🔥 STOP Wasting Hours on Slide Formatting! ProPresenter Reflow Editor Changes EVERYTHING

In this tutorial, Joshua Riggs demonstrates ProPresenter’s Reflow Editor, a built‑in tool that automates text overflow handling and ensures consistent slide formatting, dramatically reducing the time spent manually adjusting lyrics and slides. He walks viewers through importing a song, accessing the Reflow Editor via the edit button or shortcut (Ctrl+R/Alt+R), and customizing the editor’s view (size handle, text size, thumbnail count). Riggs then showcases a series of keyboard shortcuts (Option+Shift+Delete, Option+Return, Shift+Option+Return, Command+Z, etc.) that move text between slides, create new slides, and undo actions without copying or pasting. He highlights additional Reflow features such as disclosure buttons for adding groups, labels, actions, hotkeys, and timers. Mid‑video he promotes a free downloadable list of “12 best places for free church media.” The tutorial concludes by emphasizing the workflow speed gains (cutting preparation time in half), encouraging likes/subscribes, and previewing the next video in a 5‑part series on ProPresenter hacks.

Today I'm going to show you one of ProPresenter's most powerful time-saving features that many churches probably aren't using to its fullest potential. It's the Reflow Editor. If you've ever found yourself manually adjusting slide after slide because the text doesn't quite fit right, or spending way too much time trying to make your lyrics look professional and consistent, or copying and pasting text, then this video is going to change your workflow completely. The Reflow Editor is ProPresenter's built-in text formatting powerhouse that automatically handles overflow, maintains consistent formatting across your entire presentation, and gives you professional-looking slides in a fraction of the time. By the end of this video, you'll know exactly how to use the Reflow Editor to eliminate manual slide adjustments, how to use keyboard shortcuts to speed up your editing process, how to create consistent, professional-looking presentations every time, and you'll also save time preparing every week. I'm telling you, the Reflow Editor is about to become your new best friend. Let's dive in and I'll show you exactly how it works. I'm going to start by importing a new song, so I'm going to press Command+F for find. I'm gonna make sure song select is enabled, and I'm gonna search for Bless God. Here's the song, it's by Brandon Lake, and I'm gonna click import. Now, before we move on from this screen, I'm going to show you the first place that you can access the Reflow editor. And that's right here with this edit button. When you click the edit button here, you can actually edit the slide before you ever import the slide. And the same things I'm going to show you about Reflow work in this edit mode as well. But for now, I'm just going to go ahead and click import. You can see how this text needs some formatting. It's, it's not very clean. It looks a little rough. There's one word on this line here and some of the breaks are not consistent. And maybe you're used to right-clicking on the slide and then editing the slide, going into the edit mode. And maybe you're used to copying the text. If you wanna put this on a new slide, you can cut the text by pressing Command+X, and then you can clear that space. And then you can add a new slide or we can duplicate this slide. And then you can select all the text and then paste that other text that you copied. You can see how this would take so much time to get your text and your slides exactly right. But the Reflow editor will save you so much time. To get to it, you can click Reflow at the top, or you can press Ctrl+R or Alt+R if you're on a Windows. And this is your Reflow editor. A couple of things before I show you the fun stuff. If you click here in the middle, you can drag this handle to your liking to make the size what you want. You also can make the text bigger on the Reflow side, or you can change how many thumbnails you see with this slider down here at the bottom. I like to keep it at 2 and That is good for me. Now I'm going to take this text and format it exactly the way I want to, just using shortcuts. So I know this song pretty well. Blessed are those who run to him, who place their hope and confidence in Jesus. So I wanna see if I can put this on the same slide. So I'm gonna press Option+Shift+Delete, and that will automatically put all the text on that slide onto the previous slide. I still don't like this word Jesus on a line by itself. That's a preference thing. I want to try to keep it to two lines. So instead I'm going to press Option+Return and put that back on its own slide. Notice you don't have to add any new slides or copy any text. You can just use the shortcut keys to put the text up on the slide before, the slide after, or on a brand new slide. Hey, before we move on, I wanna tell you about a brand new resource that I'm offering. It's free. It's in the description below. It's 12 places. In fact, the 12 best places that you can find free media to use in your ProPresenter library. I've looked all over the internet and found the best places to find free church media that you can download today. So follow the link in the description, download the free resource, and start downloading the free media from these 12 places today. So the song, blessed are those who run to him, who place their hope and confidence. I'm going to break it there and just put the cursor and then press enter. In Jesus, he won't forsake them. And this is a new part of the chorus. So I'm going to add this to the next slide. So I'm going to press Option+Shift+Return, and that will add the text to the next slide. Blessed are those who seek his face, who bend their knee and fix their gaze on Jesus. They won't be shaken. I'm gonna Option Return to put that on the next slide. I can see that Jesus still is hanging out here, so I'm gonna go ahead and break that into another slide. Fix their gaze on Jesus. They won't be shaken is on a slide by itself. Come on and praise the Lord with me. Sing if you love his name. Come on and lift your voice with me. He's worthy of all our praise. That works great. Then we get to another verse. So I'm gonna go ahead and press Option+Return and add this return there with Jesus. They'll see his glory, Option+Return to add it to a new slide, which I didn't actually wanna do that. I wanna put it on the next slide. So I'm gonna press Command+Z to undo that. And then I'm gonna press Shift+Option+Return to add it to the next slide. And then Option+Return for a new slide. When I come back to the Show tab, you can see how quickly I've made edits to this song without copying any text or adding any new slides, and it's all done right from the Reflow editor. I'm going to show you one more trick in the Reflow editor that you might not be aware of. So I'm going to click the Reflow button. You'll notice these little disclosure buttons at the top. If I click these, this is the same as if I were to right-click on this slide and I get the same menu. This is helpful if you need to add the slide to a group or adjust the group. If you want to add a label, if you want to add an action, change the hotkey, add a Go to Next timer, you have all of your actions here from this disclosure. One other thing to note about the Reflow Editor: when you click on these slides, they will not be active. In order to show them to your audience, you need to go back to the Show tab, and then you can begin to click or advance. Well, there you have it. The Reflow Editor really is a game changer once you understand how to use it properly. The beauty of the Reflow Editor is that once you know how to use it, you'll never manually adjust individual slides again. I guarantee that if you implement what we've covered today, you'll cut your slide preparation time in half while actually improving the quality of your presentations. If this video has helped to streamline your ProPresenter workflow, hit that like button, subscribe to this channel, and maybe share this with a friend who might benefit from it. This is the third video in our 5-part series, 5 Hacks Every ProPresenter Volunteer Should Know. The next video, I'm going to show you how you can set up a multi-view display so you can see every single output at the same time, right in the preview window. Hey, thanks for watching, everybody. You can see all the other videos in this series right here. And if you have any questions, leave a comment. I read every one and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Let's get better together for his glory.
