I want to clear up some misunderstandings as it pertains to fat burning in the body. Some people think that if I want to burn fat, for example, in my arms, then I should lift weights in my arms, or if I want to burn fat in my thighs, I should do some squats or some leg exercises. But that's not the case. Just because you're building muscle in a particular area does not mean you're going to burn fat in that particular area. Now, there's a lot of things you can do to allow the body to burn fat, including certain exercises and also eating fat-burning foods like MCT oil or avocados or wild-caught salmon. And there's a lot of foods you can eat to help the body burn fat. But again, when it comes to you building muscle in particular area, it does not mean that all of a sudden your body is going to lose fat there. Your body is intelligent. We're all made up very differently, so your body's going to choose where it's going to burn the fat first. It will eventually get around to where you desire for that fat to be burned, but just don't make the mistake of thinking because I do a bunch of crunches or if I do a bunch of squats, I'm going to start burning fat in those areas where I'm building muscle. Now continue to do your resistance training and building muscle because it helps with your metabolic rate and it will eventually help with the overall puzzle of you burning fat in your entire body.
