Learn how to add a capture status indicator to your stage display in ProPresenter. Open the Stage Editor, link a text box to "capture" set as "Current Status", then optionally add a shape that turns green when recording is active.

Okay everybody, it's another ProPresenter tip for you right now. If you use the live stream mode or capture mode in ProPresenter, you know that when you press start capture, you're going to see the indicator here. But what if you want to show it on your back screen? Well, that's simple. Just go to your stage editor, click on the box that you want, and under the text tab at the very bottom, under linked text, change that from linked text to capture. We'll make sure it's Current Status. Now when we go back to our Show tab, we can see that it's active. Now if you really want to up your game, you can change the visibility. Select that shape, go to Shape, where it says Visibility. If all the following conditions are met: if the capture session is active, then— now when we come to here, this will only show if it's active. When we stop the capture, there will be nothing on this slide. If you really want to take it up a notch, you can make this so that it shows up as green, just like on the capture status. So we're going to fill the shape with color, and we'll fill it with green. So now when we go back to the Show tab and we start our capture, we have green active, so we know that we're live streaming, or we know that we're recording. Hey, if you like that ProPresenter tip, be sure to follow for more and stay tuned because I've got a brand new ProPresenter training course coming very soon.
