Ripple Just Became a BANK — And XRP Holders Need to Understand This

In this live-stream, Kamilah Stevenson addresses community questions about why XRP’s price hasn’t surged despite Ripple’s recent developments. She uses a house‑building metaphor to explain that infrastructure (regulatory licenses, banking‑rail access, tokenization capabilities) is being built before price reacts. Stevenson outlines Ripple’s shift from a vendor to a regulated bank, highlighting the new banking license that gives Ripple direct settlement on legacy rails, faster and cheaper transfers, and institutional legitimacy. She discusses XRP’s evolving role as a liquidity instrument—used for collateral, yield, and settlement—rather than a speculative asset, and notes recent market milestones such as the XRP spot ETF reaching $1 billion AUM and the launch of XRP futures. Macro‑economic drivers are examined, especially Japan’s reverse carry trade, oil‑price shocks, and the upcoming Clarity Act, all of which could tighten global liquidity and increase demand for XRP’s fast, low‑friction settlement. Throughout, Stevenson intersperses community engagement (polls, Q&A) and promotes her paid membership and external educational resources, emphasizing a long‑term wealth‑building mindset over short‑term price chasing.

What's up, it's Kamilah Stevenson. Around here we talk about wealth and we gonna do it again today. I want to start off by addressing a question that I saw in the chats, uh, as I was, um, kind of scrolling through. And it's a really, uh, it's a really important, uh, question statement that was made. And let me make sure I can go back through it real quick. I just saw it when I was, uh, yeah, okay. So I want to answer this, and it's a real legitimate, you know, uh, uh, concept of, okay, why isn't the price going up if all of these things are taking place, right? That's That's, that's a normal response, and I want to address that really, really quick because that's the reasoning, um, behind even a lot of people who are becoming frustrated with XRP. And hopefully I can help you to understand it. Let me, let me just say this and then we're gonna get into it, and I'll, I'll tell you what's happening behind Ripple. And we got just a couple of updates today, okay? Let me explain it this way. Um, and TZ said pure manipulation. And yeah, I mean, there's a, there's a couple of different things that has been happening, but here's, here's what I want you to understand, right? Let's get this staking, yield, and borrowing going on. I love that. Years ago, the best way I can explain this is years ago I built a house from the ground up, right? I had some houses that are already built and I have some that were built from the ground up. I appreciate, um, your generosity. Thank you so much. And, um, so I built this house, and when you build a house from scratch, the very first thing that goes in is not the faucets, it's not the sinks, it's not the water running, okay? The first thing that comes is the foundation. All right, and then the framing, and then the plumbing gets laid behind the walls, behind the walls, okay? So that you can't even see them, right? And then the pipes start to get connected and the valves get installed and the pressure systems start getting tested. And then the key part about this is there are moments early on where you can walk into that house, you can turn on the faucet and nothing comes out, right? These are the beginning stages of infrastructure, but that doesn't mean that the plumbing is not there, and it doesn't mean that the system does not exist yet. It just means the pressure hasn't been turned on yet. What's up, Kimberly? And I want you to know that price works the exact same way. Price is the last thing to move, not the first. Infrastructure gets built and then the connections get laid behind the scenes, okay, where you can't really even see them unless you're looking for it, okay. And you got regulatory, uh, permissions, they start to get aligned. You got liquidity pathways, they start to get tested. And then when the pressure finally comes on, it doesn't trickle forever, it flows. And sometimes you might in the beginning get a little drip, sometimes you might get that low pressure, and then suddenly the system is totally live. I want you to know that what you're watching right now with Ripple is plumbing. It's not the faucet yet. And if you only judge a system by whether water is completely coming out today, you're going to miss the fact that the entire house is already wired for it. That's the best way I can answer that question. And I want you to drop in the chat right now, do you own silver? Put a 1 in the chat if you do and a 2 in the chat if you do not. I'm curious, do you own silver? All right, is the house worth its appraisal value even if the water is not on? Absolutely, because right now we are not talking about price, y'all. If you guys are still waiting on price— one, I see some ones in the house— if you guys are waiting on price, you're missing the whole point. It's not about the price. I don't care if the price dropped to negative 500. Even though that's impossible. I am getting in position. It's not about price, it's about position, okay? That is going to be the difference, y'all. You got to understand what is really happening. There is— there's some things being laid, and if you don't get in position now, you can wind up, you know, being outpriced as time go on, right? Been an AG. I see some of you guys Got silver, no silver, but I want to own, but I do own gold ETF. Yeah, I, so I have silver and gold, but I own more silver than I do gold. Um, but, um, I don't think people are too late even though it has hit all-time highs. I think we're going to see silver go up crazy, all right, in the days ahead. All right, thank you so much, I appreciate that. Now listen, so I want to get right into it because I do want to talk about a little bit about what's going on with Ripple. And, uh, what it means. But listen, uh, hit that like button, by the way. Hit that like button and subscribe if you haven't already. Um, everything I say is for educational purposes only. I am not your financial, financial advisor. I'm not telling you what to buy, hold, or sell. Again, this is for educational purposes only. All right, started buying at 35 cents. I love that, man. That's awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome. I have seen my, my, my silver and gold just go tremendous this year. All right, so we are talking about not price. I'm telling you guys, the dip is worth buying, in my opinion. That's what I would do. I'm not telling you what to do. I'm not your financial advisor. If you don't think XRP is going anywhere, then, um, hey, you're, you're right and all the institutions are wrong. Okay, and so, hey Gabriel, I love that you made it as well. And so, uh, you know, we're talking about a position. Okay, so I just want to give you a quick update um, and, and tell you and talk about what matters, okay? And the price right now, it doesn't matter unless you're swinging, okay? Unless you're swing trading, right? That, that— and you're trying to make some quick money, and I get it, that's fine too, all right? But those who understand XRP, who are trying to hold long, there's a lot of reasons why you should own XRP and why you should hold XRP. Okay, and so, um, first of all, Christmas is coming up. Please don't overspend. Please don't drain your cash, um, if you can. Okay, because I'm telling you, um, rates are shifting, uh, global liquidity is fragile. Liquidity matters right now, so you need some liquidity. Okay, at the same time, there's a— there is a window, but it's not a forever window, y'all. Okay, where people can It's time to position intelligently. I like this. Buy, hold, simple. Okay, it's a real simple concept, you guys, and it's so easy to understand this if you are thinking not in minutes but, you know, in years, honestly. All right, now the key thing I want to really help you to understand tonight is that, um, there are some turning points that are happening, and I want— you know, sometimes it can take a while Um, for things to be laid up— my, my, my, uh, electricity is acting really weird. I hope it doesn't cut off because earlier I actually was about to go on live and, and everything just cut off, right? So I got blinking lights right now, right? So, so excuse the lighting and the blinking. I don't know what's going on with my, uh, with my system, right? I'm ready to actually turn this light off because it's It's literally doing some crazy stuff right now. Uh, yeah, I think I am going to turn it off, so give me one minute. Let me see if I can— let me see if I can handle this real quick. I gotta actually go underneath this. Uh, let's see if I can— okay, it's, it's, it's all— it's, it's actually— it's, it's okay now, I guess. We'll see what happens, right? I'm gonna try to get through this, but, um, I want to focus on some things that are, um, changing in such a tremendous way. Okay, now so let me slow this down so you can understand. Coden is laughing at me. I was, I was about to go live and my, my electricity just went out like a couple of hours ago. It just went out. Um, and so yeah, it was, it's the system. Something happened in our neighborhood and they got it back on. So, so we're hopefully I get through this. All right, but I do want to slow it down because I want to explain to you what's important right now. So when I say Ripple is becoming a bank, okay, Um, this— I'm not saying this for marketing or anything. There really is a structural change that I want you to understand. For years, Ripple has been operating around the financial system and partnering with all kind of banks, integrating with institutions. Um, they've been providing technology, um, that plugs into, uh, legacy rails is the best way I can explain it. And a banking license start to change that relationship entirely. You say I rebuke it. That's right. And so what this means is that, and I need you to understand this so you can understand what you're plugging into, it means that Ripple is no longer just a vendor to banks. It becomes part of the regulated banking layer itself. Okay, they've been moving tremendous with these relationships, by the way. And so in very simple terms, because I need you to get this, it means a few things. Number one, direct access to banking rails. What's up, Jira Boy? Right, so that means that Ripple doesn't need intermediaries, okay, to move money. It can settle, uh, clear, and route liquidity directly from the system, and that's much faster, is scalable, it's cheaper, okay? And so, right, 500 is better than 400, right? And the second thing I want you to know is that Yeah, oh yeah, they— I mean, they're gonna be on the XRPL. I mean, this thing is, is, is gonna go so deep, you, you guys haven't even figured it out. Like, there are so many things that have not even been tokenized yet. I mean, we talking the, uh, stocks and real estate. Everything is going to be tokenized, y'all. Do you understand the tremendous impact of being able to trade assets 24/7 to move, you know what I mean, between smart contracts and tokenization for everything. Okay, like, this thing is like— you got to understand more than just, oh, why the price didn't go to $2.50 yet, you know what I mean? I say buy the dip. Nothing I say is financial advice. But second, regulatory legitimacy is a— is, is The second thing I want to talk about with Ripple becoming a bank, okay, banks don't get to operate on speculation. This is not about speculation at this point. They operate on compliance. A banking license signaled to institutions that Ripple is not a workaround, it is an approved participant, okay? Small business can tokenize. Like, we got you guys There are some people who don't even understand how many, uh, they don't even think that cryptocurrency can get to trillions, um, and $50 trillion. They don't see it. But you know, you got to understand, you know, that the world is evolving and it's transitioning and it's shifting. The financial system is shifting. It's almost like people who, who, uh, was riding by boat and, and they could— they can't see how all of a sudden you would ride by a plane, you know what I mean? It's just People are lacking vision, okay? And honestly, most people who are complaining about it are just people who are bitter about the fact that either they didn't get in early enough or they've been burned by it, okay? And I just say get over it and do your due diligence, do your research, and know what you're talking about. But I'm telling you, all of the people that's trolling XRP, they're going to be crying in a few years, okay? Now, uh, the third thing is also institutional scale. And I do believe we are still early, like the infrastructure is still being laid. But man, when Clarity Act and when they get— they got derivatives— when we, when we get down to the nitty-gritty of this, I'm telling you guys, it's so much, it's so much happening, right? And so you got institutional scale as well, and retail, you know, you got retailers, they're thinking transitional and trend— they're thinking transactional, that's what I want to say. And institutions are thinking in flows, right? A bank doesn't process thousands of payments, it processes— we're talking millions and billions and trillions over time. And you got Ripple positioning itself here in this infrastructure, and it— and for them it's about volume. It's not about price spikes right now, it's about volume, okay? If Ripple can operate at a banking level, XRP becomes a liquidity instrument, not a trade. And that's what I'm saying, like, people are thinking trade. It's a liquidity instrument. Do you understand what you can do with a liquidity instrument? It's more than just trading, right? It's collateral, it's yield, you know what I mean? Like, it's lending, okay? That's a different category. XRP stops being viewed as this buy, you know, buy it and hope it goes up, okay? We're beyond that, okay? We have to Anybody who understands what's being laid is treating it as something you use to move value. This is not something that we're buying and hoping to go up. It's something that we're treating as something you use to move value. Value. Okay. And that's why it's not about today's price. You know what I mean? And you got to layer it with this. XRP, remember, just became the fastest crypto spot ETF to reach $1 billion in assets under management. Since Ethereum. Okay, now that tells you something important. What it tells you is there is a pent-up demand for regulated exposure to XRP. And it's, and it's not about, oh, this is exciting, this is a hype coin, you know. No, institutions are finally allowed to participate. Okay, so right, this is, you know, retailers are all into this. And then you got, um, spot futures, uh, futures, uh, launched, uh, December 15th. Futures markets are, again, is this is not hype thing, right? This is not, oh, let's get excited. Retail always want to get excited, y'all. Y'all got to be educated. They exist— future markets exist for hedging, liquidity management, and risk control, okay? So they don't— institutions don't use futures to gamble. People do. They use them to operate, okay? So when you put that together, you got Ripple moving into, uh, the banking layer. You got ETF demands opening the door of, uh, to regulated capital. Then you got futures enabling liquidity and risk management, and y'all watching the price story. I don't know what else to tell y'all. I don't know what else to say, right? I'm watching infrastructure come online and people are like, where's the price going up? Okay. And then yes, also Clarity Act will matter. Okay. So when it passes, it will likely unlock even more capital and broader participation. We ain't even got there yet, right? So, but of course Ripple, Ripple ain't waiting on Clarity Act to start building. I think this been— this has been positioning for years, arguably decades. I think that there's been a positioning. I, I think this was planned decades ago. I'm gonna be honest, you know what I mean? Like, you ain't got to agree with me, but I do. And I think XRP holders who know to hold— okay, hold on for dear life, y'all— they understand what we're actually going to use this for in the coming days. It ain't, it ain't about, oh, we gonna get some, a little bit of money. This ain't even about money. Money is about to be— dollars is about to be canceled. You guys are still thinking traditional, traditional system, traditional financing. Like, and then also, let me, let me say this, hit that like button if you haven't already. Uh, Monday I'm gonna go in with my membership actually, and I'm gonna give them my personal game plan where, where I hold my, uh, my crypto, what I plan on doing, my exit strategies, my long-term strategies, all of that. So If you haven't joined the membership, make sure you do. It's only $3.99 a month. It supports the channel, and that's just my way of giving back. But I'm going to go into some details with them then. Um, and then, okay, the last thing I really want to talk about, or a couple of things I want to talk about, uh, remember we're still, we're still watching for the reverse carry trade. Japan is still, uh, the pressure point. Okay, so Gabrielle said y'all better join. Yeah, I'm gonna go over it. I'm gonna be going over some, some really amazing stuff in my membership. I'm really going to give you guys as much value as I really can, and I'm here to do the same thing. Again, that's just my way of saying thank you. And so we go into a little bit more detail, do some Q&A. But remember, with Japan, interest rates are still continuing to rise, and, uh, their longer-dated bonds are at levels that they— we haven't seen in over 15 years. Um, and, and this is important because for decades, global investors, remember, they borrowed cheap money from Japan and they used it to buy assets around the world, like the stocks, the bonds, the crypto, okay? That's the carry trade. And when Japan started to raise, uh, their rates, the trade became pretty much unstable, okay? So when it unwinds, it forces selling everywhere in the system, okay? So I'm, I'm not saying that this is going to all unwind at once. I'm saying that there are conditions for stress, um, and those, those stress conditions are still there, and oil is a huge trigger. So continue to watch the oil because Japan imports almost all of their oil, and when oil spikes, it's going to hit their economy immediately. And lately, uh, some of the things we've seen is, uh, U.S. forces, uh, force seizing sanctioned oil tankers off of Venezuela. We saw— we're seeing that. We're seeing ongoing, uh, geopolitical tensions. We're seeing that. Uh, and we're, we're seeing supply disruptions that, that once again ain't showing up in technical analysis. Okay, and I love— I think you should, um, uh, have— I think you should, uh, develop the skill of technical analysis. But some of these macro events, these are not connected to— these are macro events, these are not connected to the chart. Okay, um, so we are watching, uh, for that. And oil shocks are one of the fastest ways to pressure currencies and liquidity. Okay, so if the oil jumps, then things can reverse very quickly. Let's rock and roll, uh, W Dune. Let's rock and roll. Um, banks are shifting towards XRP because it offers a way to tap on-chain liquidity without reshaping the existing risk frameworks. Yes indeed. Um, I see, I see, I see some of you all get it. Welcome aboard, welcome aboard, uh, Gray Bear. What What's up? All right, um, so we are looking again. I'm not, I'm not giving any predictions or anything on this. I'm just— what I'm giving is risk awareness. Okay, so this matters for XRP and, you know, XRP holders because when liquidity tightens, the system that moves money starts to slowly break down. And that's where XRP could become more relevant, uh, because of the fast settlement, the low friction, the neutral bridge asset, right? Or, and it's not tied to one country's debt. So again, not about the price chatter or anything like that, but it's about where liquidity flows. Um, liquidity will flow when the system is stressed through XRP, okay? So, and macro events, they don't always give you a warning in the time. It's like, think about— I like to help you guys understand and just think in, in terms that you can understand. Think about the weather systems, okay? So you know how analysts, they, they warn you, they start seeing the pressure building long before the storm hits, and they, they'll say something like, hey, here's what's coming, here's what, right? And, and you get a little bit of time, but you don't see it in the current weather trend currently, but they see the pressure being built on the back end. That's kind of what we're seeing, right? And so, yeah, and here come the trolls. Yeah, that— yeah, right. And so, you know, um, but that's, that's the same way, right? And so, and but then when the storm hits, right, it hits all at once, okay? It hits all at once. And then, so to me, the biggest mistake that people make is assuming that they, they're going to always have plenty of warning. Now again, this is not what's going to— I'm not saying what's going to happen or what's not. I'm just allowing you to understand that there are events that could take place. It could be in a couple of weeks, it could be in a couple of months, it could be in 6 months. I'm— I don't have the timing, but if these things unwind and there needs to be a solution, a quick solution to Japan's reverse carry trade, then XRP would seem like a logical pick. Okay, and I don't know what will play out. Aside from that, the Clarity Act is going to bring regulation, and the Clarity Act is going to cause again a scale of institutional adoption. And so, and we already, y'all, we already losing a lot, uh, on the dark pools, on the OTCs, the ETFs, like the supply and demand, there will be a supply shock. So we got all of these things happening at once, okay. And, um, my thought is I am always long-term. I've been waiting for years. Ain't nothing changed today. I know what the future is. I know what the system is going to look like in the future, okay? I don't have the time span, but I know that if you can get the utility coins, okay, I'll say that, then you should know that there is a future that's going to eventually um, need these, these, uh, these utility coins. Okay, that's the, that's the most simple way I can say it, right? Somebody said XRP. And then we have— you haven't even taken into consideration if when XRP replaced SWIFT, even at a small percent, even at 13%, we are over a trillion dollars. Like, there are so many things that are at play, okay? And you just got to have the macro events, and you got to understand and just be educated. Now, if you don't have your own conviction, hey, that's— buy what you convicted about, all right? I am explaining to you what I'm convicted about, all right? I'm not giving you financial advice. There's a lot of people that's like, XRP is not going anywhere. Don't buy it then. Me and the rest of the world and all the institutions and adoptions and Ripple becoming a bank and, you know, elevating XRP, we all wrong, okay? Let us be wrong. Okay, what's up, uh, May Babe— Maze Baby. Um, so hit that like button, by the way. So again, I'm just sharing with you some of the things at play, um, some of the macro events that I'm following. And, um, I know that this thing is about to be bonanza, okay? And I also know that they're gonna be— I don't, I don't understand how people— so in my mind, I know there's some people who are like, I don't understand how they think that 'You know, XRP is going to these prices.' I, you know what I mean? Look at— I really believe they're looking at price point right now. I think price point moves people's convictions. And if you just step away from that and you look at what's happening behind the scenes, I think your convictions can get a little challenged. But at least educate yourself and see what's happening behind the scenes, okay? Under the rug, okay? And, um, that's, that's, that's where my conviction is. So again, I don't care about no, no, uh, the chart and the Fibonacci. I don't care if the thing go to negative 50 million, I'm buying, okay? I am buying. Thank you so much. She said I look like— I know exactly who you talking about, and by the way, Bow Wow. I grew up listening to him, by the way. All right, thank you. I appreciate your, uh, generosity, by the way. All right, um, and so, uh, tokenomics is the key. And again, I'm looking at those things. I'm not here to give you crazy outlandish, uh, price points or anything. Actually, I'm not planning for any of that, you know what I mean? I'm not planning for any of that. Why? Because truth be told, y'all, XRP is not supposed to be sold. Now that's another conversation to have. You can do what you want. It, it wasn't meant for retail. For, for, for, you know, trading and stuff. It wasn't meant for that. It was meant to move fast money, okay? I mean, 24/7, a few seconds. Do you understand? We, we coming out of the dinosaur age, okay? And, um, but truth be told, it's for institutions and banks. It's not for retail, okay? It's not for— it wasn't meant to be for retail at its full use, okay? At its full use, it wasn't meant for retail. It was meant for institutions and banks. So truth be told, it's not something that's supposed to be traded, okay? Now you can, because you can trade assets and make money, especially if you're good with technical analysis. So ain't nothing against that, but I'm saying the actual, uh, the fullness of what it was meant to be and to do and, and the purpose of it, you're not supposed to technically sell it. Why? Well, we'll talk about that a different day, okay? We'll talk about that a different day. But I think anybody who sells all their XRP, um, just for money is missing the point. You selling it for money? You selling it for dollars? You selling it for your currency? Then you don't understand XRP. That's all I'm saying. You don't understand it, right? There is no such thing as a crazy and outlandish price when it comes to XRP, and that is a true statement. You know why? Because the institutions are the ones that's gonna price it, and it's got to be at a high value to, to move money on an institutional level. It wasn't meant to move $5, it was meant to move billions and trillions of dollars. So it has to have a high value price, it has to be a high value asset, right? And so again, if you're looking to trade it for currency and you're not understanding how you need to hold it for value then you don't, you don't quite understand it yet. And I'll continue to help to educate as best as I can. Listen, I don't know everything. I learn and I study and I research just like everybody else. I just— I'm a researcher at my heart, okay? All the way down to, to the depths of my heart, I'm a researcher. And so as I get the information, I'll give it to you. And I do have a way of breaking things down in a way that even someone who don't quite understand the blockchain and cryptocurrency and things like that can kind of understand. And you may not understand it the first time, you might understand it the second or the third or the fourth or the fifth or the sixth time, but I'm gonna keep explaining it because I think that everybody should have the opportunity to be blessed, you know, to be able to hold, um, something of such value. Okay, so, uh, with that being said, say it's not meant to work until it's like— yeah, it's got to be valued, um, and they will put that value on there. So how do you say— how do you cap it? You can't cap it. Because you ain't the one that's gonna give it the price. I ain't the one that's gonna give it the price. The charts is going to be restricted to retail, like, transactions. It's not meant for that. Once it get at its— to its full capacity, then the charts won't be able to contain it. Let me just say that, okay? So, uh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm looking at some of the con— So I'm going on Paul Barron's show. All right, um, uh, let me see, let me see, let me put this. Only if you can't do math, it only needs a high token count, not price. Why you not research the 200 to 300 million token inflation per month? What are you trying to— are you saying that you— are you saying that it doesn't need the price? It Are you saying that the— I want to simplify this. Are you saying that the— that it's not going to meet the price? Is that what you're saying? It only needs a high token count, not a price? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. High token count, not price. Okay, my, my thought— the thing is, if you're moving— so here's my response to that, because I, I'm trying to make sure that I understand what you're saying. The price has to be high because you can't First of all, there's only— this is not like money. It can't just continue to be printed, okay? There's a certain amount of this, you know, of coins, all right? And so if you have— if you're trying to move billions or trillions of dollars, you can't have billions and trillions. You can't be moving billions and trillions of XRP. They got to be moved in like drops, you know what I'm saying? So you got to have the price high enough to be able to have those high levels of transaction because again, it's meant for banks. They don't move $100, $1,000. They're moving large amounts of money internationally, you know what I mean? And so you have to have a high-value asset in order to do that the proper way. Okay, so, uh, yeah, uh, I hope I explained that right, but I'm not even sure what the, uh, what if the comment was for or against the point. Okay. All right, uh, over time there won't be enough. Yeah, yeah, it's not printed like money. Okay, talk to him nice, right, right. And, and here's— yeah, this is it. You can't move trillions of dollars with a $2 XRP. You can't. Well, how many tokens you gonna have to do that? Like, you don't have to move a ton of them, and that's not gonna happen, right? So, uh, thank you so much, Chris. All right. I'll be back on, like I said, on, you know, matter of fact, stop for a minute if you're on here live. We got almost 1,000 people here. I'm hoping to get to 1,000 real soon live. Hit that like button for me. And I want to say this, listen, if you actually want to learn how the markets move, how cycles work, stocks, crypto investments, technical analysis, how to read them, how to think long term, I highly recommend you investing in Stock Up University.
