If you own any amount of crypto or you're even thinking about owning crypto, you need to hear this. Somebody just lost over $3 million worth of XRP. That's $3 million gone. And you know what's wild is that he still doesn't even know how it happened. So I'm doing this video just to warn you because building wealth isn't only about multiplying money, it's also about protecting your bag. If you don't protect what you build, it doesn't matter how smart your investments are. One mistake, one click, and you are back to zero. Now, before I begin, if you want more videos like this where we talk about health, wealth, and how to protect what you're building, then make sure you hit that like button so that YouTube keeps showing you videos like this. And if you have not already, please go ahead and subscribe. Now, one of the things that I realized is that a lot of people think that hacks only happen to beginners. Nah, that's not true at all. Even people who've been in the game for years get hit, especially in crypto. And once your money's gone in crypto, it's gone. There is no customer service or any bank to call or no refund button for this. And scammers are getting smarter. They make fake websites, fake cold wallets, fake firmware updates that look real, and they'll send you an email also that looks exactly like maybe Ledger. And if you click on one link, then that's it. And so I want to talk about the common mistakes that people make. So let me tell you where most people mess up. They mess up when they go and they buy a wallet off of Amazon or eBay or some other website that's not the website of the cold wallet. And then they even may make the mistake of connecting their wallet to a random site they see on YouTube. They don't write down their seed phrase properly. And then some people even take screenshots or store it on their phone. And that's a big mistake. And the reason why is because if someone gets your phone, your photos, or your email, they basically have your entire wallet. So we've got to stop thinking that security is optional. It's a part of wealth building now. And it's exactly why I'm doing these type of updates, because so many of you have been asking how to protect your wealth while you grow it. So if this kind of information helps you, please continue to let me know in the comments. Now let me get into some safety tips for you and break this down for you real quick. There's just 5 things that you can do to protect yourself starting today. Number 1, buy your cold wallet only from the official website. Again, not Amazon, not a reseller. Go straight to the source. So if it's Ledger, go to ledger.com. If it's Tangem, go to tangem.com. Okay, whatever brand you use, because the fakes look very identical, but once you set it up, they've already got your keys. Now, number 2, Keep your seed phrase offline. Write it on paper, put it in a safe box, make 2 copies, store one in a fireproof box or safe, and then never type it into your phone or your cloud storage. Number 3, don't click links in emails or DMs. Even if it looks legit, if your wallet or exchange really needs you to update something, go directly to their site and not through a link. I cannot stress this enough. Number 4, use multiple wallets. Don't keep everything in one place. Have one for long-term holdings and then one for trading and maybe one that's just your small spending wallet. This is just an example, but have it spread out a little bit more if you can. Number 5, another strategy is instead of only holding everything yourself in a hardware wallet, you could also use a trusted custodial platform, you know, kind of like a brokerage account. Crypto. That gives you third-party protection and insurance. Just make sure you know exactly what you're keeping and that you still keep control of your decisions. Now, if you already own crypto, then take a day this week and do a quick audit. Check and see where's everything stored. Do I know where my seed phrases are? Do I have backups? And if you're using something like Tangem, make sure you activate all of your cards and have those backup cards there. If you're using Ledger, make sure your firmwares are up to date from the real site. You know, we're moving into a world where digital wealth is real wealth, but digital wealth also comes with digital risk. So if you want to build it, protect it, because wealth without security is just temporary money. All right, family, I want you to be proactive, be smart, and protect your bag.
