want more expensive shit, right? But that's the little things, but it's more about providing value for myself now. That's what I get fulfillment from. But a lot of you guys are worried about fulfillment or worried about getting joy or worried about happiness or worried about being comfortable when that's not the shit that's actually gonna move you. You know what I mean? Like your why has to change. And right now at this moment, as you're watching this video, you need to figure out what is your why. Why do you have to do this? What is going to be the reason that actually keeps you going throughout the year that says, that comes up when you want to quit. Because this shit's not easy. I didn't say that one bit, right? The probabilities of people being successful is very, very low, right? I'm not telling you this shit's going to happen overnight. I'm not telling you, you know, tomorrow you're going to close a deal. I'm not telling you, hey, you're going to make your first call and get a deal under contract. I didn't say that. That's very unlikely. That'd be me lying to you. That'd be me sitting here selling you a dream. And I don't do that bullshit. I'm straight to the point. 'Right, because that's the people that I like to talk to, so I want to talk to people just like that.' This shit is not going to be easy. This is going to be very uncomfortable. You're going to have times where you want to quit, but that's where your why comes in and you decide, 'Hey, I'm gonna keep going. I'm gonna keep taking the risk. I'm gonna keep educating myself. I'm gonna keep putting myself in a position where I have a high chance of winning.' But you will only do that once you're tired of the reality that you're living, right? I hope you guys enjoyed that video. I hope it's a wake-up call. Honestly, I hope you didn't enjoy the video. Matter of fact, fuck that, I take that back. I hope you didn't enjoy this video, and I hope this video pissed you off, and I hope this video made you realize that you're gonna have another loser-ass year in 2026 if you don't do something, if you don't take the risk, if you don't take the jump, if you don't do what you know you're supposed to do. Because we all know exactly what the fuck we're supposed to do. We all know this. Deep in your mind, you know exactly what you're supposed to do. You know exactly who you're supposed to talk to. You know exactly what are the steps to get you closer to your goals. And it's completely up to you because nobody's coming to fucking save you. I can't really say much more than that. I keep yapping about it, but I hope this video pissed you off. I hope this video made you realize that you are going to have another loser-ass year living the exact same life in the exact same situation, and you're only going to be more miserable and more mad at yourself if you don't take massive amounts of action. You don't take massive amounts of risk. You don't consistently show up every fucking day, even when it gets hard, especially when it gets hard. And you fall in love with the boring process. Nobody that's ever been successful stops doing something because it's boring. Boring is good. Boring is successful. Boring is consistent. Boring is the habits that you need to be successful at the highest level. I hope this video pissed you off. I hope you fucking do something about it. And, um, yeah, comment down below if you liked it. Like, comment, subscribe for more videos like this. We're dropping daily, we're being consistent.
