DeepAI is a website that gives you access to a large language model that can generate images, video, music, and also edit photos and give you access to a voice chat as well. If this is your first time here, my name is Jay and this is the Everyday AI channel where we teach you how you can use AI in your daily lives. So I'm going to dive right into this and I'm going to jump right in and I'm going to say, what separates DeepAI from other chat-based large language model providers. Cool. Let's go with that and see what we get. Okay. So DeepAI's distinction is its broader creative tool focus alongside chat. It offers tools for generating and editing images, making videos, also provides APIs for developers. Other providers may offer similar features. So the differences often come down to each service's specific tools, model performance, pricing, privacy practices, and integrations. Okay. Okay, interesting stuff. And I can see we're getting some ads already. That's wild. Well, I know ChatGPT actually, uh, well, they've been rolling out ads for a while now, but it's interesting to see it here as well. Okay, I'm gonna go in for another prompt and I'm going to ask something quite specific to a, uh, to something I used to do in, let's call it, a past life. Explain to me the concept of the proximity effect in sound engineering. Do this in no more than 70 words and make sure you use a high signal and low noise form of communication. Some of you may know I used to have a modestly successful music career. I was a music producer and a sound engineer, so I just want to see what this gives us. And proximity effect is something that's very well known. This was actually one of the first prompts I put into ChatGPT a couple days after its, uh, its release, just to check if it actually knew what it was saying and to verify the outputs. Whenever I'm working with my clients, just a quick side note, it's always important to only use AI for things that are hard to do but easy to check. If you can't check it, then it's very risky using AI for that use case. And case, we're going to dive right in. So the proximity effect is the increase in bass response when a directional microphone is used very close to a sound source. Moving closer boosts low frequencies, making voices sound fuller or warmer. Moving further away reduces that boost. It's useful for shaping tone, but too much can make audio boomy or muddy. Okay, good stuff.

I think it should have also— it could have also mentioned the fact that moving away gives much more sort of slightly clearer and raspier kind of feel and, uh, and tonality to the sound. But in any case, it sort of got that, um, pretty much correct. So yeah, really, really interesting platform.
