A Zoom call from Cabo during COVID sparked an idea when someone noticed an ESPN logo reflected in a colleague's glasses. That observation about video call inefficiency led to building AI that detects sentiment and engagement in meetings. The resulting note-taking product now adds 50,000 new accounts daily.

This idea came to you when you were in Cabo. Tell me how you ended up in Cabo hanging out but still on Zoom.
Yeah, so this is, uh, peak COVID. When I was in Cabo, I was doing a lot of these calls. About 2 minutes into the call, I could realize, should I even be on this call or not? Then the moment that really drove me was there was someone's little kind of screen and their glasses were on. The colors looked similar, so I clicked on it. I could see the exact writing of the ESPN.com website on their glasses, and I was like, okay, This is a very inefficient use of time. I'm able to detect this. So can models also detect sentiment and engagement? And that's where we really started. On a daily basis, we get about 50,000 new accounts created. That's a run rate of a million plus on a monthly basis, 12 million annually. So we are the fastest growing meeting note taker in the world.
