How I Went From Broke To A Multi Millionaire At 23 Years Old

In this first‑person YouTube video, Josiah Stewart narrates his journey from a broke teenager who needed 50 cents for a snack to a multimillion‑dollar net‑worth by age 23. He begins by describing his early fitness transformation video that went viral, which launched his YouTube career. After an initial plateau, he pivots to creating viral “Monkey app” videos, rapidly growing his subscriber base to over a million. Parallel to his YouTube grind, he becomes fascinated with trading and crypto, initially failing spectacularly (losing $60 k) but then dedicating 10‑15 hours daily to mastering chart analysis. When the 2020‑2021 crypto bull markets arrive, he turns small capital into six‑figure gains repeatedly, while day‑trading profitably. A 2022 tax bill and the crypto bear market push him into $40 k debt, prompting an intensified YouTube output to recover. By early 2023 he reaches millionaire status through combined YouTube ad revenue, trading profits, and crypto short‑selling. He launches a paid trading course in April 2023, which generates five‑ to six‑figure monthly sales via referrals. He reinvests earnings into single‑family and commercial real‑estate, achieving multimillion‑dollar net‑worth. By late 2024 he claims to earn $10‑30 k daily from crypto, stocks, and real‑estate, and urges viewers to learn day‑trading, offering a free introductory video in the description.

My life has not always been like this. Success. It's the dream we all chase, the pursuit we all strive to reach. It's easy to forget the path that brought us here, because no matter how far we've come or how high we climb, there is one undeniable truth. Every success starts Every great discovery always begins with a single step, and today I'm taking you back to where it all started. I was a very broke teenager, actually to the point where I had to ask my parents for 50 cents just to go to the corner store to get 2 honey buns. Now keep in mind, I've always been pretty decent with money. What I mean by that is I used to get money for my birthday, let's say $20, $50 for my birthday, and if I did like a job or something like that, I could pay for that. But I would always take that money and put it in like a shoe case in my closet. So I always would see that money in the closet and think, oh, that's not mine, I can't actually spend it. So if I had $250 inside that shoebox, I was still broke because I didn't have any extra money. So it all started when I was a very skinny 16-year-old, and I used to always watch these one-year transformation videos on my YouTube where basically people would document their entire process after a year of being skinny to then trying to become muscular. And I always said I wanted to do that. So when the time came for me to actually commit in making that video and actually start working out, I started documenting the entire process. I from being 112 pounds at 16 years old all the way to 165 pounds at 17 years old. And I documented the whole thing, posted it on YouTube, and it absolutely blew up. It ended up getting around 600,000 views within 2 weeks. So after that video blew up, I didn't plan on making any more YouTube videos. I never really wanted to be a fitness YouTuber, but everybody kept asking me to show them how to do it because I had such a crazy transformation and other people wanted to have that same type of transformation. So I started making videos, working out, different workout plans, that kind of stuff, and posting it on YouTube. And I got my channel up to around 10,000 subscribers before it kind of plateaued and it wasn't really growing anymore. So fast forward, after my channel had plateaued at around 10,000 followers and it wasn't really growing anymore, we ended up going on a family vacation and my cousins were using this app called the Monkey app. And basically what it is, it lets you FaceTime random people. I'm about to be 23 on Monday. Oh, so you're older than me, so that means you can be my sugar mama. What's up? And I just knew once I got home that if I started making videos on that app, my channel would blow up because 'cause I'm very good at talking to people. I've always been pretty outgoing and I'm just quick-witted so I can make funny remarks. And I knew if I could make videos on it, it would absolutely blow up. So I decided when I would get home that I would start making those videos. Keep in mind, around this same time is when my interest in trading actually started. But I'll get back to that later on inside this video. And the crazy part is that this is all literally documented 'cause I used to carry around these notepads that I would write what I read in the Bible that day and what God spoke to me that day. And I have written in there about the line of like, if I keep making those videos, that my channel would blow up. I just saw it the other day. So after I kept grinding and posting those videos out, one video actually ended up blowing up and it now has over like 3 million views. I basically had done a video where I asked girls to rate me 1 to 10 with my shirt on versus with my shirt off. On a scale from 1 to 10, on a scale from 1 to 10, just take the sweater off. 9.5. And it absolutely blew up. And every single other video I put out after that blew up as well. I was able to get my main channel over a million subscribers just making videos, honestly picking up girls, pranking people, reaction videos, just things like that. I was literally going to work. My dad owns a printing business, so I was working for him from 7 AM to around 7 PM. Keep in mind, he didn't pay me, but we'll talk about that a little bit later. Actually, I need to talk to him about that. As soon as I left there, I would go to the gym for about 2 hours. I would come home, shower, eat, and I would shoot 3 or 4 videos every single night. And during the day, while I was working for my dad, I would edit those videos. So I'd have around 2 or 3 hours during the day where I was editing those 3 to 4 videos that I was shooting every single night. I'm doing this for a very long time without seeing any results. I'm uploading on multiple channels every single day. I'm uploading on 3 channels every single day. So that means I have to have 3 videos edited, shot, and ready every single day without fail. My life was literally work, gym, shoot, edit, repeat for literally like 3 or 4 years. So rewind back to 2017 when I told you guys that my interest was piqued with trading. My dad actually bought Bitcoin extremely early, and back in 2017 there was something called a fork, which basically said any single person that owned Bitcoin, they'd also get the same amount of shares of something called Bitcoin Gold. My dad could not figure out how to do it because back in 2017 there wasn't these easy platforms like Coinbase or Binance or things like that. So it was really like going on the dark web. So he asked me to figure out how to do it so he can claim those free Bitcoin Gold coins. And like I said, it was a super long process. I was searching for a long time. I'm talking about 1 or 2 months before I could figure out how to do it. But during that process, now the YouTube algorithm was tailored to trading and crypto. So I was learning so much just about trading overall and crypto, where I ended up watching this one old white guy. I'm not going to lie, I couldn't understand a single thing he was talking about. But he was making like $300 or $400 every single day day trading, so it spiked my interest. But remember, at this time I'm grinding YouTube. I'm spending all my free time grinding YouTube, but I also wanted to learn this skill. But this old white guy was speaking freaking Chinese to me. I was just not taking it serious at all. So fast forward to 2019, I actually stumbled on this video by this one guy named Swaggy C. Now this guy looked like me, he wore a durag, he talked like me, so I could completely understand trading a lot more coming from him. He made a video just talking about charts, understanding charts and things like that, and it sparked my interest. So I started getting right back into trading. And then a few months after that video, he made a day in the life video. And I'm not gonna lie, I don't remember anything that was going on inside the video except for the fact that in the bottom left corner of the video, it was just numbers, right? And the numbers were basically counting how much money he had made that day. And by the end of the day, it was at like $16,000 or something like that. Like at 9 o'clock in the morning, it was at $1,000. 2 o'clock, was at $7,000, 5 o'clock was at whatever, but at the end it ended at like $16,000. And I'm like, dang, that's crazy. Seeing that video of him making $16,000 was absolutely mind-blowing, but I'm already making $30,000 to $60,000 every single month just from YouTube alone. I told you guys I was uploading 3 videos a day on 3 different channels and all of them were doing pretty well, but just the thought of being able to make half of my monthly salary in one single day was absolutely crazy to me. So I really had to lock in. So at the beginning of my lock in, I'm not gonna lie, I was at a very strange position because I had a lot of money from YouTube, but I sucked at trading. And this is why I tell people, learn the skill first, please, before you go and load up a bunch of money into it. Because I sucked at trading. I was demo trading for a week, I made like $100K in a demo account, and I thought I was the next Warren Buffett at this point. So I was like, okay, if I load $60,000, $100,000 inside of my account right now, I can flip this, I can freaking go buy 10 Lamborghinis. So that's what I did. I loaded $60,000 into my trading account after a week of being on a demo account, and I blew the entire $60,000 in a couple of weeks. So at this point, I was completely locked in on trading. I'd already lost $60,000, but I was determined not to let the markets keep my $60,000. So I was locked in on really learning the skill. I'm spending 10 to 12 to sometimes even 15 hours a day on the charts just trying to backtest, trying to learn, trying to perfect my strategy while still uploading every single day on all of my YouTube channels. So I was literally in probably the most intense grinding phase of my life, but reality, trading took majority of my time away from YouTube. Fast forward to 2020 and I was finally consistently not losing money in the markets. And also at this time is when the crypto bull market started kicking off. So I was able to turn $1,000 into 6 figures 2 times. Now at this time I was not yet a millionaire, but I was getting very, very close. So in 2021 is when the actual crypto bull market started, and I was absolutely killing it. I'm talking about I was able to turn $1,000 into multiple six figures another 3 times at this point. Plus, I'm absolutely killing it with day trading. I'm being consistently profitable now. Every single month I'm able to take profits out from my day trading. Life was just great at this point. With me talking about it so much on my Instagram story, posting like screenshots of profits I made and things that, people then started reaching out to me and DMing me like, hey, what are you doing? How are you doing this? How are you making money? What is this that you're doing? So I actually decided to change one of my YouTube channels into a finance channel. Channel at that time used to be my vlog channel. It had around 60,000 subscribers at that point, and I wasn't posting as consistently on it anymore because I was making so much money trading. So I was like, let's just change it to a finance channel and be that beacon of hope for other people, teach other people how to trade, same way YouTubers had done that for me in the beginning. Now let's fast forward forward to 2022 where my life completely changed. In 2022, I actually got married, which was an absolutely huge expense. And for the first time ever, I had an extremely big tax bill which I was not prepared for at all. I didn't understand how much taxes sucked until this year hit. And when I mean I wasn't prepared for it, this set me into the first time in my entire life of ever being in debt. I was around $40,000 in debt with no cash inside the bank. I liquidated basically everything I had and I still couldn't pay off $40,000 worth of debt. And at the same time in 2022 is when the bear market started, the crypto bear market started. So my entire portfolio was going down as well. I felt like I was freaking drowning at this point. I realized trading was a lot harder when you really needed the money. I never needed the money because I was always consistently making money with YouTube and crypto and things like that. But when I was going through this phase of being in debt $40,000, I was still profitable, but it was extremely stressful and it was way harder. So I knew I had to get my other streams of income back up. So I started grinding out YouTube videos again. I had my other two channels which weren't finance-based, and I used to upload two times a day on both those channels every single day just to try and make more money with YouTube because I'd slowly stopped uploading as much due to the fact that I was making so much money with all my other sources of income. So after doing all that grinding, by the end of 2022, I was actually able to get completely out of debt plus get very close to becoming a millionaire. Now fast forward to February of 2023, and I'd finally done it. I finally became a millionaire from grinding on YouTube, from being great at day trading— well, pretty great at day trading, I'm not gonna lie— and then also killing it with crypto once again, but this side on the other way. I was actually making money shorting the market which helped me out a lot. So in April of 2023, I finally decided to launch my first course. And it's honestly because a lot of people kept asking me how they could get into trading, and I'd seen a bunch of other people making a whole bunch of money from courses. So I decided to make my own, and it absolutely blew up. I'm not gonna lie, it did way better than I could have ever imagined. I'm talking about first 2-3 months, we were making multiple 5 figures, sometimes multiple six figures just me selling courses. And I realized a lot of it came because everybody that was buying the courses were seeing results and they were referring their friends and family. So I'd have a lot of people come in there and say, oh, my friend referred me because he was able to start making money trading. And that's how I was able to make so much money with the course sales. And then honestly, making all that money, I never went and bought a Lamborghini or nothing like that. It all went into an account where I just used it to purchase real estate. I ended up buying single-family residential homes in and putting Section 8 tenants inside of there. And then later on in 2023, partnered with a couple people and purchased some commercial real estate, which just ended up adding to my net worth, getting me into the multimillionaire net worth. Now fast forward to late 2024, and I'm now able to consistently make anywhere between $10,000 to $30,000 every single day. I have millions of dollars worth of crypto, real estate, stocks, just cash overall. And I'm honestly just living the life I never even dreamed possible. Now obviously day trading has played a huge part in my success, and that's why I truly say all the time that I think everyone should learn this skill. And that's why I've made it a mission to teach everybody how to do it. I've created an entire free video that'll help you guys get started, no strings attached, completely free, because like I said, I truly believe everybody should learn how to day trade. Click the link inside the description down below so that you can start your day trading journey and hopefully have the same story to tell in a couple months or a couple years.
