Help! Is My Wife In A Secret Relationship? | KARAMO

In this episode of KARAMO, host Karamo mediates a tense confrontation between Troy and his partner Christina, who have been together for ten years and share two children. Troy discovered, after a birthday party, that Christina had been creating personalized TikTok videos and maintaining an OnlyFans account, which led him to suspect an emotional affair. He confronted her by placing screenshots of the messages on her phone background. Christina admits to a "TikTok crush" and explains that she felt emotionally neglected, noting Troy’s lack of verbal affection and praise, and her need for validation as a social‑media influencer. Both partners also reveal other trust breaches: Troy confesses to financial infidelity, spending $3,500 on personal hobbies, while Christina acknowledges sending 20 nude photos stored on her phone for Troy’s eyes only. Karamo conducts a phone audit, uncovering no suspicious apps, 20 private nude photos, a location visit out of state (Minnesota/Ohio), and 1,284 text messages with a person named “Fester,” identified as a neighbor/friend. The discussion shifts to deeper relational patterns: emotional walls stemming from childhood, trauma bonding, lack of communication, and the impact on their children. Karamo offers guidance on rebuilding trust, setting new boundaries, and providing emotional support, emphasizing the need for Troy to affirm Christina’s worth and for both to address underlying emotional needs rather than seeking validation outside the marriage.
Chapters
How did you find out about this affair that Christina was having on TikTok?
I was having a birthday party for her on her birthday and actually she was drinking a bit and I think drank a little too much and I overheard her talking about it to people. So it kind of sparked the thought, you know? So later that night when she fell asleep, I decided to look in her phone and yeah, looking, I ended up coming across some stuff on TikTok, you know, and I was pretty shook up about it. When I seen it, it really was a shocker.
And what exactly did you find?
So I just found videos, conversations.
What do you mean by videos?
Just like typical TikTok videos, but specifically made to a person, I guess you could say.
Oh God. So sort of like we're making the TikToks for me to send to you directly.
Yep, exactly.
And did the text messages say like, hey, it was so fun sleeping with you, whatever? What were they saying?
No, he's, the person lives pretty far away, but there was some planning. Other talk of planning a trip in the future.
It's not just innocent flirting.
Exactly.
Now we're making a plan.
Exactly.
Okay, so how long were we together at this point when you saw this?
Uh, this was actually pretty recent. We were together about 10 years at that point.
What did it make you feel like when you saw those messages? Because now you've been together for 10 years.
Yeah, you know, um, it was rough, man, you know. And I have a past. I, you know, I was with someone during my high school days, and a similar situation happened to a much larger extent.
Yeah.
Um, so, you know, it brought back a lot of bad memories of just, you know, pain and stuff and just feeling disrespected. We have 2 kids together, so a that was a big part of it was, you know, like thinking about the kids and, you know, what's gonna happen from here on out.
How did you let her know that you knew?
So I didn't know how to bring it up to her, so I screenshotted some of the messages and actually put it as the background on her phone. Oh! And so when she woke up in the morning, you know, that was the first thing she seen. And I actually left to go to the store.
I've heard a lot of things. That is a brand new one. I have never heard anybody do that. So my producers told me you don't like your wife's job.
Yeah, yeah.
What's her job?
She's actually a lingerie model and she, I found out she had an OnlyFans as well. And a lot of it—
So let me stop you right there. You said you found out she had an OnlyFans?
Yeah, yep.
Okay, so you're in a 10-year relationship and she didn't communicate with you, hey, this is a choice that I wanna make. How do we feel about that? How's this gonna affect our family?
Yeah, first of all, I love her. She is my woman. You know, I don't want everyone else to see her in that aspect. You know, like revealing yourself in that way on the internet, I feel like it'd bring more problems. We're a family, you know, we have kids. I don't want that out in the open.
Have you told her this, how you feel about this?
Yes, yes I have.
And what did she say?
You know, she agreed to a point, but in her eyes she kind of says it's more of like her dream and her passion. And so it's not fair to me to try and get in the way of that.
Do you ever say things to her that you wish you could take back?
Definitely.
What do you say?
I don't want to be with you, you know, and then I'm like, I'm going to leave you, you know, and more of an argument aspect, you know, of kind of just back and forth.
That's a pretty hurtful thing to say.
Oh, definitely, definitely. And I hate that I said things like that, and I hope she does too, and she says she does, you know.
10 years, do you still believe she's the right one for you?
I do, yeah.
You do? Why?
Um, there's a lot of pros to her, you know. She's a very emotional person, which is where I also lack, but I also love about her because she is an emotional person. She's a great mom, you know, and I love my children and she's fantastic with them.
So what do you need from her to make this work?
Trust, trust back, you know?
Trust.
Yep, yep.
And how do you build that trust?
You know, just proving that, you know, something like what we just went through would never happen again and it wouldn't still happen, you know, or still be happening, you know?
So that's why the stakes are big because you want me to unlock her phone to see if things are still going on.
Exactly.
If things are going on, what type of decision are you willing to make?
I won't sit around and allow it, so.
Okay, well listen everyone, Troy wants to keep his family together, but he is having a hard time trusting his fiancée Christina. She cheated but swears it's over. I think it's time to find out the truth once we unlock her phone. But first, let's hear what's going on from her. Everyone, please welcome Christina to the show. Hi Christina, how are you doing?
Hi.
Thank you for being here. Thank you. Yes, of course. So why are you here unlocking your phone today?
I actually don't even know why I'm here to unlock my phone because I thought, you know, we were past, you know, this part.
Tell me about this.
Sorry, I'm getting emotional.
No, no, no worries. It's hard. This is your family.
Mm-hmm.
So tell me about that online relationship you had.
Oh man, it's just a TikTok crush. It wasn't, you know, anything too crazy. I mean like, Like anyone that would find someone kind of attractive on TikTok, you're like, "Ooh, I'm gonna follow them." Then you see that they follow you back and you're like, "Oh man, they must kind of like me," you know? Well, at that time I was like, you know, really emotionally just overwhelmed. I felt really alone. Troy's not very like, he's not a very emotional person. There is lack of like attention for me. You know, when we first got together, he was like, I mean, I was his everything. And over the last, you know, years of being like, you know, a mother to his children, I just felt like I didn't have like that support from him anymore, that love. Like, you know, he's never, not once told me I'm beautiful through our 10-year relationship.
Really?
He doesn't like post me on social media. And that's what I do. I'm a social media influencer. You know, I post myself so I can have like, feedback from people to know that I'm a good person. I had a really rough growing up. So knowing that I can do something in my life and come from nothing makes me feel really good about it.
Yeah, I understand. Do you wish that Troy would've found out about the online relationship from you?
Honestly, probably not, just because we're not very good at communicating. I think that it would've been more, it would've been really hard for me to bring that up. It was something that I was kind of trying to hide, you know, something that wasn't, I was being sneaky and I shouldn't have been, but at the same time I just like really needed attention at the time.
Well, were you thinking about him at all during that situation?
I was thinking mostly like, you know, this is wrong, guilty feelings, but at the same time I felt really good. You know, I had somebody showing me attention, somebody, you know, talking me up. Like I said, we've never been on a date. He's never like called my dad and said, you know, can you please watch the kids so I can take Christina out?
Troy, is this true?
Yes, to an extent. But I think a lot is left out in the aspect of it kind of goes back to my working and my working shouldn't be my excuse and I should do more. But we've been kind of in this build mode in our relationship for 10 years now. You know, we started with nothing, you know, and it's really been like a mission to reach goals.
Goals, you know, but just because you're building doesn't mean you can't tell your wife she's beautiful. Do you feel like this relationship is right for you?
I do, I do. I feel like we have a lot to work on. I feel like we're really compatible as far as like, you know, um, our parenting skills, the love we have for each other. I mean, I know that I messed up. I know that I, you know, did something I probably shouldn't have, you know, but there's been some trust issues in our relationship, not just from my side, you know, but from Troy as well.
Oh, so you've done something to break the trust?
I've spent money.
It's called financial infidelity.
And yeah, I did, you know.
So you spent money on another woman?
No, no, no, no.
Okay.
No, just stuff like a hobby.
Well, basically like himself.
Just not saying.
Oh, on yourself.
Let's just say it was like $3,500 that I calculated all in one. I mean, every day he was going to the bank, grabbing money out, so.
Got it, okay. For this.
And like, what are you spending it on?
Yeah.
You know, not things for the house. It was things for himself.
So do you—
Selfish things.
Do you get upset when you think about not being with him?
Yes, I do. Because I don't know where I would be without him. I don't think that, like, I would even be able to be here today without him, you know?
Why do you feel that way?
Just 'cause he's helped me so much, you know, financially supported me emotionally. But he's always still just held my hand and told me like, good job and I'm proud of you. Even though I know he feels some type of way sometimes, but I just, I want you to know that no matter what I do, I love you. And all I want from you is just your attention. And I just want you to love me back like I love you.
Okay.
You know, I'm sorry, I'm a crybaby.
No, no, no worries, no worries. But the thing, before I can even give you any of my opinions on any of the things that I heard today, I think we need to get to these phone results first.
So I'm gonna put the phone away. Okay.
All right, Christina, we went through your phone to look for apps to see if you were talking to anybody else. We also went through photos, locations, and text messages. Part of the locations, I wanna be clear, is because you were worried that maybe she was seeing someone else somewhere else? Yes. It's a TikTok guy. You wanted to see if there was any visits or anything.
Yeah.
So when we went through your phone, Christina, the first thing we found, we went through apps, we checked for any suspicious things in apps, and we found zero apps. When it came to photos, we searched for any suspicious photos and we found 20 photos that were in your phone, all nudes of you, but they were never sent to anyone else.
They're for his eyes only.
All right, when it came to locations, we did find One location that was in a different state that wasn't your home state. I don't know where you were and I don't know who you're with. Do you know?
It was either Minnesota 'cause my grandfather passed away in 2021.
Do you know about this?
Yes, I do.
Okay, great.
Or it was in 2019 when I did a music video with Afroman in Ohio.
Do you know where this guy lives on TikTok?
Yes, I do.
Yes. Okay, is it either of those states?
No, it's not.
Okay, great.
All right.
All right, so when it came to text messages, we looked through your phones for suspicious text messages between you and anyone else to see if there's anything that could be suspicious. I did find 1,284 texts between you and the same person, someone named Fester. Do you know who that is?
Yes, yes, I know who that is.
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. Who's Fester?
He's our neighbor. He's like in love with us.
He's a good friend.
Okay, he's a good friend.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, makes sense. We're just telling you what we found out.
Bestie, my bestie.
Okay, great. That's your message. Okay, great. Now there was one other text that after my investigator went through the phone that I wanted to see because I'm all big on communication. And I found one text that was between you and Troy that I thought was pretty bad. We're no longer engaged. I literally don't even wanna be with you, but for the kids' sake, I'm going to keep trying and just know I'm not happy, period. But there is a bigger symptom in this relationship that I saw and realized right there. And I was listening and taking notes on what you all were saying here. One of the first things I asked you is why do you think you're compatible? And the only thing you could say to me was parenting. Echoes what you said here, only staying with you because of the kids. I also asked you if you are happy. You were like, "Oh yeah." Wasn't a convincing answer for somebody who's been with someone for 10 years. I just sat here and watched you say several times, "My husband never calls me beautiful." And not once did you decide in this moment to turn and say, "You're beautiful." Because there's a whole bunch about not having the same emotional bandwidth to be able to communicate maybe the same way she does. She could be overly expressive. But there's another thing about just showing common decency to your wife.
Yes.
Your wife has literally said, "You don't call me beautiful." And not one bone in your body thought to turn and tell your wife she's beautiful. Even right now. Even right now. Thank you.
You're beautiful. I'm sorry. You're beautiful. I love you.
I'm gonna tell you this right now, and this is gonna sound, this might sound crazy to some, I don't fault you at all for having this relationship on TikTok. I don't fault you one single bit. I don't. And let me tell you why I don't fault you. Because if even half of your relationship has been what I've seen here, you have been neglected your entire relationship.
I do agree.
Yeah, I appreciate you agreeing. Because all I'm doing is just going through facts. I'm not thinking about anything else. I'm looking at what you've said, looking at what you've done. And looking at what you've told me about your past, you've never gotten over trust issues. You have a wall up. Do you wanna talk to her about why you have this wall up?
I think I've never just acknowledged the wall.
I'm right here.
Wow. I think I've never, acknowledged it fully and I know that it's there. I know that it's there and it's been there a lot longer than, you know, since my childhood. It's just one of those big walls that you can't get over, you know? And a big reason why I haven't gotten over it is because I haven't accepted that it's there, I think. And I think I need to look at that wall I climb over it and—
Don't hate me, I love you. The fact that you would be able to establish and say, "Yes, there is a wall and it's been there from childhood." I don't know what happened in your childhood and I don't have enough time, I wish I did to really go into it deep with you, but there is something there.
Let's just say we have a trauma bond, I believe.
Yeah. But part of that is, I appreciate the acknowledgement, but as you're doing the work to get over that wall, it doesn't give you a right to neglect your wife. It doesn't. And your wife is screaming out for one thing. Just look at me, give me a little attention, make me feel good.
Do you think I'm cute?
Yes, I do.
Are you sure?
It's very interesting because the things that you're saying that you don't like, they're a direct result of the way that she's being treated in the household. When you start looking for things like attention from another man, that's just an emotional connection. There's not even anything physical. That's because it's like, I'm not getting it from you. And this is not an excuse. I'm not saying that you were, you're just absolved totally, but I understand your point of view. And I understand what it could be like to be in a house where you're raising the kids, where you're doing everything in the house and you just turn around and you're like, I am alone. I understand that feeling and how much that can hurt you. So yes, I'm gonna figure out since I have this one thing where I can connect with people, how I can figure out for somebody to say I'm good enough, I'm beautiful, I'm sexy, I'm nice. Look at me, like me, love me. I get it. You all have been together for 10 years. And there has to be some new boundaries set in this relationship. There has to be a reset. If he does those boundaries, this doesn't give you a right to keep seeking attention from other people.
Oh, definitely not.
So then you have to check your behavior.
Yeah, I just need your attention, really. You know, I'd like to wear my laundry for you instead of everyone else.
Got it, bro. Hold up, hold up. Where are you going? I know you wanna watch more Karamo, so click here to subscribe and click here here to watch more so we can keep talking and growing, friends. I love you.
