Josiah Stewart lost $165,600 across DAOs, staking services, and low-cap coins over six months. He broke down the losses: $34,514 in DAOs, $62,800 in staking, $69,186 in rug-pulls and honeypots. He frames it as a lesson in greed and revenge-trading during a market downturn.

What is goodie, my people? We are back again with another gem listen. Obviously, if you believe that was sad, I should audition for the next biggest movie in the world because I'm a great actor. I'm actually not sad about the whole process. Y'all know I like to be extremely transparent with you guys. I'm probably the most transparent financial person on YouTube overall, and that's why you love me, because I'm real just like you, you know what I'm saying? But today I'm gonna be diving in and showing you guys every single amount of money that I've lost trading cryptocurrency. Now that can go from DAOs to nodes to coins that I aped in and they either rug pulled or the price never went up, or they just— it was a honeypot and I couldn't get my money out. So I'm gonna be extremely transparent with you guys, dive through all these different sections, show you guys how much I've lost. And, um, yeah, it should be a good time. It's actually a perfect time to do this right now, actually, considering the way Ethereum crashed 20% over the last 24 hours, so that number is probably a lot more because I did the calculations yesterday. Anyways, we're about to hop right into this, so if you're excited for this video, smash the like button, subscribe if you're not subscribed already, hit the post notification bell so the next time you're sad about losing all your money on Ethereum, you can be notified that Josiah Stewart Stewart is also sad about losing all his money, so we could be sad together. You don't have to be lonely and sad. You just got to be lonely and broke. But hit the post notification bell and let's just hop right into this. Before we hop into this, I do have to thank my sponsors for this video. You guys know Ethereum is down a lot, Bitcoin is down a lot, so I did have to get a sponsor, and that sponsor is CryptFi Academy. It's right there, literally. I know this is kind of weird, a weird video to be promoting my academy on, that the academy that's about crypto and DeFi and how you can make money in it. But trust me, if you think I've lost more money than I've made in cryptocurrency, I would be the stupidest person in the world. I don't even know why you'd be watching my videos if you believe I'm the type of person to always— to be in something that I'm still losing money in. So obviously I made a bunch more money than I've lost in cryptocurrency. So if you want to be like me, you want to learn everything I know about crypto, about trading, about DeFi, about passive income, about technical analysis, about really the psychology of it all, Cryptify Academy is for beginners, is for advanced people, it's for everybody. Look, Couple testimonials on the screen right now. See what other people are saying. There's a whole page on the website that's literally titled Testimonials. Go read what— I'm not gonna say anything about it. Just go read what other people are saying about it. It's great. I love it. You love it too. You'll love it when you get in. But Crypto Academy, go, go, go tap in. But without further ado, let's hop right into this. All right, so boom. Today we're going to be having a sad conversation. Now I know a lot of people are looking at the markets right now. It's very, very, very red in the markets. Like I was explaining before, Ethereum is down 20% in the past couple hours. Bitcoin's down heavy too. Most altcoins are down over 90% from all-time highs. It's, it's a sad day in the market. This is one of those times when a lot of people end up quitting cryptocurrency. But at the, at the same time, this is one of those times and one of those areas in life where people create generational wealth by investing strategically, investing at the right times, putting the right amount of money in certain places, that is the perfect time for this. But unfortunately, this is the time when a lot of people do end up quitting cryptocurrency because they've just lost too much money and they don't have the time or the funds to wait out the next bull cycle. But I kind of just wanted to come on here and kind of just let you know you're, you're not in this alone. I'm gonna— I'm not really gonna talk about the money that I've lost within the past like couple hours. I'm gonna talk about the money I've lost in the past roughly 6, 7, 8 months being in the whole DeFi space. Um, we're gonna talk about DAOs, we're gonna talk about how much I lost in Ape and coins, we're gonna talk about. We're gonna talk about no's, we'll talk about all the sad stuff. So let's just dig right into these juicy numbers. So the first one we're going to talk about are DAOs. Now, DAOs is a touchy subject, you know what I'm saying? I've talked about DAOs a lot on this channel, talked about Wonderland, Spartacus, Metaverse Pro, Klima, all these freaking DAOs that were— that were— they were so fun. It was— I'm not gonna lie, DAO season was one of the funnest seasons of all cryptocurrency and DeFi. Do you know why? Because there was projects popping up that were offering higher percentages APY than I even knew how to pronounce. I'm talking 17 commas percentages. I'm talking 100 billion kazillion quadrillion thousand 500 million billion quadrillion zillion APY per year. So you seeing these numbers, any person is seeing these numbers, and I'm not gonna lie, of course I fell for them because I'm seeing all these numbers. I'm like, okay, if this thing just survives for a month I'm freaking rich, you know what I'm saying? And that's how they got a lot of people. Now I'm not gonna lie to you, I did not ape into all of them. I did not ape into all the ones where I didn't know how to pronounce the percentages that they was offering. But I did get in the Wonderlands, I did get into Spartacuses, I did get into Klimas, I did get in all of these. And the reason I got in all these, I was just like, okay, if I toss $5,000 in there, $10,000 in this one, $5,000 in there, $8,000, $7,000, $12,000, you know what I'm saying? And just keep keep diversifying my portfolio in DAOs, there's no way all of them die, you know what I'm saying? That's what I'm thinking in my head. I'm like, there's no way all of them make me lose money and go to zero, because I'm like, if just one of these projects survives, I'm making all my money back plus a boat ton more, you know what I'm saying? So I'm just diversifying my portfolio. That's what you're supposed to do, keep your portfolio diverse. Never put all your eggs in one basket. That's what my mama told me. Now my mama owe me a lot of freaking money, you know what I'm saying? Because, okay, I'm gonna be honest, right? DAOs made a lot of people money. A lot of people made good money on it. The only people that lost money in DAOs are people that got greedy. I made a freaking load of freaking money in DAOs, but I got greedy. I wanted to keep it in there to let it grow more, the compounding interest. I wanted bigger, bigger, more, more. And what did that get me? Less, less, loss, loss, death, death, sadness, depression. Hatred, tears every day. No, but really, DAOs were great, you know what I'm saying? They made people money. It was not just a complete loss. The only people that lost, like I said, are people who held on a little too hard and wanted a little bit too much. But in total, for me, the amount that I've lost in these DAOs— I have it right over here. It's actually a sad number to look at and even sadder to say. My voice might start cracking soon. But the number that I've lost in DAOs between all of them, and this is after I've added all the profits that I've taken out, so this is my actual net loss on all DAOs total across the board, $34,514 that I'll never ever see again. Now, this is not, this is not like detrimental money for me. It might be for other people, or it might not be absolutely poop for somebody else. For me, it's not like, oh my God, this is the end of the world, you know what I'm saying? This is like, dang, that's another Tesla I could have bought. That's, that's a down payment on a house. That's somebody's college college tuition right there, you know what I'm saying? So it's just, it sucks that I lost that, but at the same time, it's also like, it was my own greed because I made so much on it. I should have just taken the profits and went on to other different projects. But hey, you win some, you lose some. So let's hop into the next loss. All right, so node season is here. Keep in mind, node season came right after DAO season, and that was the dangerous part. Imagine you have a girlfriend, right? You love this girl, you was with her for 10 years, ever since you guys were 7 years old, you're always dating, You know what I'm saying? Loving each other. It was great times. Then she broke your heart by sleeping with your best friend. Now you're heartbroken, sad, depressed. Rebound girl comes in. Rebound girl makes you fall in love. You love her. She's the best thing since sliced bread. She cooks for you, cleans for you, wipes your freaking butt after you poop. She does everything for you. You know what she also does for you? Sleeps with your dad, your brother, your cousin, and 17 of your best friends. Now you need help from the help. Nodes were to DAOs how that new girlfriend was to your old girlfriend. So I was looking for a rebound, right? To put this all into perspective, because that was a kind of wild analogy, but it's kind of true. Because I'm like, okay, I lost all this money with DAOs. I'm seeing all these nodes start popping up, strong nodes. I can't even say this one. Dang, I can't even say this. This is hard. Ring nodes. Ring nodes. Ring nodes. There it goes. Ring nodes. We got the fire node, the fire nest nodes. We got Thor nodes. We got all these different type of nodes, right? And I'm seeing them. I'm like, okay, they ain't offering these billion quadrillion gazillion percent APY, so they must be safer than these DAOs. They offering like 1, 2, 3% daily, which is— it's not the same as those 17-digit APYs that were being offered by these DAOs. So I'm like, okay, this is much better. I'm liking this, you know what I'm saying? This is the new girlfriend. I'm liking this new girl. She, she way better than the last one. She's safer. She make me feel better. The other girl ain't wipe my booty after I doo-doo, you know what I'm saying? But this girl does. I don't know why I keep saying that, but the nodes were doing so good. There's only one difference though, one downfall with nodes. Nodes are like assets. You buy them and you cannot take your initial investment out. If you put $10,000 into these nodes, you're not going to see that $10,000 back unless you use the profits that you earned. So imagine you bought this Xbox controller— I just picked this up off my thing— imagine you bought this Xbox controller for $10,000, but since you have it every day, you're going to get paid $100. So you have to wait for that $100 to add up to that $10,000 to initially— or to get back your initial investment in the project. So that was the downfall of nodes. They never— they, they didn't last long enough. To get your initial investment out. So I lost way more money on nodes than I did in DAOs because I was going so hard in these nodes to make back the money for DAOs. That's a huge mistake that people end up making. I make it, and advanced trade— trade— I can't even talk, I'm about to cry, but I gotta stop. But even advanced traders, they, they fall for these psychology tricks as well. It's called gambling. It's called like getting the— what do you call it— revenge trading. You know what I'm saying? It's trying to get your money back because you just lost, so you go harder in another one, which makes up— makes you end up losing even more. That's what nodes did for me. So in total, with nodes, I lost $62,800 that I'll never ever see again. Now, I did not get— I wasn't able to take my initial out on these. I was not able to take— well, on most of these. Some of these I did ROI back. But the majority of them, especially Ring nodes— I hate Ring nodes. I never want to hear the word Ring again, never in my entire freaking life. But Ring nodes made me lose a lot of money. Um, Strong nodes recently is making me lose money because I was compounding more so than I should have. I should have been claiming. And also these other nodes, the, the Katina nodes, the Thor nodes, all of them, they just, they just did me dirty. So I lost $62,000. $800 on nodes. Now we're going to talk about something that's a little bit more, uh, I kind of expected, I guess. Some people would more so expect me to lose the most of my money in this area, and that area is aping coins. Now if you don't know, right, I have a Patreon, and I know this, like I said, it's probably a bad time to promote the Patreon again, but my Patreon is basically where I go, I tell you guys every coin that I buy, every coin I sell, every coin when I'm taking profit on it. I show you guys basically everything in my life of cryptocurrency trading. It's a very valuable place to be. If you want to sign up for it, it's the link inside the description. You can go to patreon.com/juvierisgems. I've lost a lot of money aping in these low-cap coins, but keep in mind we've made way more money back. One of my trades, like, literally, if I take— and this has happened multiple times— if I take one of my trades that I've put inside the Patreon, I've made back over double the amount that I'm going to tell you guys at the end of how much I've lost total Ape in these coins. So one coin has made back all these losses. But I'll still tell you guys about the losses and how these losses came about. It's either that we bought the coin and the price never went up further from that price point or that entry point, or the developers ended up rugging the coin, therefore making it, um, we lose all of our profits. And also honeypots, which is another way of us losing all of our profits, because if a coin is honeypotted, you cannot sell the coin no matter how high it goes. So that is really the, the main ways that we did lose money in, um, Ape In Coins. Well, I'm talking about myself personally, how I lost money with Ape In Coins. But like I said, I have a whole list in my phone. I have a whole list on a notebook that has all of the different trades that I've taken. So that's— I guess it's cool to have a whole list of the amount of money that I've lost, um, because in there I, I check, like, if I, if I made profit on a coin, I usually like mark off that I made profit, or if I didn't make profit I have a skull sign next to it, but, um, I don't like seeing skull signs, but it's a lot of skull signs. But anyways, like I said, we profitable at the end of the day, and I'm gonna tell you guys exactly how many skull signs add up to, right? So from aping coins and all these low-cap coins, because keep in mind, I don't really— I'm not talking about more so like the bigger coins like Ethereum or BNB, or really like the bigger-cap coins. I'm more so talking low-cap coins, like under a million market cap, or like $500,000 market cap, or less than— really, really less than $10 million market cap. That's really what I'm talking about right now. So what I've lost in aping those low-cap coins is $69,186. So that is my biggest loss that we're going to talk about today. We talked about the DAOs, we talked about the nodes, and then we talked about the aping coins. And all together, that number comes out to $160,000. $5,600 in total losses from nodes, DAOs, and aping into low-cap coins. Now that number is sad. That number is— it's a lot of money. That's, that's a house without a down payment. That's a house. That's also a down payment on a million-dollar house. That's also a down payment on 5 Lamborghinis. I think that is a down payment on 5 Lamborghinis. I don't know, I could have bought like I could have bought a lot of stuff with that money, but instead I invested it and lost it in crypto. But you have to understand, you have to make money to lose money. Uh, make money to lose money? I don't— that did not make any sense. You have to risk money to make money. I guess it does make sense. You make money to lose money, because in that instance I did lose a lot of, a lot of money in those different things. But overall, I am net positive, so it's not like I came into crypto and I'm losing more than I'm making. That would be literally stupid. I would not do that. I hope you guys wouldn't even watch my videos if y'all figured I'd be that type of person to just lose money just 'cause I enjoy trading cryptocurrency. I don't enjoy it enough to lose $165,000. I'll tell you guys that right now if you did not know. But that is the end of the video. Hope you guys did enjoy. Hope you guys can kind of just gauge and see the different risks in this space. I feel like a lot of people don't talk about the different risks when it comes to crypto and DeFi and investing in all these different protocols. Obviously, There are upsides, obviously I've made a bunch of freaking money, but at the same time, you have to be aware that people do lose money. And especially in this time where you're looking at the charts and you see a lot of red, you see a lot of minus 20%, minus 15%, minus 10%. So you're looking at your portfolio and you're just sad and depressed. I just want you to know we're all in this together. You know what I'm saying? Like I said in the beginning of this video, this is the time in crypto where most people end up quitting cryptocurrency, which is very sad, because this is a time when most millionaires are created long-term. If you always just think long-term, 5 years from now, the prices that we're looking at will be a gamble for these different coins that we're holding, especially if they're solid coins with solid developers and solid communities. That's what you look for when you look for coins to survive the bear markets and bear cycles. But that's the end of the video. Let me know what you guys think in the comments down below. How much have you lost in the download ApeCoin section of your lives? I'm curious. Maybe you don't even know. Go back. I highly suggest you go back and like do— actually, I don't highly suggest you do that because it might make you sad, even more sad I should say. If you know, let me know in the comments down below. If you don't know, then ignore it and pretend like you never lost any money. You'll be the happiest person in the entire world, I can promise you that. But if you enjoyed the video, smash the like button, subscribe if you're not subscribed already, hit the post notification bell so you could be notified whenever these honesty videos come out, because you could have been literally like sad in your bedroom, and you would have never known that I, that I uploaded this video. You're sad because the market is down, but if you had had post notifications on, you would have saw that we in this together. You don't have to be lonely anymore, just broke, you know what I'm saying? But all jokes aside, good luck on your recouping your funds from the market. Good luck on your crypto trading, your stocks trading, your house trading. Good luck on your mama's French toast recipe that's not that good and you don't have the heart to tell her. Good luck on that whole conversation. Good luck in life as a whole, man. And I'm gonna see you on the next video.
