Why the Sickest Nation Spends the Most on Food (and Still Gets It Wrong)

Kamilah Stevenson explains why Americans spend more on food and healthcare than any nation yet have the highest rates of chronic disease and obesity. Red Dye 3, potassium bromate, titanium dioxide, and artificial growth hormones banned elsewhere remain legal in the U.S. because regulators require proof of danger rather than proof of safety. She recommends reading labels, choosing minimally processed foods, and using apps like Yuka and Fooducate to identify cleaner options.

All right, hello, hello. All right, I want to, I want to speak to you about what we need to do, um, with our food choices, of course. One second. All right, there we go. All right, um, I want to— I want to speak to you about ingredients, ingredients, ingredients. Listen up, you need to know what ingredients to look out for. A lot of people are getting sick and it's intentional. Honestly, I'm gonna be honest, it's intentional. Everybody don't want you well. Everybody do not want you well because their pockets will starve if you get healthy. Um, and so thank God for all the educators out there that's trying to help, uh, people to eat healthier, live healthier, be healthier, uh, walk in purpose, fulfillment, dream big, and do what God called you to do. Because I'm telling you all, it is pretty rough out here, especially if you are ignorant of what you should be eating and what you shouldn't. And a lot of people are getting fooled by marketing tactics, and I want to help you out with that. And I want you to— I want you to know what, what, um, what ingredients that you absolutely need to avoid if, if you do not want to wind up with chronic disease. Okay, let me raise this up a little bit. All right, um, so what's up? What's going on, everybody? I see you, I see you. Hey Stanley. All right, Tim, the fire is you. Greetings, greetings, greetings. What's going on? Hey Kimberly, I see you. Good evening. All right, all right, I want to run through something that is very good for you, um, right now. First of all, if you are not a part of my YouTube page, make sure you subscribe. Especially if you're over on Instagram, make sure you subscribe because I'm doing all of my live trainings on YouTube, okay? And also make sure to check out the links below. We still, um, are going moving forward. We actually just had a coaching session and Q&A earlier today in our health and wealth group and community, so the link is in the description. If you want to learn information about that, make sure you visit the description below. All right, um, I want to talk to you a little bit about— say, somebody say, I'm having issues right now. All right, I appreciate these lives. Thank you so much. Uh, thank you, I see you. Um, and, and I'm here to, to serve. Honestly, I'm going to— I'm going to help you to know what to look for. Forget the marketing, y'all. I know when something say organic or something says, you know, dairy-free, gluten-free, you know, all of the marketing tactics that people are trying to persuade you with. What a lot of food industries know is that you're not going to look on the back of the package to find out exactly what you're eating. And that's a problem. And America has a problem right now with the type of food we eat. I'm going to run through a couple of things that I need you to look out for. And this is really serious. I'm telling you, if you want to live healthy, if you want to stay healthy, if you want to reverse chronic disease, you have to start reading ingredients. Forget the package, forget what's on the front of it, forget whether it's say organic or not. Don't get me wrong, organic is good, okay? I prefer organic. However, ingredients matter, period. And it's some ingredients that you should just put it back on the shelf. If you see, you turn it around, you look at the ingredients, and you put it back on the shelf. I could care less what the, um, what the front says, the marketing and stuff. I could care less. I'm looking to see what ingredients is in my food, all right? And there's a lot of problems that we're having, and I'm going to tell you exactly why America is so sick. We have the sickest people in the world, and I mean that. Um, we, we— and I'm going to give you, um, I'm going to look up a— there's a place that I love to order from that has amazing honey buns, cookies, pastries, bread, bagels. If you're a bread person, if you're a pastry person, I got, I got the right thing for you. And no, I am not in any type of connection with this company. I just want to add value, and I want you to eat clean food. And if you are going to eat, you know, bread, bagels, pastries, cookies, Honey Buns, um, every once in a while— you don't have to do that every day— but if you are going to eat that type of way or buy it for your kids, um, then you need clean products. And I got a place for you that has clean products, no seed oils, uh, they are really legit, amazing, um amazing brand. Um, so I'm going to give that to you, and I want to find the exact link in a minute. Um, so stay on because I want you to have that because it's amazing. I order from there all the time, muffins and stuff like that. My kids love it, and I just love eating clean. Uh, if I am going to eat a cookie or a pastry, although I don't eat a lot of it, I want it to be clean when I do eat it. Okay, all right. Um, so here we go. Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. We are the— we're one of the sickest nations who spend the most money on food, and we still get it wrong. Okay, we spend more food than any country in the entire world. Did y'all know that? Did y'all know that we spend more money on food? Um, we spend more on food than any country in the world, and yet we are the sickest people around the earth. We are the sickest, right? So I kind of want to break down a little bit of why that is. And, um, and help you to watch out for toxic ingredients and what some of those toxic ingredients are. We do have some of the leadership right now, um, and this is not political. I, I could care less what, what party, uh, someone wants to advocate for. When we're talking health, we're strictly talking health, y'all, okay? And when someone's sick, they don't see blue, red, and all this other stuff, all right? We need to get healthy, period. And I do know right now there is an initiative. I don't know everything that this guy is doing, but I do know there is an initiative to try to get some of these toxins out of our food. Um, so I, I want to kind of talk a little bit about, um, why that's important. Um, and obviously, you know, it is just because people are getting sicker and sicker, and we don't, we don't need to keep eating food that's going to kill us. That's insane. It's insane. We're sick. We're overweight, like something is wrong and it's not all your fault. I'm just gonna— there's times where I hold people totally accountable for their decisions for their health, but I promise you all a large majority of this is not your fault. It's really not. It is— there are people, there are scientists that get paid to put addictive ingredients in our foods. So now you just got to be educated and I'm just trying to educate you so you don't become addicted and you don't overeat the wrong things. There are people who get paid. It is not a coincidence that when you go to the front of the line to cash out, that you see all the candy bars and, and the most unhealthy processed foods right by the cash register. Am I lying? What's by the cash register when you're trying to check out? They like, before you leave out of this store, we need you to grab one more processed food to make you sick. Okay, there is nothing healthy by the cashier's line. Like, you, you're not gonna find Whole Foods up there. Okay, you're not gonna find bananas up there and fruit. You're gonna find Snickers and all of this processed junk right back, because we want you to psychologically— we want just one more time for you to get some processed foods. Okay, so y'all have to understand that it's all a big setup, and if you don't get educated, you're gonna be like the rest of, um, the majority of people. Now, I do know there's some odd reasons why people get sick, and people do pop up with cancer And some of it is environmental, you know, where they work at their job, toxins and all of this stuff that we don't always know. But, you know, outside of that, there are some things that we can do to really minimize the, the risk of us. Um, amazing how it's all becoming more invisible to me. Or are you mean invisible, like you're learning kind of like what this is all about? All right, so, um, here's, here's what's, uh, here's what most Americans don't know. The ingredients that are banned in other countries like Europe, Japan, and other places in the world, they are still allowed in our food right now. In your pantry, in your kids' lunchboxes, and all of that, there are certain foods that are allowed that are not allowed in other countries, y'all. And I want to be clear, this is not some conspiracy theory. It's regulation, it's policy, it's public record. Go look it up. The U.S. has approved more than 10,000 chemicals for use in food packaging and manufacturing, right? But a lot of those— a lot which other countries have banned, or I would say severely restricted. Okay, here's some stats I want you to, to understand so, so you can have context to this, right? The U.S. spends more on healthcare than any other country in the world. More on healthcare than any other country in the world, y'all. I'm— listen, I'm telling you the truth. Y'all gotta, y'all gotta understand this. We are yet ranked number 1 in chronic disease and number 1 in obesity. Now, something ain't mathing right. Some, something ain't, something ain't adding up, y'all. We pay the most in healthcare, but we are the sickest. We have the most chronic disease and the most obesity. Over half of U.S. adults live with at least one chronic disease. 1 in every 3 kids, children today, is expected to develop diabetes, right? Hey from Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, what's going on, right? And autoimmune diseases are rising across all age groups, especially in women. So something is broken. Something is so broken it ain't even funny. We need to stop acting like it's not just that bad, or it's, you know, like, this isn't— this is more than just poor discipline, y'all. This is more than poor discipline. That's why this is one of the times I'm going to somewhat take the responsibility off of you in a sense and say like, you've been bamboozled, we've been bamboozled. How do we get healthy when they're putting stuff in our food that we don't even know is making us sick? They know it is, but we don't even know it is, right? And so the only way around this is really education. Doctors are not going to fix this. Doctors are not going to educate you. They don't want you to know this stuff. Okay, so you have to be educated if you want to get well, if you want to lose weight, if you want to reverse chronic disease. Most of this stuff can be done naturally, y'all. It does not take— unless you get to an extreme case, okay, don't, don't get me wrong. If you get to an extreme case of a chronic condition, yes, you do need intervention, but a lot of this stuff can be reversed naturally if you just take the right steps appropriate, okay. Uh, you didn't know about the rise in autoimmune disease? Yes, and some people are walking around with autoimmune diseases, don't even know. Some of your joint issues that are constant, some of the, the, the skin problems that you may have, some of the, uh, the, the gut issues and the, and just your, your exposures to, um, certain like viruses and stuff, all of a sudden some people don't know that they have autoimmune disease, but they do. Some of your hair problems are coming from autoimmune diseases. Um, so just be, be mindful of that. I'm not saying it's, it's always, you know, there's a lot of cases outside of that, but I'm just saying a lot of people are diagnosed with autoimmune diseases, but then some people don't even know they have it, but they're having problems and they don't know why they having problems. And sometimes when you go to the doctor, it takes them a little while to figure out, oh, you got an autoimmune disease, because it's like, no, this keep happening, or something's going on, and they'll test and they can't really find anything. And then finally, like you know, 6 months later they'll find out, okay, you, you, we actually, you know, you got autoimmune disease. Okay, so, um, yes. So someone said, it's my prayer that the Lord strengthens me to live healthy and to eat to live versus live to eat. Absolutely. And, um, you don't have to pray to the Lord to strengthen you because it's already in his word that he wants you to be well. And he said you determine life or death. So all he wants you to do is do what you're supposed to do, which is to steward over your temple, to steward over your body. He's told us to manage over our bodies, and he's given us like the, the leaves of the trees for the healing of nations, and he's given us certain things that, that we can utilize to, to get well. So, um, I mean, it's, it's— I'm not saying it's bad to pray that, but I'm just saying it is the Lord's will that you, that you be strengthened and that you be healthy and well, because it's already in the scripture. So if you're going to pray, I think you should— your prayer should be, you know, expose me to the type of education and the type of disciplines and the type of habits that it takes to, you know, follow through with, with what God has already spoken to us concerning our health, right? So, um, but I love that you're— you— I mean, I love the prayer. Nothing against the prayer at all. I love it. I love when people are praying for strength and for God to really intervene and help you to live long. Um, it takes God in all of this, absolutely. But I do want you to know that, um, he, he wants you to be well. That's all. I just want to encourage you and tell you he does want you to be here well. Um, so you don't have to worry about that at all. All right, um, let me, let me talk, let me talk to you about, um, let me talk to you about some of the ingredients that's in the food, right? That all would be me— hormones, fatigue, iron levels, etc. Yeah, autoimmune, but of meds over a year and a half. Okay, yeah, so some people are saying that I have autoimmune disease and they're taking meds, right? And there's some ways to, um, you know, they say technically that you can't reverse an autoimmune disease, but we know that autoimmune diseases can go into huge remission and to never show itself again. We know that to be true. So let's just empower ourselves. And that's why I'm here because I really care. I really, really care. I really care to let you all know what is damaging you and what steps you need to take to overcome some of these issues. So let's talk about specifics. There are a few of the ingredients that are either banned in other places heavily, um, and heavily restricted in other countries, but they're still sold here in our food. So make sure, number one, when you look at your ingredients, of course, the least amount of ingredients— the less ingredients, the better, in a sense, because you just kind of know it's not a bunch of stuff in there. Now, it's okay if it's a lot of ingredients in whatever food item you're looking at, as long as it's real food, okay? As long as it's real food. Like, sometimes you have ingredients that have you know, onions or just different herbs, garlic powder, and just stuff like that, that's okay. But we got to make sure that we're eating real food and not a bunch of processed foods. And just make sure it's real food. Even if you're eating snacks like potato chips, look on the back of it. Look at what ingredients are in it. Is it potatoes, salt, and, um— I hope I'm not frozen over here— is it potatoes, salt, and, uh, and avocado oil or olive oil? You gotta know what is in your food and if it's real food. Certain potato chips are horrible, but then some are better than others, right? All right, um, I hope I'm— I'm looking at Instagram and I might be stuck, so hopefully that, that irons out in a little bit. All right, so, uh, let's talk specifics again. Number 1, one of the, um, items, Red Dye 3. Red Dye 3 that is in, um, our foods that is banned in Europe and other countries for— and, and Red Dye 3 is linked to cancer, okay, to cancer. Um, I apologize, I don't know if Instagram can see me or not. I apologize, but I am on the replay, so I have to keep moving, right? So Red Dye 3, um, and it's still used in U.S. candies, baked goods, and listen up, it's used in children's medicine. It's used in children's medicine. The second thing, um, and I got a list of them, a couple of them Um, potassium bromate is used to improve, uh, bread texture and is linked to kidney and thyroid cancer in animal studies. Okay, so, uh, this is not good. Uh, it's banned in the EU, uh, it's banned in UK and Canada, but it's sold still here in, in the US. Brominated, uh, vegetable oil, BVO, right, is found in some of the citrus-flavored sodas and sports drinks. And it's linked to thyroid disruption, um, and neurological damage. I can't see any of the chats right now currently on Instagram, so hopefully I get to see it in a little bit. Uh, let me see if I can pull it up on another— give me one second, y'all. I just wanna— because I know some people may have— I'm sorry if I can't see it. I, I was trying to pull up the, the chats again because I know some of you all ask questions. I don't know if it's my Wi-Fi. Um, anyway, uh, titanium dioxide is used as a whitening agent in candy and gum and is banned in the EU. Um, and it causes— it's known to cause DNA damage, but still it's in American candies, right? Um, artificial growth hormones given to dairy, uh, cows to increase milk production, right? So, um, but that's also served here in the U.S., but it's banned in Europe and Canada and Japan— and Japan, I said Japan— Japan, but it's still allowed here, right? And it's linked to cancer risk, and it's also linked to hormone disruption, okay? And then another one that y'all all know is high fructose corn syrup, right? It's not outright banned, but it's significantly limited in other countries. Y'all know, y'all see that everywhere here. Okay, you're gonna see it everywhere here. It's in everything, and it's heavily subsidized and found in nearly every processed food in the U.S. It is found in everything. And this, my family, is linked to fatty liver disease, obesity, and insulin resistance. And we cannot keep taking this stuff, y'all. We just can't. There's some other— there was another list, uh, I, pulled up. Um, also other hidden ingredients, I actually wrote them down here. I'm gonna just read them off real quick. Artificial flavors. Um, so, uh, natural flavors. Now natural flavors, a lot of people, oh, it's natural and it sounds clean, but it's really a loophole term, uh, for additives that can still be highly processed and synthetic. As a matter of fact, you can take one real natural ingredient, like let's say, let's say vanilla bean, and then you can add a bunch of chemicals to that and still call it natural flavors. So they slick, they real slick. So, but natural flavors ain't always natural flavors, okay? Carrageenan, I talk about this a lot, is found in healthy, um, quote unquote not healthy, but quote unquote healthy, um, dairy alternatives, and it's linked to gut inflammation Um, MSG is still used in processed foods, fast foods, and it triggers headaches or neurological symptoms in sensitive individuals. MSG is really bad. It throws your brain off. It throws your brain chemicals off. Um, I know that for sure. Uh, sucralose, uh, aspartame, artificial sweeteners, sodium nitrite, um, and nitrate, potassium bromate, um, food dyes, Red 40, Yellow 5, Blue 1, all of it, all of it. Caramel coloring, all of that stuff is in your food, and it does not need to be. Listen, if you can't— if you don't cook with this stuff, get rid of it, right? If you're not cooking with it, then just get rid of it. Because let's say, let's say if you're cooking in your kitchen, are you gonna put artificial flavors in your food? Where you gonna get that from? Are you gonna put carrageenan? Are you gonna go look for carrageenan to put in your food? Are you gonna go look for, um, uh, food dye Red 40? Are you looking for that? Are you gonna go buy high fructose corn syrup and put it in your stuff? Like, these are not ingredients that we would ever cook with. And I say the best thing you can do is just start cooking real food, okay? Now, um, the reason why other countries are healthier is because other countries— listen to this, this is deep, this is deep— listen to how we are, listen to how backwards we are, y'all. The reason why other countries are healthier is because other countries follow what you call a precautionary principle. It's called a precautionary principle. That, that means— listen up, listen— it means that if a chemical might be harmful, it is banned until proven safe. Now listen, we do the exact opposite. Let me tell you what we do in the U.S. It is actually the harmful chemical or toxin or poison is allowed unless it is proven deadly. And even then, there's a debate. And that's why even to this day, even though there are some people trying to thwart this, there's a lot of people who just don't like the leadership and they just want to get in the way of, uh, of the leadership, um, making, making things healthy, you know what I'm saying? Like, or the person who's responsible for the leadership. So, and you have RFK Jr. right now trying— and again, I, I could care less about what, what's what. I don't know everything on the agenda. Maybe some things are good, some things are bad. I'm not here to dispute or to argue or to support or anything. What I do know is this junk need to be out of our food. So if you trying to get this junk out of our food, amen and amen. That's all I know, because it's killing people, and I ain't got time to debate no politics when you got ingredients that's in the food that's killing people? I don't have time for it. This stuff should not be in our food. If it's not in these other countries, why are we dumb enough to think that it's okay to be in our food when we're spending the most on healthcare and we're watching people get sick every day from this stuff? Why is high fructose corn syrup still allowed in our food? Why don't we take on the precautionary principle where if a chemical might be harmful, let it be banned until it's proven safe. Why not do that? We got enough real food that can be eaten. Why do we have to put this junk in our food? Why do we have to keep the toxins there until we prove that it's deadly? Okay, what we got to do to prove it's deadly? We see people dying every day. We see people with chronic disease. We see ADHD increasing. We see autoimmune disease increasing. We see high blood pressure increasing. We see heart attack increasing. We see cancer increasing. We see joint problems increasing. We see chronic fatigue increasing. I don't understand what else needs to be said. Something is wrong and we need to start analyzing it. And so that's why I said this is not about, um, politics or anything like that, but I do want that stuff out my food. I don't care who gonna do it. I don't care if Boogeyman come from the dead and decide that he want to lead and get the poison out of our food. I don't care who do it, just somebody do it. I don't care all the arguing, all the debate, all the, oh, you doing this and no, get this stuff out of our food so that we can live, so our children won't die before they 30 years old because they wind up with a heart attack because they eating so much processed food and junk, right? Again, this is not about, uh, conspiracy. It's about profit over people, and I'm sick of it. Profit over people is not gonna keep us well and thriving, okay? And if you don't know how to protect yourself, you're going to be the one paying the price with your health and with your children's health. So we got to learn how to protect ourselves, and it's just this simple. One, start reading labels, period. Read labels. If it ain't food, if you can't pronounce it, if you start stuttering trying to figure it out, if the word is longer than 12 syllables, uh, uh, syllables, um, something's wrong with it. Y'all know them long words we can barely pronounce, okay? I can't pronounce them, okay? And if I can't pronounce it, I don't want it in my system, okay? So, and that's not to say, you know, I, I love ashwagandha. Ashwagandha is pretty, a pretty long word, but it's a, it's an anti-inflammatory herb that I like. But I'm just saying, y'all know what I'm saying? Y'all look over and y'all reading this stuff and y'all like, what is this again? Like, what is this? Like, if you can't read it, you probably don't know what it is and it's probably not good for you. Just that simple, right? Um, so start reading labels. Focus on simple, real food, period. Organic when possible. Avoid dyes, avoid preservatives, and again, avoid anything you can't pronounce. If you can't pronounce it, it's not good, okay? And then use tools. There's some tools. Um, I wish, I wish I could see the chats because I would love for somebody to— I, there are some apps out there, some— if you, if you're watching this video, um, and you're listening to the replay right now, if you, if there's an app that you use that you really like, um, that helps you with healthy ingredients and stuff, put it in the comments for me. I, I would like you to share that, you know, for this community. Um, I know that there's, uh, Fooducate, and then, uh, there's a, a, a website called Toxinless .com, T-O-X-I-N-L-E-S-S.com. I think, uh, those are some resources that you can look into to kind of find healthy ingredients and stuff. But if you got one, if there's an app, uh, that you use, let me know. I think there's one called Yuka. Um, yeah, if there's an app you use or that you know about, please, uh, put it in the comments. Let us know. Um, if you are— okay, let me see. I, I do see some more, um, I do. I was looking at the comments. I did see a few more comments in there. Uh, Yuka app, Yuka app. Okay, cool. Yeah, I'm not getting all my— for whatever reasons, reasons, whatever reason, I am not getting all of my comments in real time. So I'm, I'm a little backed up, but I now see them coming through. All right, somebody said Dr. X Ancient Nutrition. Absolutely. I love Dr. Axe. He's, uh, um, he's amazing. He's, you know, trying to educate and help people out, um, with their health in amazing ways. Like, and he has some, um, he has some products too. Ancient Nutrition. He has, he has a really good collagen, actually. He has a really good collagen product. I love it. Um, I was, uh, diagnosed. I don't diagnose, and I don't eat anymore. You Sorry, Curtis, you don't eat anymore? D— DL Artist, you don't eat anymore what? Not, not food, I'm assuming, but there's something you don't eat anymore of. Yeah, so, um, so we can use these tools. Again, put it in the comments if you, uh, if you know of an app that can be, uh, very helpful with this community. And then also avoid products with artificial dyes and sweeteners, okay? Especially in your kids' snacks and cereals and drinks and vitamins and all of that. And then support, uh, just like, um She— someone just mentioned Dr. Axe. Support brands that care. Ancient Nutrition, um, and Dr. Axe, he does a lot of studies. Um, Dr. Mercola does a lot of studies, and he has some supplements and stuff. I don't know if he has any food and stuff. Um, but there are a lot of people out there who actually do care and support their brands, who educate, who are health conscious, um, or cautious. And then I'm thinking of something, uh, at the tip of— oh, Thrive Market. Thrive Market is a really, really good, uh, subscription that you can have to order food and groceries because what they do is they do the heavy lifting where they look through the products that they, uh, give out as products and they make sure that they're clean products. So Thrive Market, you can look into that. Um, I think it's a small subscription every month, but it's worth it because they will not generally allow you to get groceries that are really, really harmful and toxic. So that's exactly what they do. They try to serve you really clean groceries, okay? So Thrive Market is a very, very good source, okay? Um, and then like I said, I'm gonna give you— I'm gonna give you in just one minute the link, and I'm gonna put the link in the description for Healthy Pastries, okay? So I want to be clear, um, the system is not built to protect your health. I want to be clear on that, okay? The system is not built to protect your health. It's built to sell convenience, addiction, and long shelf lives. That's it. And that's why we are the sickest developed nation on the earth. Not good at all. So utilize some of these resources. Like I said, Thrive Market, local farms. I love local farms. Um, stick to the outer aisles in the grocery store. Go to the outer aisles, not the inner aisles, okay? Because the inner aisles is where you start getting all the processed junk, okay? Now, some stuff in the— you know, like you get pickles and condiments and stuff like that, and even olive oil and all of that, that's in the inner aisles. But you know what I mean, you know what I mean? Most of the junk and the snacks and all of that that you're going to eat is in the inner aisle, okay? So around the store, around the grocery store, if you spend most of your time there and get most of your stuff there, then you're gonna probably have a healthier shopping cart. Okay, Misfits Market is nice if you're big on buying food that gets tossed out due to appearance, if you're big on food waste and can afford it. Okay, okay, so Misfits Market, um, is what somebody mentioned, is nice if you're big on buying food that gets tossed out. But is it, is it healthy food? We want to make sure it's healthy food too. Okay. All right, so, um, let me get this link real quick, uh, for you. Give me one second. Okay, I think it is— okay, so the, the brand of the pastries, because I didn't want to say that wrong, is called Organic Bread of Heaven. I like that name too. Organic Bread of Heaven. And their, uh, their products, their food products are USDA organic, dairy-free, nut-free, um, most of it is egg-free, I believe, soy-free, sesame-free, um, very, very healthy. No seed oils, right? So if you're looking at the ingredients, no, it is— you will not find any bread mostly without seed oils. I'm gonna just tell you that now. And oh, I should have said this to begin with, my number one ingredient that is going to probably cause one of the most harm for you, inflammatory harm, is seed oils, polyunsaturated fats, PUFAs, corn, uh, corn oil, soybean oil, canola oil, any type of vegetable oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil. Those are really bad oils. And the reason why is because too many people have too much omega-6 in their diet. They don't— they have too much omega-6, too much inflammatory oils. It's not like you can probably avoid it 100%, but It's in too much stuff. You're not going to find any pastries or, or breads or anything without seed oils. So this is a, a healthy replacement, Organic Bread of Heaven. And I believe their website is— and I'm going to put it in the description below, so if you're watching a replay of this, it's in the description below— ovenfreshdelivery.com. I have no affiliates with them, but they're a good source. Okay, now I'm not saying that everybody still should be eating pastries. Like, if you're trying to lose a lot of weight and stuff, I would just chill out a little bit, um, on doing too much honey buns and stuff, even if it is healthy. Because not because you should never eat sugar, in my opinion, but because if you don't have a body that can metabolize glucose well, then you need to just kind of slow down a little bit. Okay, Bobby. Yes, Bobby approved app. Um, Bobby approved app. Bobby is a, uh, a health enthusiast who helps to, you know, shop for healthy ingredients. And, uh, he has an app that you can put the food item in there, and, um, and he, and he will let you know if he approves of it or not. Now, that doesn't mean it's not, you know, healthy, or it's, um, or it's— it does— it doesn't— it's not 100%, but this is, this is his take on it, right? So let's say he approves some kind of almond milk that's a healthy almond brand, right? Well, if you have problems with too many oxalates in your diet, or if you have a reaction to almonds, don't use— then that's not good for you. One person's good food to heal their body could be another person's poison. So even if Bobby does approve it, even though it's a really good app because he's very health conscious, he may approve something, but if it doesn't work for your body, the number one defense is to pay attention to your own body, y'all. Just, just pay attention. If you get to bloating, you got side effects for it, you got the runs, you run to the bathroom, it's uncomfortable to you or whatever, you start having allergies. You know, I get allergies to certain foods when I eat it. I, I just get an allergy, and it depends on even the day. If I haven't gotten enough sleep, I noticed that my, my food allergies are a little bit higher than normal. Um, and so, but usually I don't have food allergies on healthy foods, so, um So I'm, I'm, I'm pretty good, you know. It's usually something that's like— Bob, it's usually something that's— it can even be a plant. Like, it can be a plant, like, um, some kind of just plant, you know. It could be a coffee bean or something that I have a really allergic reaction to. Where somebody else like, oh, I got a plant-based diet, I do good with plants. Well, sometimes I get allergies from plants. So there's no such thing as like, oh, this is healthy, this is not. It's Is this healthy for me or is this unhealthy for me? And you just got to know it. And some days are different, some seasons are different. You just got to know your gut microbiome, what you can do or not. I don't like taking probiotics, but I think it's great for a lot of people. Probiotics kind of will mess my gut up because I do enough fiber and I do enough probiotics in certain foods and fermented foods and raw milk and things like that. And so it will be— it gets overkill for me if I'm doing a lot of probiotics or taking a probiotic supplement, whereas somebody else, they take a probiotic and they do really well. I'm not gonna lie, I took probiotics in the past and it didn't mess my stomach up, but I had a different diet also. So it just, it depends on a combination of your diet and where you are. So always pay attention, okay? Always pay attention. Um, high oleic sunflower oil ingredient from an oat milk vegan butter. That's, that's probably healthier if you're talking about, um, a high oleic sunflower oil is probably healthier But I still generally don't like too many, um, seed oils because usually butter or some kind of, uh, real animal fat or some kind of, uh, real food, um, you know, fat from real food or oil from real food like olives, olive oil or avocado oil is usually going to be better, or coconut oil. Um, or macadamia oil, you know, macadamia nuts, like, um, the monounsaturated fats, meaning from macadamia nuts, um, those are typically a little bit better. Okay, so, um, yeah, but I'm not saying that the organic sunflower, and then, you know, organic and then the cold-pressed oils, um, some of them are better than others, don't get me wrong, but I generally— and it's not going to hurt you if you're doing a little bit of it, but What I said was that there's a chronic elevation of too many seed oils in your diet, more than likely, especially if you're eating processed foods. Okay, and so we got to watch out for that. Okay, um, ghee. Ghee is fine. It's just, it's just butter without the, the dairy portion. Um, ghee is fine. It's real. So ghee is good. A lot of people like ghee, um, especially if they're not— they don't have a tolerance for dairy. They prefer ghee. Um, butter, avocado oil, olive oil. Um, I like, um, you can even do like animal fat, whether it's duck fat, you know, grass-fed, um, what do you call it, uh, beef fat. I'll just stick to the animal, you know, different animals. Now I know we get a lot of stuff being said about, you know, lard, um, but I mean, it is pig fat. I'm not saying I'm— it's— I'm not saying it's the best. I'd rather go with tallow. I love tallow. I use tallow fat for my eggs and stuff, you know. So some people use butter, I use tallow fat, grass-fed tallow. So that's beef fat, by the way, y'all. That's why I just say beef fat, because sometimes when I say tallow, people don't know what tallow is. So I just say beef fat. Um, I always cook my meats, steak, beef, with butter, and I kick my eggs with bacon grease. Yes, I sometimes— my— so my daughter don't like her eggs cooked with anything other than bacon grease. If I cook it with butter or whatever, she like, nah, I don't want none. So she do like the bacon grease, um, to cook— high quality bacon, um, but she liked the bacon grease for her eggs. So, but I'd rather cook with bacon grease again than seed oils and vegetable oils. And a lot of restaurants, when you go to the restaurant, y'all, just a, um, a little hack: tell them do not use vegetable oils. Tell them you're allergic to vegetable oils, okay? Tell them you are allergic to it and tell them to use and replace it with olive oil, butter, or whatever, okay? And most restaurants will, and they have it, okay? Because they put— they'll put— they'll put vegetable oil in everything. I went to a restaurant, y'all not gonna believe this, I went to a restaurant that said that they cooked bacon in vegetable oil. So I guess they put the, the vegetable oil on the pot and then put— they— but why are you putting bacon You don't even need— bacon can cook with its own fat. I don't understand that. Like, so now you making the bacon have seed oils mixed? No, no. So that's why you got to tell— you got to tell them you allergic to stuff. Like, I'm allergic to vegetable oil, please don't cook anything with vegetable oil. Do you have any butter? Do you have any olive oil? Is there a different replacement? Okay, all right. So, um, anyway, I just wanted to come on and share that. So hopefully you got all the resources again.
