Take a moment to arrive here, right where you are. Close your eyes and place one or both hands gently on your heart. Notice whether your heart has been a little more closed lately. A little more guarded, a little more protected against a world that has felt unsafe, unpredictable, and painful. That closing was wise. It was your heart taking care of itself the only way it knew how. But you are safe right now, in this moment, in this breath. Nothing can harm you here. As you inhale, feel the walls around your heart soften just slightly. Not dissolving completely, just loosening enough to let a little light in, a little warmth, a little love. And as you exhale, release the guardedness you no longer need in this moment. Let your heart breathe. A closed heart keeps out pain, but it also keeps out joy, connection, and love. And you deserve all of those things, especially now. You are safe enough to feel, safe enough to love, safe enough to open just a little more than yesterday. Your open heart is your greatest strength, not your greatest vulnerability. I'm sending you so much love.
