How did you find the text messages?

I honestly got to a point where I didn't trust what he was doing. You know, he wasn't working, he had quit working, and after a while I was like, this is weird, you don't wanna work, you just wanna live in my house, and you're not really being intimate with me, what is the issue? So while he's in the shower and while he wasn't home, I'd send him to the store and I'd go through his phone, I'd hack his accounts, and I found the text messages and I found the emails.

I mean, if you ever need a job, our investigator is off, I mean. 'Cause sound like you doing the same thing our investigator is doing. That's what an investigator does here. So when you found that, what did he say?

He gaslighted it. He basically said it's from the past, I'm so sorry, got down on his knees and kinda crossed his hands and was like, please dear God, just believe me, I love you so much. And these messages that I had found said the same thing that he was saying. They said I love you so much and I wanna be with you forever. And this is what he's saying to other girls, why would I believe it this time?

And how long were y'all into y'all relationship at this point?

At that point, about a month and a half.

A month and a half in, okay then. And how long y'all been together fully?

We've been together for 8 years.

8 years. And so a month and a half in, you start seeing this, okay. That sucks because the foundation, those are times when you feel like we should trust each other. Did you kick him out after this? And my producer said something like he took all the furniture.

Okay, so whenever I moved him in, he was losing his place. He was staying with his dad. And after staying with family for a while, they said, you've gotta go. You need to find somewhere to go. You keep leaving to go see women, which I thought was me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I said, well, I'll give him a place to stay. I moved all of my furniture out. I had friends who, they could use some help. I was 22 at the time. So I gave my furniture away and I moved all of his stuff in. And after finding the messages, I did kick him out. And he, I got a phone call from a neighbor. He was taking everything in my apartment. And the neighbor said, Gina, I know you're at work, but you might wanna get back because he's emptying out your apartment completely.

And were you pregnant during this time?

I was.

So you move him in to help him. He then decides while you're at work and pregnant to start moving this stuff out of your house?

Yeah. He moved everything out. I was left sleeping on a floor while pregnant. I didn't have anything. I had built such a reputation with my clients that my clients said, Gina, you're not gonna go through this alone. So she gave me the money to buy a bed so that I wasn't pregnant sleeping on a floor.

What was his justification?

He just thought that it was his stuff. He thought it was my stuff and he had portrayed such an image that he was perfect. So he told the rest of the world that I was a cheater. You know, I had my ex around a lot 'cause I have previous kids from a previous marriage.

So I gotta ask this, was there substance abuse issues?

No.

Okay, there was no substance abuse issues. So he just sold you, he just took your stuff to take himself?

He just took everything, yes.

Wow. Was he there for you during the pregnancy?

Not at all, not one single time. I contacted him multiple times asking for help. Inviting him to the sonogram appointments, he wasn't interested. He didn't show up until I was—

And this is after he moved out with your stuff?

Absolutely, absolutely. He didn't show up until I was actually at the hospital and he showed up to take a picture.

Did he deny the baby at all?

He did, he said that it was the ex's and that I was a cheater and he didn't believe that I was pregnant with this child. He had told this to an entire town of people, so.

What was the hospital photo of?

He showed up, I got told that he was there and he took a picture of the baby and then I said, is Thomas still here after labor? I said no, he took a picture and he left. He wanted to know if it was his kid.

Did he ever apologize?

No, he didn't apologize. He gaslighted the situation and he expected everything to be moved forward. I was interested in him, I was in love with him from the time that I met him. So it got to a point where he said, well, she's in love with me, then we need to move past the past.

And how did you get back together?

Well, he just started coming around to see the baby and again, I was just starstruck by who he was. So we got back together by just going on dates and him coming to see the kid. We started being intimate and things like that and it became where we were together.

So has his previous cheating caused you to have insecurities?

To say the least. It's to the point where when I look at myself, I don't believe that I'm the woman that other people say I am.

That breaks my heart to hear. My producer told me that you said he disappears for hours.

Yes, he'll go and work jobs and I built his business for him, so I'm aware of how long stuff takes. So he'll go and he'll get an appliance call. Appliance should take 2, 3 hours and he's gone for 8 hours and I'm calling, no answer. I'm texting, no answer.

My producer also told me you found a recently used emoji. What's this about?

So I found emojis and I've gotten to the point, Karamo, I'm not crazy, I'm hurt and I never healed from that. I got to the point where I'll look at his phone every once in a while and I'll just like check on things. Or in this particular instance, I happened to have been in his phone sending an invoice to somebody. And when I was typing up the invoice, I was using emojis inside of the invoice and I saw the, it's like a biting lip emoji with the dripping symbol.

[Speaker] So I thought, where's this from? And I kept scrolling and there was like beach emojis and there was like dating stuff, like going on a picnic together. And I'm like, I've never seen none of these. So I went to my phone, I didn't find them in my phone. I went back almost a year and didn't find these emojis. And I asked him about it and he said, "I sent all those to you." He said, "You're just bringing up stuff from the past and using it against me." What will happen if we find something in his phone today? I don't know what would happen. I know that my confidence is at a point that I can't honestly tell you I would ever believe in my beauty or who I am as a person to get in another relationship. So, I don't know. I don't know what would happen. I think that I would want to try to move forward for the sake of our kids, but I can't say that I would wanna move forward with him.

It kind of upsets me because I've made a lot of mistakes, I have. I'm not a perfect man, you know? It really makes me upset that I've put her through this much turmoil.

So did you sleep with any of those women that you texted?

I have not slept with any of them. I just—

Okay, but, but there was one particular one who said that I was interfering. She contacted me about a year after we got back together back together. And she said that she had gotten my information from his accounts. And she said that they had been sleeping together and that he had helped her through suicidal points in her life. So there is one incident where he says he didn't sleep with her, but she said—

why would this woman say that if you're—

I really don't know why she would say that. It really caught me off guard. Like, uh, I, I was texting this woman and I was talking with her and She seemed, you know, we were caring for each other, you know? It was just like, we were filling a void in each other's life at that moment. Like, it wasn't like, and then, you know, I continued to, I never spoke to her again after we got together.

And I respect what he's saying.

So do you consider that cheating? Because as you heard, when you said caring, we all said caring. Like caring, that's emotional cheating.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, 100% it is. Yeah. 100% it is, you know? And I can't be more sorry for that, you know?

But even if you're sorry, you have to understand that we can't just put a pretty little bow on it and put it away. I have to live with that.

No, you're absolutely right.

So in your opinion, what made you start cheating in the first place?

It was just, Mainly just keep on talking to people from the past. For what though? Like it wasn't—

Why would you wanna keep talking to people from the past? You didn't think I did enough? You didn't think I put myself aside and tried to focus on you enough?

Yeah, I did. Now I gotta ask you this because this has been on my mind. I'm sorry, this crazy as hell to me. Did you really take this woman furniture when she was pregnant?

Unfortunately I did.

Why did you take her furniture when she caught you cheating?

I guess 'cause I was just so upset that it was mine. It was mine.

It was his furniture 'cause I got rid of everything I owned and he took his stuff and left me with nothing but.

On the floor? Well, she's pregnant. You left her on the floor pregnant?

I guess at the time I didn't believe that the child was mine.

Oh, why? You have to understand, but you have to understand that the reason that I had my ex around so much was because I had two prior kids. Regardless of anything with you or another person, I'm gonna make sure my children are put first.

Because he's a father.

I understand that, but there's a fine line between, you know, having a father there while I'm there or having a father there whenever you're by yourself.

And you were working two jobs and I was working as well. So I had to find time to be able to let him be a father and come in and see those kids regardless if you're there or not. He deserves to be there.

You're completely right. But whenever we first got together, you know, and we're building that relationship together and you know, you're having some, you know, someone that's been with you already in the same house with you while I'm at work, it made me feel like, you know, hey, there might be something going on behind closed doors that I just, I don't know.

Sure, but let me ask you, if you and I were not together, would you want me to take your kids from you because I'm with someone else?

Does she still accuse you of cheating?

She still does accuse me of cheating.

How does she accuse you?

What does she do? She'll basically bring up old things, like things that happened in the past. You know, which is understandable. But you know, she'll, like for instance, like she'll, with the biting lip emoji, you know, she brought that up and you know, I told her, you know, hey, I'm not doing any of this. If I was, I would've, I'm doing it to you. Like I'm not sending this to anybody else because I made a vow whenever we got back together with myself to, you know, that I'm gonna be a better man.

I don't message them. And if I know exactly what he found, because I've seen them on my phone, they're in a spam folder. They are actually in a spam messages, and I don't ever touch them or go through them or anything like that whatsoever.

Okay, well, so because what I want is, because I do believe that you're telling the truth, actually, after going through deleted everything in your phone to find nothing but just these Facebook groups, I actually do believe you're telling the truth, but I believe transparency from this point forward is what she needs and what your relationship needs. Yes, absolutely. So are you willing to show her? Are you willing to show her what these groups are so that she can see that you have not messaged anybody? And then are you willing to unlike all those groups?

Yes, 100%. Truly.

How does that make you feel?

It makes me feel good.
