Most People Stay Broke, Sick, and Stuck Because of This One Lie

In this live, faith‑based motivational training, the speaker (Kamilah Stevenson) argues that the single biggest lie keeping people financially broke, unhealthy, and stagnant is the belief that they must wait for the "right time" or perfect conditions before taking action. She repeatedly emphasizes that inaction is more dangerous than failure and that movement— even imperfect and scared—creates momentum, unlocks divine favor, and triggers multiplication of resources. Biblical examples (Abraham’s obedience, the Parable of the Talents, David’s willingness to go up) are used to illustrate that God expects obedience before providing clarity or blessing. A vivid personal anecdote about a sister‑in‑law who survived a shooting by choosing to move rather than stay still underscores the life‑or‑death stakes of inaction. The speaker challenges listeners to identify one thing they are avoiding, confront the excuses, and act immediately, urging them to "do it scared." She promotes a 90‑day "Break Big Barriers" challenge (breakbigbarriers.com) as a concrete next step, and repeatedly asks viewers to subscribe to her YouTube channel and follow her on Instagram for more trainings. The talk blends motivational rhetoric, scriptural interpretation, personal storytelling, and a clear call‑to‑action aimed at prompting immediate, faith‑driven movement.

All right, all right, all right, it's time to have a conversation. Let's have a conversation, y'all. Let's have a conversation. All right, so a lot of people have been lied to. That's the truth. I'm gonna wait for you to come in for one second. People are being lied to, and, um, I'm going to tell you very early what that lie is. I don't even want you to have to wait for it. All right, I'm looking over because, um, I'm looking at my Instagram comments over here. Um, if you're on Instagram make sure that you join my YouTube page. All right, subscribe to my YouTube page because that's where I do all of my live streaming and that's where I'm going to be doing my trainings. All right, okay, okay, okay. Hey y'all, what's going on? Come on in. All right, I want to talk to you, I want to share some things, I want to let you know that you have been lied to. Concerning some things, um, and I think it's keeping you stuck. It's keeping you broke, sick, and not being able to really reach for the sky like you need to. All right, you are purposed to have complete abundance and fullness in life. And the one lie that I'm going to expose in this training and really break this down a little bit and even kind of share a little bit of how principles work according to, um, the Bible. But the one lie that is being exposed is that you need to wait until you're ready, all right? Or, or let me put it another way: the right time will come, right? The right time will come, okay? This is a lie that convinces people to wait for clarity, to wait for money, to wait for a sign, to wait to feel confident Um, but it keeps people stuck, and I want to kind of help you out with this a little bit because here's what I want you to know: breakthrough doesn't come from waiting, it comes from movement. It comes from movement. And, and let me just ask you a simple question: what is something that you're not doing that you should be doing? When you figure out the answer to that, what is something that you're not doing that you should be doing? And then tell yourself why you're not doing it. Let that excuse come up, okay? And that excuse is going to expose a lot about you. But I'm sure you're waiting for something. I'm sure whatever the excuse is, you ain't even got to tell me, you're waiting for something. For money, for time, for something external. You waiting, right? And let me just say this right now because I want you to know this: inaction is more dangerous than failure. It's more dangerous than failure. If you, if you worried about failing and all that, inaction is more dangerous. You should be more scared that you're not moving on something that you should be moving on. Breakthrough does not come to those who wait, it comes to those who move. All right, so I, I want you to realize that today, that you think staying will still protect you. The reality is staying still is often the very thing that's still in your future, and you're gonna find out why. Even in the Bible, you're gonna find out why. Okay, one of the things I learned is that most people don't fail because they didn't have enough resources. It's always an excuse though that people say, but they failed because they were waiting for the perfect time to start. That's it. Like, why, why other people are moving and shaking, you still waiting on something? Okay, I'll do it when I have more time. I'll start it when my schedule clears up. I'm waiting on the money to come together. I, I need a few things in order to, you know, move first. Let me ask you, what if the one thing you're waiting on is actually waiting on you? See, God doesn't work on your comfort schedule. He works on your obedience. By faith, Abraham obeyed and went even though he did not know where he was going. Did— do you understand that Abraham didn't even know where he was going, right? He didn't even get the instructions. He didn't get the instructions and then move. He moved, and hear me out, and then the instructions came. You gonna get some revelation today. If you're sitting around waiting for clarity, timing, and confirmation, you're going to be waiting forever because the confirmation is in the movement. And I think that's the part that you've missed. That's what you've been lied to about, all right? And listen, movement builds momentum, and momentum matters more than money because a lot of things that you're not doing is because you don't have the money. But movement matters more than momentum, okay? I want you to know that. And this is why people really get— I, you know, I've stated this so many times. People really do, uh, get upset. Hey everybody! Hey, hey, hey! People really do get upset when the— I hear it all the time. Why do the rich keep getting richer? Why, why is it, you know, um the blessed is always the ones who more blessed. Jesus actually explained this in Matthew 25 in the parable of the talents. He gave one man 5 talents, another 2, another 1. The one who multiplied what he had, even if it was small, got more. In your obedience, a little movement might give you a little revelation, might give you a few answers, but the one who buried it and played it safe you know, waiting to what? I might need this one day. God actually called him wicked, not because he didn't have enough, but because he didn't move with what he was given. To the one who has, more will be given, but to the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. And you think it's unfair, but it's not about fairness, it's about faithfulness. And some of you are not being faithful, right? God doesn't reward potential, he rewards movement. And that is why momentum matters. If you take even a small step in the right direction and then do it again and again and again, you start to build this like forward motion that heaven begins to honor. And when you overcome the inertia, the heavy resistance to just getting started, you actually activate the principle of multiplication. You can't multiply nothing. No movement, no, no, no action, no investment. How's that going to multiply? You want wealth? Move with the $100 you have. You want clarity? Move with the first step you've been given. You want to be healed? Move even when you're still hurting, right? Like, you have to have movement. But if you are still, if you sit still and you go nowhere, you lose momentum. You don't gain it, you lose it, right? You lose it. And in life, momentum is everything. And, and like, when you're, when you're day trading, it's, it's funny because Everybody's waiting on the momentum to, to like— the momentum is like the key to if this is going to work out good or not. Momentum means everything, you guys. Listen, and I can't say this enough, inaction is worse than failure, right? And I want to talk about why that is. And, and it is really because we've been taught to be afraid of failure. Failure is not the enemy, paralysis is. That's your biggest enemy— not trying, not moving, not going because of all of these excuses you have. Because listen, when you fail, you learn, you grow, you gather data, you get stronger, you get wiser, you get sharper. But when you do nothing, you stay stuck, you spiral, you self-sabotage. Faith without works is dead. A lot of people, you know, I got faith to start my business, I got faith to do this and do that. How do we know? How do we know? You ain't moved on nothing. How do we— how do you know? How you gonna convince yourself you got faith or something you didn't step out on? That doesn't make any, any sense at all. It doesn't make sense to just say you have faith about doing things that you've just never even acted on. Listen, listen, let me just, let me just share this, okay? Let me share this. Doing nothing is the most expensive decision you can make. I promise you. Let me tell you a quick story. Listen, um, I had a sister-in-law, um, she passed away, but when she was younger, um, she, she was once in a life or death situation, okay? And she had— she was with her boyfriend, I believe, at the time, and there was a hit out on, on her boyfriend, and she happened to be with him. Wrong place, wrong time. Anyway, um, the hit was successful and they shot the, the guy that she was with, and then they shot her in the head, I think like twice, once in the jaw, and, uh, I can't remember the other place, but maybe twice in the jaw or once in the head, I'm not sure. And then maybe a third one, I think she got— when she fell down, they shot her in the back. She woke up in a pool of blood, okay? Um, and I'll never forget around the time that this even happened, and she when she woke up in the pool of blood, she did not know how long she had been there, right? She didn't know if the shooter was still nearby. She, you know, she didn't even know. She just didn't know how, you know, imagine waking up in a pool of blood. It was her blood and, uh, the guy who was with her. And she's— when she woke up, it had felt like she said that she had only been asleep or out for maybe a minute or two, like, but I think she had been out a lot longer, which she finally realized. But what happened was she stayed still because she thought she just got shot and he was still there, and if she moved, he was gonna shoot her again. But then after a few minutes of just laying there, something hit her and she said, 'If I stay here, I'm going to die. If I stay here, I'm going to die.' And so because of that, she got up. Now listen, Was that risky? Because he could have been there. Absolutely, it was risky. But the greater risk was staying still. She at least had a 50-50 chance to live or die if she got up, but she had 100% chance that she would die if she did nothing. And so she eventually had to get up. She found out she had been there actually a while. He was gone. And, um, by miracle, she was able to like, I guess she was close to somebody's house and she was able to get to somebody's house to knock on the door, face all swollen because she had been shot and everything. And they called the— they didn't open up the door because that's kind of scary, somebody, you know, with blood and, you know, but they did call the police and the ambulance and, um, she made a recovery. But the point is that if she had sat there and did nothing it would have been worse than even getting up. And, you know, not that she maybe could fight the guy if he was— but it's, it's 100% chance she would have died if she didn't do anything. And yes, it was risky, and that's how it feels for some people. It feels risky, it feels scary, you know, being able to like act on something that you know you should be doing when all of the pieces of the puzzle hasn't fit yet. But this is where some of us are spiritually, mentally, financially You think movement is risky, but what you don't realize is it's the stillness that's killing your calling. It really is. And you gotta realize you got something, you have something, you have enough to, to move. Like, she was shot 2, 3 times, blood all over her face, swole up. I mean, but she had a little energy to get up and crawl and get to somebody's doorstep. And, and that's what saved her life, is the little bit of movement that, that she took a risk on, right? Let's be honest, you, you got some— whatever it is that you're not doing that you should be doing, you know, you got something. Like, you just, you're just scared, you know, and, and you playing the victim. You gotta— you know, people are often playing the victim. I don't have— I don't have— no, stop it. You're not empty, okay? You're just not moving. Listen, what is interesting is that, uh, God said, if you open your mouth, I will fill it. He didn't say, I'll fill your mouth so you can open it. He said, if you open— if you, if you, if you open, okay, that's action, then I will fill it. In Genesis, he, he said, go to the place and I will show you, not I'll show you so that you can go to the place. Right? He didn't say, I'm gonna show you first. He said, go, and then I'll show you when you get there. See, that's faith, that's obedience, and that's exactly what unlocks favor. And I know it's, it's a bit cliché, but you think you're waiting on God— God is waiting on you. He's always waiting on you, right? Movement is what he's waiting on. So it's time to reassess, realign, and understand that some of the answers and some of the strategies and they're not gonna come to you until you move, right? Right. So let me break it down, um, because this is— this hopefully this will click. So you're looking for clarity. Movement is what multiplies clarity, you know, because it's not like you're confused, you're just still, all right? Actions, actions activate answers. You don't have the answers because you don't— you're not obedient to the actions that you should be taking. What you're looking for is on the other side of obedience, and obedience opens overflow. Obedience opens overflow, right? Not you waiting to get the overflow to obey. Obedience opens the overflow, and that's why the action predates the blessing. It really does. You don't get overflow from hoarding potential. You get overflow by releasing what you've already been given. You've already been given enough. You've already been given a measure of faith. Act on it. Act on it. You have to get out of this mindset that you need more confirmation before you take a step. Everybody looking for— I gotta confirm it, I gotta speak it over, I gotta— you waiting on fat dreams, you waiting on signs from the solar system, a wonder from the winds. It's too much waiting going on. Meanwhile, everybody else who's building their life and moving forward in their potential and climbing, like, it's there. It's because they're moving, right? The moment you start moving, life will start responding. Stop waiting on whatever you're waiting on. It's ridiculous, right? Doors are gonna open, people are gonna call, your spirit is gonna wake up, resources are going to begin to align. You have no idea of what's waiting for you after inertia is dealt with. So it is time to position yourself, right? This is the season to position yourself, right? Listen, let me tell you something, uh, that's gonna change your life if you get it right. It is, it is, it's not always about working harder. Sometimes it's just about getting in the right room. That's it. Again, the scripture talks about it. Abraham had to go to a place. The miracle Hear me out. It did not happen at home. That direction did not come in the familiar. It just doesn't. It came in the place that God told him to go. And some of you, the, the right place is different for everybody, right? It's, it, it's the right culture. Maybe it's a new city. Maybe it's a new job. Maybe it's you acting on your business endeavors. Maybe you're supposed to write the group. Maybe you're supposed to, or write the book. Maybe you're supposed to get in a group. Maybe you're supposed to join a community, right? It's— there's a lot of things that it could be, but only you and God know what it is. You know the one thing that you're not doing that you should be doing, right? Because you're scared to do it. But I'm telling you, and it's, it's, it's, it's really the fear. The fear of failure is— it's a real thing, but it's, it's not the most important thing to me. The fear of never starting, never moving, like, like, that's worse. That's, that's the only real failure, is to not do anything at all. It really is. And some things— listen, I know y'all want revelation, I know y'all want the answer, I know y'all want to, you know, confirmation and all of that. I get it. But some things are just not going to be revealed until you move. It's just not. It's not. And you won't even know what direction you in until you move, right? I always say this, like, when you, when you, when you're going into a GPS, you're trying to get somewhere and you don't know where you're going, and you turn on the GPS. And when you're on your phone, right, and you put that, you put that GPS in, it's just say route. It's just say, I think at the beginning to say something like the route getting started or whatever. It says nothing else until you start driving. Nothing, right? You see it and it says nothing until you start driving, and then it'll say turn left, do this, do that, or to say, oh, make a U-turn or whatever. But you won't hear nothing until, until you get moving, right? So again, that's different for you, but only you know what you're supposed to be doing. And I want to inspire you and encourage you to do what it is God told you to do. If you are supposed to Like, you know, I talk a lot about environment and culture. If you are supposed to be a part of a community, an environment, a learning— like, there's some things you are not going— that's not going to come to you until you get in the right culture. I know that for sure. You're not going to do it on your own. You're not going to hear it on your own. You're just not. You're in a familiar place. You got to get outside your comfort zone. If it, it could be joining my, uh, group challenge. I got a group challenge. And I always invite, uh, when it's open, I invite people to come in and I look over the application and I see if they are a fit for it. And, and it's not— I don't tell people to join because I have all the answers, but because I know that when you position yourself in the right culture, it opens up the next step. I know for some people, if they are supposed to be a part of a particular culture, don't matter if it's mine or somebody else's, a new city, a new job, whatever that looks like, a coaching uh, a coaching group, um, if you're supposed to be at a conference, whatever that looks like, if you're supposed to be at a church, whatever environment, the, the next step, your next step will open up. And if you don't go there like Abraham, you will not have the answer to your next step. You just won't. You're gonna shut everything off. And that is why a lack of movement will destroy your entire life. And people have been telling you to sit still and to wait And it's a lie. You gotta move. You gotta go, right? You gotta go. You don't ask God enough. Come on now. It's like when David said, shall I go up? And he said, yeah, you should go up. And it's like, but I need another sign, and then I need a third sign, and then I need a dream, and then I need God to speak in an audible, audible voice. Like, you just, you just self-sabotaging because you don't want to act on what God told you to do. And it's disobedience. And I'm telling you, you're going to hinder your life if you don't move Do it while you're scared. Invest while you're scared. The investment has— you can't— you're not gonna build wealth if you don't invest. You're not— oh, when I get the money, I'm gonna invest. No, you invest what you have. You got something. You got something because I know you headed to Starbucks. I know you headed to buy that new pair of shoes. I know you're going to get your eyelashes done, and I know you're gonna get your nails done and your feet done. You got something. Take that money and put it somewhere where it can give you a return. Okay, now that's it. You don't need more time, you need a decision. You don't need more clarity, you need momentum. You don't need more money, you need vision, and you need obedience. And the people who move, even if it's imperfectly, are the ones who see miracles, signs, and wonders, right? All right, um, I do have a, a, an invite invite. I was looking at the, uh, I was looking at the, uh, chats. All right, I do have an invite. Um, go to the link, uh, I put it in the description below. And instead of sitting around waiting around for, for the answers to come, make the moves that you're supposed to make. Write the book if you're supposed to write it. Stop waiting, all right?
