In this candid interview segment on Karamo’s show, the guest (Speaker A) recounts surviving stage‑4 cancer, describing the physical reality of a port‑a‑cath and a 30 % survival chance. After beating the disease, she fell into a deep substance‑use spiral—using crack, heroin, and meth in every possible way—while also engaging in sex work to fund her habit. She explains how she met her current partner, describing a bizarre first impression of his belly and a preference for larger men, and how he helped restore her sense of self, including her “booty.” The conversation shifts to her complex family life: she has six children, lost custody of one due to drug use, and currently cares for a three‑year‑old daughter with her partner, whom she praises as a great father. She admits to still manipulating men but draws a line between sex and love, emphasizing that intimacy with her partner is now for one person. Throughout, she reflects on vanity, survival, and the emotional toll of her choices.

No, all right, look, real talk. I was a hoe. I was not a regular hoe, a Merry Christmas hoe, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho. You know what I'm saying? But at the end of the day, all right, let me give you some background on why I was a hoe. All right, I beat stage 4 cancer. I don't know if y'all can see that, but I have a port-a-cath in my chest. You know what I'm saying? Thank you. Now, after beating, well, I had a 30% chance. I was given a 30% chance. I thought I was gonna die. You know what I'm saying? I thought I was gonna die. So at the end of the day, I'm like, I'm going out with a bang. I tried everything. I was on crack, heroin, meth. I was like, I'm gonna smoke it, snort it, shoot it, any way I can get it in my system. I'm just glad to still have front teeth. That's it. But at the end of the day, I end up beating the cancer and leaving with a habit. And in order to supplement my income, I did what I did. Now, as far as what he talking about, like, I do get in and outta cars with men still. That's because we ain't got no car. You don't want me to get in the car with nobody? Get a car. Get a car. Let's get us riding, baby.
Got it.
You know?
So how did you two meet?
Okay, well, when I was hoeing, I was with one of his friends.
Oh, okay, okay.
So when I was with one of his friends and we rode up, I actually didn't even see the man face first. I saw his belly and I was like, I wanna rub that belly 'cause I'm a firm believer. I said, you gotta be at least 250 with a little bit of man to get this kitty, you know what I'm saying? I like 'em, I like some fluffy, baby. I like 'em fluffy. So, you know. I love it.
Oh my God, I'm sorry. You a mess for that one. You a mess for that one.
Like, you handsome and everything, but you too skinny.
Okay, I'm too skinny?
You know. Now, it's been years since I've slept with anybody else. Anybody, I mean years. I've been for that man, I'm for that man. That man gave me my life back. He gave me my booty back, 'cause I had smoked my booty off and everything. You know, in the black community, having a booty means something.
Means something, you know what I'm saying? So when did you actually start using drugs?
How old were you, or how long had you been using? 20, this is about, it's almost 12 years now. So I think I was 26.
26.
Yeah, 26.
That's a lot to go through, dealing with cancer while also trying to figure out your mental state, having this addiction. So when did you decide to get clean?
When I smoked my booty off. It was really like, it really wasn't no, no, no, seriously. It wasn't no like, oh my God, I gotta do it for my kids. It was really shallow and vanity. Yeah, okay. I didn't have no booty.
I appreciate your honesty.
Yeah, I ain't had no booty and I was walking around looking like somebody hit me in the butt with a bag of bricks and I was like, I gotta do something about this. I need my booty back.
And you have a 3-year-old daughter together.
Yes.
Is she your only child together?
Well, she's the only one we have custody of.
Okay.
I have 6 children total. Okay. And we had one child before this and I lost custody of her 'cause I was still on drugs.
Okay.
So, but yeah, and they took her, but the 3-year-old's the only one we got in the house with us.
Got it. Is he a good father?
He's a great father.
So I have to ask you serious 'cause we saw the video and he has concerns. I know you said you get in the car because you two don't have cars.
Yes.
But are you still prostituting?
No, but I'm not gonna lie, I do still manipulate men. At the end of the day, I've never, sex and love have always been two different things for me. And with him, making love and being intimate, that's something he taught me that that's for one person.
Yes.
That's you, every time you sleep with somebody, you give them a piece of yourself.
Yes.
They take your soul, you know what I'm saying? And Lord knows my soul gone 'cause my body count high.
