So Ella and Rhonda were on my show before. Take a look. So what happened on the way back from the funeral?
I was robbed. It was a cousin, her son, and a friend. Only ones in the car. I had $900 and I ended up with $430-something.
Tammy's cousin Ella is in the audience. So how did you first find out about all this?
So I told Tammy, I said, but you know, I really don't think she took it because if Rhonda would've took it, she would've took all your shit.
I think it's time to get to the truth. The first question was, Rhonda, did you steal the money from Tammy? You said no. You said no. And Rhonda is telling the truth. The second question is, Rhonda, do you know who stole Tammy's money? You said no. And Rhonda is telling the truth. And now they're back because of a family secret She's keeping a secret. Please welcome Ella to the show so we can hear what's going on. Let me give you a hug. Y'all don't know, these my favorite people. These my favorite people right here. How you doing, love?
I'm doing fine.
Okay, so what happened when you and Rhonda saw your dad before he died?
He always on some shenanigans.
Uh-huh.
He said, "Why is you with Rhonda? That's not my child." Oh. And I was like, "What?" And I looked at her and— She, sorry.
Yeah.
She looked real heartbroken, but then she was trying to like cover it up.
At any point in your life has your father ever denied Rhonda?
Well, not to me until that day, but he said it to other people.
But to you, I mean. So to you, you had never heard him deny her.
No, no, but—
Did you ever talk to your dad privately about this?
Yeah. And what'd he say? He said that, "Who would know if they fucking a hoe?" That's what he said. I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Yeah. And I didn't wanna tell Rhonda. My mom told me, she said, "You don't have to tell her 'cause I mean, far as she know, that's her daddy. Far as y'all know, ain't like y'all can do nothing about it." Yeah.
Did you ever talk to Rhonda about this?
Yeah.
And what did she say?
I don't know nothing about all that, sister. I ain't got nothing to do with all that. I don't even give a fuck about all that. I don't even care. I'm like, how you don't care? I even said it. 2 years ago, I was gonna come to your show for the same thing. And she didn't wanna come. Why you don't wanna come? Because it don't make no sense. I said, I truly don't think it make no sense neither. But then I'm steady hearing it, steady hearing it, steady hearing it. So yeah, you finna come here.
Because you want answers.
Yeah.
Yeah, you want closure.
I want closure.
I want her to close her mouth. That's the closure I want. I really feel like it don't make a difference if she here. She is my sister. That's how I've been feeling. I don't know how I'm gonna feel in a minute. I don't know, everything changes.
Yeah, of course.
But I feel like even if it says I am her sister, I gave you so much of my time.
How did Rhonda react when your husband and mother passed away?
Oh man, Karamo.
My cousin Tammy that was here on the other show. Yeah. My husband passed away January. My mom passed away March. So my whole world was over.
Oh, damn. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.
It was over. I'm calling them, texting Rhonda. Rhonda see on Facebook that my kids is posting and saying stuff. And all she say is, "Oh, tell your mama I love her." Well, bitch, they mama phone work. Call me and tell me this. She didn't come. But Tammy called, she said, "Did Rhonda ever come and see you?" I said, "You know what, cuz, no." I said, "But don't be opening up no can of worms, cuz I done already threw all them bitches and hoes all out in the street, you know, everything. I don't even wanna bring that back up." I mean, I called her so many names, so many names, and now she know I called her to her butt, oh well. Tammy called me at 12:30. 3:30, I got a call, and I'm here, whew. I'm like, "What, where you at?" She said, "I'm on the road, cuz." She was like, guess who I got in the car with me? And then all of a sudden Rhonda say something in the background. So you made her come to see me? She said, yeah, I made her come to see you 'cause she need to come see you. You her little sister and this and this. I'm like, she know that. When her son died, I broke my neck to her. When her mom passed away, I broke. It's like, you can't give me that same?
Yeah.
But you expect me to not have feelings about how you treat me?
Yeah. This makes sense now why you feel used. Has Rhonda denied you to other family members?
Mm-hmm.
She has?
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
Yeah, that's why I wanted Tammy to be here and I tried to get another one to even do a voice call or whatever, but they chickened out.
Mm-hmm.
And it's like, now I'm wondering, was y'all lying?
Yeah. Why do you want this DNA test?
I wanted to shut Rhonda up because I wasn't there when her mama or even my mama was in the bed with my daddy. So I know who I belong to. But I love her and in a way I really hope that she is my sister 'cause I do have a bond with her, I love her so much. But at the same time it's like, you left me all this time. And you was made to come and get in the car.
I think it's time to hear what Rhonda has to say about all of this. Everyone, please welcome Rhonda to the show. Welcome back, Rhonda. How you doing?
I'm okay, I'm okay. Good.
So what was it like to hear your father deny you before he died?
Um, can I—
First of all, do you remember that day?
I don't remember Daddy denying anybody. You don't remember when my husband said, "Rhonda, you all right?" I remember when I came down there and we all went to go see Dad and he asked you, "Who is this?" I remember that, yes.
Yeah.
Yes, I do. But before I answer your question, can I say something to my sister?
Of course you can.
That was a lie. Tammy didn't make me come to see you. She called me.
She said it right there, Rhonda.
No.
And you was on one end of the couch and I sat on the other end. You said, sister, why you way over there? I said, 'Cause didn't you just hear her say she made you come and see me?
She might have said it, but it wasn't true.
And then we started joking about her and the dude talking crap to each other.
Yeah, we were joking about that, yeah.
Yeah, see, that was a lifesaver at that moment, but I'm trying to figure out why the fuck was you really sitting on my couch? Did you come there for me?
Because I came down there to support you.
You came down there to support me how long? Has it been since my husband was dead and my mama was gone?
It has been a while, and I'm still grieving over my son, but nobody made me come and see you. That was a lie.
When your son passed away, where was I at?
You was there.
When my mama, when my husband passed away, where was you at?
I wasn't there, baby.
When my mama passed away, where was you at?
I was not there.
When your mama passed away, where was I at?
You was there, baby.
See the difference? I was there, you wasn't there.
It was a big difference, yeah.
So why weren't you able to be there for her?
I still wasn't in my right mindset, 'cause I was still grieving over my son.
We could've grieved together.
Yeah, we could've. We could've.
I had your back since day one I met you. I told you once you got my love, you would never lose it. The only way you gonna lose it is that you take it away.
Had your father raised you?
I never felt that shit in my life.
No, not at all.
So your father didn't raise you?
He didn't raise us, no.
'Cause I can tell when we talk about this, sort of a disassociation. Sort of like you kind of like, oh, you know, that's what it is.
I mean, I know my father, but he didn't raise us.
So you didn't have a relationship?
Not at all.
And you don't have any strong feelings about him either?
I do because he was my father.
I had a relationship with him. But I ain't got no strong feelings about him. Yeah, okay. Not at all. I mean, I loved him, but I love you more than I love him. And I even told you that in front of him when he said, "You're a bitch," to you that day.
Yeah, that you did.
And he told me, he said, "Oh, now you starting to be like them." I said, "You damn right, they're my sisters." And we walked out that door together.
Were you aware that he had doubts about you?
You know what, one thing we gonna clear up, I wasn't the sister that literally said, well, to be honest with you, I don't think you our sister. I wasn't the sister that said it.
Dude!
You talk about bitch.
Somebody nicknamed me bitch.
Her sister.
Oh, okay.
Our sister.
Yeah, our sister.
Your sister, okay. On your mama's side.
I'm sitting on the floor talking to her.
We all didn't grow up together.
Got it, got it.
And you come walk in the door, Yeah, I remember that. She had just said that, didn't I, Sironda? And she was like, bump me. Why you just say that? I said, because you just said it.
I'm tired of people saying this. Yeah, and when we talked about it, I told you like I told her. I don't know what she said. I ain't saying she didn't say it, I ain't saying she did. She could have said anything when she was drunk.
You know what?
Me personally, I believe she said it, but I can't prove it. But I'm not the sister that said it.
Sironda, can I ask you this? Have you been telling other family members that you have doubts about Ella?
Not at all.
Not at all.
No. The reason why we didn't grow up as sisters, not because we didn't want to, because of our parents.
Makes sense.
Makes sense. I don't believe in that half, step, foster.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
We all got the same father but different mothers.
Rewind, rewind. You said because of our parents. What about our parents?
Our parents didn't allow us to grow up together.
Girl, shit. My mama made sure that I was there with y'all with Miss Mary.
No, I don't remember none of that. Like I said, our parents didn't allow us to grow up together.
Okay.
Rhonda, every time I saw your mama, she embraced me. Every time my mama saw you, she embraced you. When my mama introduced you to her brothers and sisters or whoever was around, she was like, oh yeah, that's my stepdaughter, Rhonda, or whatever. Girl.
I'm not saying we never came down there, we never visited.
Our mothers.
But we did not grow up together.
Our daddy wasn't worth.
We didn't grow up together. No, we didn't.
Do you think that you've used Ella in the past?
For what? No.
No.
No.
Okay.
I feel like you did because when you was going home on the train and you told me that she said, I don't know what it was, but she was going through all the stuff that I gave her and I gave her that money that day. And you was like, okay, so why did you take all this money and all this stuff? And she said, Well, 'cause if she gonna give it to me, I'm gonna take it. I didn't say that. So if, I didn't say you said, I said, "I'm gonna get it." Mm-hmm, yeah.
Okay.
Man, I don't.
Let me ask you this, why do you want this DNA test?
I want it because what was said to one sister from another sister, like I said, I don't know if she said it, I didn't hear it. There's a possibility she could have said it. She say a lot of shit when she drunk. I just want her to get the truth.
You are 100% sure?
I know the truth.
You know the truth?
I've never denied any of my sisters.
Yeah. Well, Ella, are you ready for the truth?
Yep.
All right, well listen, come with me. All right, so Ella, in this envelope is the truth of if you and Rhonda are sisters. This is your truth to open, not mine.
You see that? It says truth. And the truth is, I love you. If this DNA come back and say we not, I'mma always love you, you gonna always be my sister. But I need a break for a while. But I didn't need this. So I'mma leave this here for you.
I don't need that.
'Cause I know you my sister. I don't need that. That's yours, go get that.
I don't need that.
Go handle your business.
Girl, I don't need that.
Go handle your business.
Like I said, I wasn't the sister that ever denied you ever seeing it.
Okay, well she ain't here, so since ain't here, come on, me and you gonna go open it together. You can read it, but I don't need that. Dad.
What does it say?
Ella Rhonda is not your biological sister.
I'm so sorry. How you feeling right now?
I don't know how to feel because Whatever's going on, we ain't gonna fuck with that. Yeah. I don't know. Come here, Ella, man. Come here, man. I don't care what that shit say, man. You know the principle. I don't care what that shit say. We ain't got nothing to do with what Daddy did. Nothing at all. We ain't got nothing to do with that.
Yeah.
What we gonna do, be mad at each other 'cause he fucking around town? I don't care about that test. You my sister.
Stop crying, man.
Stop crying. I don't care about that test.
If y'all come take a seat for me. Come on, Karamo.
Can I bring back the other sister?
Yeah, you can. You can. I will help you get the truth, anything you need. But what you've said, Rhonda, is truthful. Y'all have been each other's life.
Yeah, we ain't got shit to do with that.
But at least you have answers, you know?
Stop crying, man.
I'm hurt, I'm not sad. I'm hurt. I'm hurt for all the stuff that people been saying.
We ain't had nothing to do with that.
It wasn't our fault. People say that things don't change once they find out what the truth is, but things do change.
Well, they only gonna tell—
And you.
Yeah, yeah, if you let 'em. You still my sister. You still my sister. 'Cause we ain't had nothing to do with that.
Yeah.
The one way I do see that this relationship could change is that I can see the love here. I know y'all gonna be sisters. I know y'all gonna be in each other's lives. I have no doubt about that. There's a friendship underneath that's really big underneath the fact that Y'all are sisters. But what I did hear several times, and that you even admitted to, is that as you're grieving and as you're going through what you're going through, I can tell that you probably one of those stoic types. You hold it, you hold it, you stay strong. And I think that that has to stop. I believe she knows you love her and you gonna ride for her and you gonna do everything for her. But what I'm encouraging for there to be growth in this so that that friendship and that sisterhood gets even stronger, is that when you going through something and you can't be there, let her know.
Only thing I can do is apologize for not being there and I'm sorry and I'll try to be a little bit more open-minded, okay? That's all I can do.
You can't do nothing about that test.
Look.
Right, I'm gonna tell you this.
I don't care what that test say, but guess what? Daddy did that. We ain't do that. Yeah.
I wanna say this. We know who our mothers was and them was the ones that took care of us. He wasn't there for anything and I ain't even there for that.
Right.
But I love you and you gonna always be my sister.
Yeah.
I love you too.
Listen, I appreciate y'all being here and any support y'all need, I got y'all, okay? Any support y'all need.
