Joshua Riggs shows how to set up ProPresenter's smart playlist feature to automatically sync announcements from a folder. Drop graphics into a Dropbox-linked folder and they appear in ProPresenter instantly, with the playlist updating in real time as files are added or removed.
Hey, there's one feature about ProPresenter that I don't think many churches know about, and it's such a powerful tool. Let me show you how it works. So open up your media bin. If it's not open, just press Ctrl+V on the keyboard and it will open up your media bin. You can also click that button right there. Then click the plus button and choose new smart playlist. It's going to ask you for a folder, so we're going to navigate to a folder on our computer and it's just called Sunday Announcements, and I want to link that folder. So now I'm going to press OK. And now all of the images or videos inside of that folder will automatically show up. So I actually can use this as a looping announcements for my Sunday announcements. Every time a slide is removed or added, this playlist will get updated. So if I come— if I open up that folder, if I remove this, move that slide to trash, I come back, notice the slide is gone. But if I come back and add it back in, ProPresenter will add the slide back in. So that's how smart playlists work. It's a great feature. You should definitely consider using that because you can have somebody drop in your announcement graphics from onto a Dropbox file that's linked to ProPresenter, and then you don't actually have to add those graphics into ProPresenter.
