In this YouTube presentation Kamilah Stevenson explains why the extreme short‑interest imbalance in XRP (approximately 9 shorts for every 1 long) can act as a catalyst for a powerful short‑squeeze. She first quantifies the market bias, noting roughly $227 million of short‑side leveraged positions versus $24 million on the long side and a negative funding rate that forces shorts to pay to hold their bets. Stevenson then breaks down the mechanics of short selling: borrowing, selling, and the obligatory buy‑back, which becomes a forced purchase when prices rise. She describes how leveraged losses trigger exchange‑enforced liquidations, creating a cascade of buying pressure that can rapidly drive the price upward—a classic short‑squeeze amplified by the 9‑to‑1 crowd. Stevenson cautions that a squeeze is not guaranteed, but she urges long‑term holders to view the crowd‑short scenario as potential upside rather than a sign of impending doom. She highlights on‑chain signals that suggest accumulation despite the bearish sentiment: large amounts of XRP moving off exchanges and record‑high numbers of holding wallets, indicating conviction among strong‑hand investors. The video also covers practical considerations for holders, recommending tax‑advantaged storage (holding XRP inside a Roth IRA via iTrust US Capital) to avoid taxable gains and benefit from a $100 funding bonus. Finally, Stevenson promotes her paid services—the Wealth Architects Inner Circle cohort and one‑on‑one clarity calls—offering deeper portfolio structuring and personalized wealth plans. Throughout, she emphasizes education, encourages audience interaction, and repeatedly states the content is not financial advice.

Right now, the crowd is betting against XRP at a level that is almost hard to believe. For every one person that is betting that it goes up, there are roughly about 9 people that are betting it goes down. Most people look at that and feel the fear of it, like the whole market knows something that they don't. But I want to show you why professionals look at the same number and see the opposite. Because a crowd this lopsided is not just a bet, it is fuel. And today I'm going to teach you the exact mechanism that turns a one-sided crowd like this into one of the most violent upside moves in all of markets so that you can understand what you're looking at instead of just feeling afraid of it. Now, I'm Kamilah Stevenson, and around here we talk wealth. Go ahead and like the video, subscribe if you have not already, and no, this is not financial advice. It is only being shared for educational purposes. So always do your own research., and I want you to drop in the comments. When you see almost everyone betting against an asset, does it make you more nervous or does it make you more curious? I want you to be honest. I want to see how you are feeling. Now let's talk about the setup. Over the last month, the bets against XRP have stacked up to roughly 9 times the bets for it. In the leverage market where traders borrow to make bigger bets, there are around $227 million position for XRP to fall against only about $24 million position for it to rise. On top of that, the funding rate, meaning the measurement of which side is paying to hold its position, is negative, meaning the people betting against XRP are actually paying for the privilege. So the crowd is piled onto one side of the boat. Now let me show you why this is very dangerous for them. Now, to understand it, you have to understand what a short actually is, and I'm gonna keep it simple. So when someone bets a price will fall, they borrow the asset, they sell it now at today's price and plan to buy it back later at a lower price, then return what they borrowed and pocket the difference. That is a short. But here is the catch, and that is the whole key that I want you to understand right now. To close that bet, they have to buy the asset back. Back. That is not optional. They sold something they borrowed, so eventually they must buy it back to return it. So their exit is a purchase. So every single person betting against XRP right now is a forced future buyer. Now watch what happens when the price rises instead of falls. Everyone who shorted it is now losing. And in the leverage market, you cannot sit in a losing position forever because the exchange requires enough money backing your bet. Now, once your losses hit a certain point, the exchange forcibly buys the asset back to close your position for you. That forced buying is called liquidation. And here's the chain reaction: that forced buying pushes the price up, the higher price triggers the next group of shorts to get liquidated, which forces more buying, which pushes the price higher, which triggers the next group. Each wave lights the fuse on the next, so that cascade is called a short squeeze. And when the crowd is as lopsided as 9 to 1, the fuel is enormous because there are so many forced buyers stacked up waiting to be triggered. That is why professionals do not see 9 to 1 the way the crowd does. The crowd sees overwhelming negativity and feels afraid. The professionals see a massive pile of forced future buyers sitting in one place and they only ask one question and that is what happens if the price starts to move up? Because if it does, all that one-sided betting flips from pressure pushing the price down onto a rocket fuel shoving it up. The thing that looks like weakness starts to become the source of a violent move higher. Now let me be very honest because this is where people get reckless. I'm not telling you XRP is about to squeeze. I'm not promising a move and I'm not giving you a price target because nobody can tell you when or if a setup like this triggers. The crowd could be right in the short term. A setup is not a guarantee. A cold spring can release in either direction. Listen, if it goes down, I'm just buying. What I'm trying to show you is how to read what's in front of you so that when you see a headline screaming that everyone is shorting XRP, you do not panic, especially if you're a long-term holder, and you do not assume that the market knows something. Okay, you recognize a crowded one-sided bet for what it is, and I'm showing you the mechanisms, not predicting the outcome. Hey, fellow investors, Kamilah Stevenson here. Quick heads up for all you smart investors watching this. If you're serious about investing and growing a digital asset portfolio that brings you financial freedom, and you like how I've been breaking down crypto, but you want more than just free content, I'm putting together something really special. For the first time ever, on June 13th, I'm opening the Wealth Architects Inner Circle, where I'll be working with just 15 investors on a much deeper level. This is for investors who want structure, a deep understanding of crypto beyond what I share on YouTube, and a personalized wealth plan built specifically for you, not just more random information. So if that sounds like you, click the first link in the description to join the Inner Circle waitlist now. Spots will be limited once enrollment opens, and the waitlist members get first priority. So be sure to check the first link in the description and put your name on it. And here's the parts underneath, um, that you have to understand too. While the price has fallen and the shorts have piled up, a large amount of XRP has quietly moved off the exchanges. And I mean quietly, because this is the part that nobody is looking at. And the number of wallets holding it has climbed to record levels. Coins leaving exchanges usually means people are pulling them into long-term storage, not preparing to sell. Rising holders while the price falls is accumulation. This is accumulation zone for those who have convictions. Everybody else will be wiped out eventually. People are quietly buying and holding while everyone else is panicking. The surface says everybody hates XRP, and the foundation says coins are moving into stronger hands. And I love it that way because when you wipe out all the fear, you have the purity of what's left. So you have those who are shorting it because they believe it's going down, or maybe they don't believe in it like a long-term holder. And then you have the long-term holders that are the strong hands, and they understand, I'm just holding on and dollar-cost averaging. Those two stories are pointing in opposite directions, and the crowd never looks at the second one. So think about who actually gets destroyed in a squeeze. It is the leverage gamblers, the ones who borrowed to bet against the asset and got forced to buy back at a loss. You do not want to play that game at all. I'm telling you the truth. You can simply just hold with a clear head and let a setup resolve however it's going to resolve. But if you're going to hold for a move like this, the one thing you can completely control is where you hold it. Because the leveraged trader is not the only one who can lose to forces outside of their control. If you hold your XRP in a regular taxable account and it finally makes a move, the tax system takes a real piece of your gain at the moment that you sell. So that means you sat through all the fear, the discipline, and a chunk of the reward still gets pulled away, not by the market but by the structure you chose from the start. And that is why I take some of my assets like XRP and I hold it inside of a Roth IRA through iTrust us capital. The gamblers lose their position to liquidation. I refuse to lose mine to an account type that I could have chose differently. So inside that structure, the growth stays mine, and there is a $100 funding bonus when you fund the account. The link is in the description. The reward is that you choose a structure that will benefit you in the future. Now, if you do want more hands-on guidance on like what you should actually move in what order before a setup like this resolves and what structure you should put around it. That is what my one-on-one clarity calls are for. You bring in your situation, your holdings, your goals, and we build you a clear plan around it. The link for that is in the description. Go ahead and drop for me, let me know, are you swing trading XRP? Are you looking to sell and then buy back lower? Or are you just in it for the long run? Are you just holding XRP? Let me know where you are and what you're thinking. I do read the comments and I just love, to see how you guys are handling this market. Now go ahead and like the video and subscribe if you have not already. And for my long-term holders of XRP, just continue to accumulate and continue to grow and learn and understand what this market is providing. And what it is providing is an opportunity. And as always, I want you to stay wise, stay wealthy, and I'll see you in the next video.
