my dream penthouse as a 21 year old

In this video, Jesus Gabriel "Jay" Mendez gives an energetic, motivational tour of his 2‑bed, 2‑bath penthouse, showcasing the décor, furniture, and personal collections that reflect his aspiration‑driven lifestyle. He walks viewers through the living area, kitchen, bedroom, and especially his high‑end office where he displays a $15,000 tech and ergonomic setup—including a triple‑monitor rig, MacBook Pro, J5 Create dock, Shure microphone, Sony FX30 webcam, Herman Miller Embody chair, and Nanoleaf lighting. Throughout the tour he mentions impulse purchases from TikTok Shop, sneaker and toy collections, and a few broken or regrettable buys. Interwoven with the tour, Jay shares his personal backstory: a 7‑year career in wholesale real estate that allowed him to quit college after four days, support his immigrant parents, and achieve financial independence at 21. He explains his family’s blue‑collar roots, his decision to focus on wholesaling over trading, and his future plans to acquire more cars and produce more lifestyle content. The video ends with a call to subscribe, promises of more real‑estate tutorials, and an invitation for viewers to follow his journey.

What's going on, boys and girls? This is a different video than what I normally post. I normally only post about real estate or maybe a vlog every 3, 4 months, but I know coming up, I used to love watching closet tours, sneaker collections, apartment tours, house tours, like car videos, like really lifestyle stuff that would motivate me to get to that next level, to motivate me to keep going through those hard times. And I kind of just came back from LA and I came to my apartment. I was like, damn, this shit's like kind of fucking nice. We got a Marlboro poster. We got a Joker poster, Scarface poster, Malcolm X, and then a little motivational one over here. I have to succeed because I like expensive shit. This is a 2-bed, 2-bath apartment. It is pretty nice. We have the kitchen right here, the island. We got these two stools from IKEA, and we got these two lights. I put some LED bulbs. And then you got your boy right here. We put this mirror here just to check the fits out. We got a nice little rug, find some eyes to it. Fit check, simple black tee, gym shorts, and some white ones. Nothing too crazy. We got this little bookshelf right here with Panda up there just chilling on surveillance, 24/7 security. So if you ever try to come, that's the guy you got to deal with. Then we got some books over here. I was actually, if you guys didn't know, into trading. I started trading and wholesaling at the exact same time. I made some money with trading, lost some money, and decided I don't want to gamble with my future, so I went all in on wholesaling. And we got some motivational books, some stuff about self-development. Then we got some toy cars, some baby pictures over here, some stuff that I I actually forgot to give to my mom. I got it from California. We got the 720 that I got as a gift. Shout out to you, Garrett, thank you so much. Actually, the doors go up. That's a little annoying, but it's pretty sick. And then you got a TRX right here, which instead of getting another one, we just ended up getting the Raptor. The only trophy I ever got in my whole school career— granted, I went to college for like 4 days, so obviously I didn't get anything there— but this was the only trophy, and it was for perfect attendance my 5th grade year. Then you have some license plates and a nice little G-Lock poster. And this is the kitchen, which honestly I don't use at all. I don't open any of these drawers unless I need, like, I don't know, some little knickknack or something that's hidden in here. Like right here, I only have, like, what, health stuff, like gym stuff. That's literally all I got. We got some Bearbricks up here. We got Buzz Lightyear. You got the Joker, you got Batman, and you got a Cos figure. We got a bunch of little ones down here and some LED lights just for accent lighting. And that's the island. I used to have like an extra setup right here when I got bored out of my office, but we got over that phase. We don't need it anymore. And then we got another TikTok Shop purchase. As you can see, I'm a very impulsive buyer. I'd end up buying this. I think it was like $800, which is a little tax for a TikTok Shop couch, but it is very, very, very comfortable. Then you got a bean bag just for accents. You got some Plants. Then you got the nice Samsung Frame TV. This was probably one of my favorite purchases just because I play music on it all day. That's the only thing I use it for. I ended up getting an Xbox in my previous apartment, but I literally have not played this maybe in about 2 months. Honestly, for no reason. You got a money plant. You gotta have one of those at your place. And I got a drone that I bought, but I broke it the first time I flew it. So that was honestly not the best purchase. Now without further ado, let's get right into the office. As you walk in, if you follow me on Instagram, you kind of seen a little bit of it. You got another TikTok shop purchase that I got scammed on. I literally thought this was going to be big. I should have known from the price, but it ended up being tiny. So now I just use it as a walkway— walkway— as a welcome rug. So you walk in, this is what the office looks like. I've always prided myself in having the best setup possible. I loved watching TechSource and setup videos and Mac setups and gaming setups. I always loved watching those videos as a kid, even growing up, like I still love watching them. But this is the setup. We got a bunch of soundproof panels over here. You got a nice light box, you got some toys which we'll go over in a little bit. We got a triple monitor setup, a nice 70-inch IKEA desk that is sit and stand, which is honestly amazing when you get fatigued from sitting down for so long. You got some nice speakers from Micro Center Pro— Micro Center can take my money any day of the week. I love Micro Center. I love those smelly nerds that work there. They know their shit. I wish to one day be on their level, but they can take my money any day of the week. I should actually probably put my card on file there, how much I spend there. But triple monitor setup, we got a nice accent lighting for the nighttime. We got another key light, and everything is ran off the MacBook Pro. We got a nice dock, which is the J5 Create one. We have a Rode sound panel. Very nice. Very, very nice. Good addition to the group calls. Makes it very fun and entertaining. As our webcam, we have a Sony FX30. That's why the quality of the videos is great sometimes, because I still haven't learned how to use it. But it does what it does. And we got a nice mechanical keyboard with the Apple trackpad with the MX3, I believe it's called. And then we have a Shure mic. I think this is the MX7B or something like that. XM7B. Great mic. Honestly better than the one I had before. And that's honestly the setup. I think it's pretty optimized. I think I did the math like a couple days ago. And for the whole setup right here, everything outside of the toys up there, It's like $15,000, which is kind of crazy added up. I didn't think I spent that much. And then for the chair, honestly, one of the best investments I've made for my work life is the Herman Miller Embody chair. It is the most comfortable chair. I do not get fatigued. Then you got an Alex drawer with a bunch of stuff, and then you got a gaming headset just in case. Then you got this random rug that I also got off TikTok Shop, which is a little depressing when you actually look at it. It's a crying guy. But I don't know, I'm not depressed, so I think it looks cool. And then we turn around, and this is the backdrop that you guys know. We got a nice key light. I should actually turn that on. There we go. So we got the Modest Mendez Instagram handle at the top. We got these nice Nanoleaf panels, and then we got this nice console with some books. Also, you got some gaming mice I don't use, a cigar tray, some more mechanical keyboards. Got a Cartier, you got a Sub. My two car keys for my McLaren and my Raptor, and you got a couple chains on over here. And then that's pretty much the setup outside of the whiteboard. Then over here you got some storage, and here I go again, you got another bathroom that I only use when I'm super duper duper duper duper duper duper locked in. Um, yeah, that's pretty much the office. Then you've got the bedroom. Honestly, super, super plain. We got like an Asian type of frame— bed frame. Yeah, pretty much. And this is the closet, which was a big selling point for me. As you can see, I have a shoe problem. A bunch of hoodies, some hats, some colognes, which I'm gonna cover, which if you really wanted to see them, you could have already seen them. Then you got a bunch of shirts, mostly black shirts. That's mostly all I wear because it goes with everything, and pants. And then when we go into the bathroom, you got his and her sinks, which I'm the only one living here, so it's just his. Pretty much it. Then we go right back out to the same entrance. And yeah, that is the apartment setup, house setup. But yeah, if you guys, maybe the first time you're watching one of my videos, my name is Jay. I wholesale real estate. I've been doing it for the past 7 years. It's completely changed my life. And now I can live in a place like this, take care of my parents, not honestly have to worry about money ever again. I'm chilling. I have a successful business. I've been able to self-improve to the point where I'm my own man. I'm in charge of myself. I'm responsible for myself, which is something that's not normal for a 21-year-old that's just maybe in college, partying, drinking, all that stuff. And I'm sure you guys are going to have questions of this the first time you're watching one of my videos. Did you come from money? No, I didn't come from money. My dad worked blue-collar, my mom was babysitting and working at restaurants. They came to this country as immigrants from South America and Europe. Yeah, I went to school, I went to college for like 4 days. I decided, fuck that, I'm not wasting my time doing this. I was gonna do it just for my parents because I was already making money at that point, but it wasn't worth it. Just decided to lock back in. And yeah, no college, just barely graduated. They didn't even let me walk the stage. For a crazy reason. I might tell you guys that on another time. But yeah, you guys, first time watching me, sub to the channel. I'm gonna post more lifestyle stuff, car stuff, moving, house shopping, stuff like that. I am looking to get another car, so stay tuned. Like, comment, subscribe. If you're interested in learning about wholesale real estate, I got 50, 60 YouTube videos literally breaking everything down step by step. That's all you need to succeed. See you boys in the next video. I hope you enjoyed.
