A person confronts their mother about a medical emergency where they felt abandoned, saying she wasn't there when they stopped breathing and passed out. The mother responds defensively, saying she made sure the family never went hungry.

Act like a mama and stop acting like the damn devil. Where were you when I stopped breathing? I remember that day I passed out unconscious. Where were you?
Probably with a nigga.
Mom, where were you physically? Where was that love? Like, I'm so damaged by that. I didn't have mommy. You were always somewhere, just cared about yourself.
Okay, but as you can clearly see, she never went hungry. None of us never went hungry.
