A broke teenager got a $30,000 check at 15 and blew it. He learned that wealth requires the right mindset, not deserving it: quit drugs, sleep nine hours, focus on one business, take advice only from people already where you want to be, and move fast. Consistency and the right peers create luck.

Recording. All right, crazy intro. You want to make money, you see that I'm making money. Here's some advice for you from my experience. When I was first starting off, I was broke. I didn't come for money, so I needed to change something. I had the beliefs that it wasn't possible, that I needed to go to school, that I needed to work hard, work hard for the money that I was supposed to receive. So I needed to deserve the money. Big no-no. You don't need to deserve something to receive it. You just need to put in the right steps behind it. You need to be in the right mindset. You need to know where you're headed, and you need to eliminate— you need to eliminate every single distraction getting in the way of you getting to that goal, right? So I'll tell you a couple of things that I did. Number 1, I stopped smoking weed. 'Wow, wow, wow, all the pot smokers. No, man, weed is good for you. Weed is good for you, bro. It has medical benefits.' Shut the fuck up. You're lazy and you're broke. You don't need to smoke weed. I was smoking weed every single day. Now, I wasn't coming out of pocket for it. You can imagine why. That's why I was smoking it. But that slowed me down, number one. Had terrible memory, was high all the time, so I was always overthinking every single one of the things that I did. Am I doing this the right way? Am I not working hard enough? Am I getting in the way of myself? Should I have said that? How would I act if I was my regular sober self? These are all the things that come up, come with smoking weed. That's why I stopped doing it. So number 1, stop smoking weed or doing any drugs in general. Maybe a little Adderall here and there, you didn't hear it from me, but drugs, they won't help you. Number 2, sleep. You need to have good sleep. If you don't have good sleep, that's, that's you recharging your battery. If you're sleeping 2 hours a day, what type of quality of work do you think you're putting out into the world? Are you putting your best version of yourself for everyone to see, right? So you need sleep. Stop listening to everybody telling you, hey, you need to wake up at 4 in the morning and you need to go to sleep at 12 at night. You only need 4 hours of sleep. You need to work, work, work, work, work. We're not machines, okay? We are not machines. I wish I was, I will tell you that. I wish I was a machine, I wish I was a cyborg, but I'm not. So I need good sleep. Me personally, I need 9 hours of sleep just to function. That might just be me. I might be just being— I might just be being— I might just be being— I might just— damn, bro, I can't get that shit right. Uh, I'm gonna keep that in though. I might just be being lazy. You get what I'm trying to say, all right? I might just be being lazy. I keep repeating it. So I know that that is the amount of sleep that I need to have a good amount of work and quality work to be putting out as an output, so the input can be quality, right? What's the point of me recording 30 videos and they all suck and they all get zero views? But it would be better if I record a video once a week, but it's high quality and it's actually scripted and you can actually hear me. Shout out to that one guy that said my audio was terrible in the past two videos. I appreciate you. That's another thing. You need to receive input. That either be— you can receive input from everybody else, right? You can receive input from the janitor to the CEO, but you have to be very, very picky about who you receive information from. A janitor telling you, hey man, you got to work hard for your money. That the CEO that I work for, man, he exploits everybody. Well, that might be a little bit true, but clearly there's something putting him in the position of a janitor versus the guy that's actually the CEO. They're clearly doing two different things. So my recommendation is listen to people that are in the position you want to be in, right? I don't listen to realtors telling me to get a real job. I don't listen to sellers telling me to get a real job. Because this is what not having a real job gets me. Being in a high-rise office, having my own high-rise apartment, driving the car that I want to drive, having beautiful hair like this, right? So make sure you take advice from people you want to be like. Another thing, actually put it into action. I can sit here for 5 hours telling you every single step of my business, and you can take notes, but if you don't do anything about it, you will stay in the exact same position. And then you will look back a year from now saying, damn, I watched also all those wholesale YouTube videos, I watched all those motivational videos, and I never did anything about it. You need to take action, and you will mess up. That's another thing— you need to fuck up as fast as possible. If you don't mess up, you will never learn. From every time that I won in a specific situation, I didn't learn anything from it because I did everything right. But if I messed up, then there was something to learn from. There was a lesson to learn. So it's not a loss, it's a lesson. And the more lessons you have, the better human you become. The better human you become, the luckier you get. Because especially if you get the right amount of sleep, you're avoiding drugs, you are staying focused, you're taking advice from the right people, and you're showing up every single day— this isn't working hard, this is just the bare minimum— if you wake up every single day and do what you're supposed to do, you will get lucky. You won't miss the lucky opportunity, right? And you know how people say you only get one lucky opportunity in your lifetime? If you put yourself in specific situations where you are meant to win, you will always be lucky no matter what. You will never miss out on a lucky opportunity if you are the best version of yourself, if you're always looking for it. The same way that if I tell you, hey, look around your room right now, and look for something red, you will find something red. But if I tell you, hey, don't look, how many blue things did you see? You're not gonna fucking know because you didn't look for anything blue. But if you're always looking for a successful opportunity in your specific industry— I'm not sitting here telling you, hey man, find, find an opportunity over here and then find an opportunity over here, bro. You can make money doing everything. No, you can't. You can make money doing one thing. Everything works.. But you need to focus on one thing. That'd either be wholesaling. That'd either be actually working a 9-to-5 and climbing the corporate ladder. That'd either be reselling shoes and doing that full-time for 5 years until you're reselling and making $100,000 a month. Every single business will make you money, a lot of money. But you just need to focus on one thing. All these people tell you, hey, millionaires have 7 streams of income. Yes, once they become a millionaire. People gain the most amount of capital and find the riches doing one thing. So you need to do one thing. The next thing, making sure you know how to handle money. The first time I got my first check, which was for $30,000 at the age of 15, I blew it. I went and bought a car, right? I wasn't told from a young age that, hey, once you receive a lump sum of money, you have to disperse it. You have to put some into this account, some into this account. You have to keep your business expenses consistent, or else you will always be spending more than you're making, right? I didn't know this because nobody in my family ever made lump sums of money. So that was a lesson that I had to learn. But if I didn't lose that money, if I didn't go broke at the age of 15, which is crazy to say, I wouldn't have learned that now that I'm making more money, right? So every single loss that you take is a learning lesson where in the future You can avoid that. You might lose $5,000 right now, $10,000 right now, $15,000 right now, but because you lost that money, 10 years from now you're not gonna lose a million. You're not gonna lose— you're not gonna lose $5 million. You're not gonna lose $10 million. So every lesson you have, take it to the chin and actually change. A lot of people, when stuff gets hard, they change their goals, right? So let's say today— I'm gonna be completely honest— I didn't have the best day today. Right? In, in the grand scheme of things, it's only one day, it's only a couple hours. But like, my dialer wasn't working today the right— the way it should have been, right? I woke up late today. One of my phone screens broke. My transmission on my car still does— it hasn't gotten fixed, right? I got kicked out of the gym because I was in there too late, right? So all these things I got— I have money stuck with a payment processor that they won't give to me, right? My bank won't process a dispute that I'm supposed to get the money back. It's so— and I could sit here and complain all fucking for the whole video, but I'm not. I'm here not changing my goals because I know I'm supposed to record a YouTube video. I'm here doing it even though I didn't have the best day. So now when I go to sleep tonight, I can say, hey, at least I recorded a YouTube video. At least I did— I did do what I was supposed to do. No matter how many things I had to overcome today. So that's how you need it. That's the perspective you need to have in life. No matter how many bad things come in my plate, I need to get the things that I need to do done, right? I don't need to change my goals. Once you set your goals, you can pivot from them if you see that the goal doesn't, um, give you the result that you want in the long term. So let's say you're thinking of being a home flipper. And then the market just goes down, right? It would be smart of you to pivot that goal. But just because one flip went wrong, or you lost a little bit of money, or you did— or you just broke even on a flip— that doesn't mean you need to change your goal. That means that you need to change who you are, right? Because the goal doesn't need to change. The goal will make you successful. But the person you are right now and the steps you're taking to get to that goal is what's holding you back. Therefore, you need to change who you you are. So in the position that I'm in right now, I need to change my payment processor. I might need to change banks. I might need to have a phone case on my phone. I might need to get a more reliable car. So that's changing who I am and all the actions that I take so I don't have to deal with these issues that I dealt with today 3 years from now, right? Or I might just make more money and then get a less reliable car that I can just buy out. If the transmission goes out, I'll go buy a new one, which I could do now, but it would be stupid, right? So that's why I'm not doing it right now. So that's another thing. Don't change your goals, change who you are to get to those goals. What's another thing that will help you make some more money? Consistency, showing up every day. I already said that. Um, your friends, your network, that's very, very important. Because if you have broke friends, they will most likely mislead you in a way where you will end up just like them. I had a friend that was in our specific friend group that went and hung out with a section of the friend group that wasn't making as much money. And what happened to his income? It went down. While I came into this friend group and my income went up. So make sure your network makes more money than you. Now you don't have to be the top dog, but as long as everybody in your group makes consistent money, they all have the work ethic that you want to have, you will eventually become another one. If you're hanging around drug dealers, you will eventually become a drug dealer or a drug addict, right? So your network— focus every single day, sticking to your goals, not letting emotions take over, doing what you're supposed to do. And by doing that, you will never miss the lucky opportunity that you should get. Then making sure you take losses as lessons, make sure you're staying focused, make sure you're not doing drugs, making sure that— what's another thing? What's something else I mentioned? Fuck, I don't even remember. It's that weed smoking that I did when I was younger. But yeah, you get the gist of it. Stay focused. Take advice from people you want— take advice from people that you want to be in their position. And, uh, keep going. Don't give up. If you give up, you know the result— stay broke. But if you don't, you might get a little bit lucky and make a lot of money, just like me. That's the video.
