A 56-year-old single person asks Karamo for dating advice. They discuss what to look for in a partner after 50: someone tall and dark, financially independent with their own car and place, and compatible with having older children and grandchildren. The conversation covers the real challenges of dating apps, catfishing, and trust.
So my question is, what is your take on older dating, 50 plus, in this new age of social media, dating apps, catfishing, et cetera? 'Cause I'm 56 and single and a little leery to mingle.
Look at everybody at home. She is fly. What are you looking for? Listen, listen, I like to broker love. Let's take a moment. I like to broker love. Thank you.
She fine, right? Thank you.
So what are we looking for? Are we looking for tall, short? Tall. Tall. Dark. We're looking for someone with a certain type of education or not?
Education, job, have his own.
Okay, what does have his own mean?
His own car, his own shelter.
Okay, own shelter. So you're looking for somebody who's not gonna be trying to move in quick with you?
Right, right, right. Okay then, all right then.
But now this is the next question. So are you okay if he has kids that are younger? Do they need to be older? Or are you okay with grandkids? Or are you like, no, we need to be traveling the world?
Well, I prefer older kids, 'cause my kids are older, but I do have 6 grands.
Great, so you want somebody whose family unit is big. Yes, yes. Listen, we got somebody tall, dark, handsome, got your own stuff. She don't mind your kids if they older, and she want grandbabies with you. So listen, hit her up, all right? Thank you, all right.
