In this episode of KARAMO, host Karamo moderates a tense conversation between Rosie, her boyfriend (Speaker A), and herself about whether the boyfriend has been flirting with or pursuing Rosie’s mother. Speaker A admits that early in their friendship he was attracted to Rosie’s mother after she repeatedly praised her looks, but claims he never "hit on" her. Rosie insists her mother only gives compliments and denies any romantic intent. Karamo repeatedly asks for clarification, probing the timeline, the unofficial status of Rosie and Speaker A’s relationship, and whether any sexual activity occurred. The dialogue reveals confusion over whether the boyfriend was officially dating Rosie, whether he was still having sex with her while allegedly flirting with her mother, and the emotional fallout, including Rosie’s tears and feelings of betrayal. The conversation is informal, with repeated statements and a focus on uncovering motives and truth.

I never took her out on a date, a coffee date. I never got her number, even though she saved the numbers in the phone.
Do you hit on her?
Do you hit on her mom? You know, last time I hit on her was at the beginning.
So that's a yes. Yes. 'Cause it was the last time.
Last time I hit on her was at the beginning of our friendship. No, that's not true. When she just brought her around. You know, when she just brought her mom around, she was always telling me how beautiful her mom was and how much everybody always want her mom. So I'm like, "All right," you know what I'm saying? So we still at the beginning of our relationship, of our friendship still, and she brought her around and I was like, "Um," I'm like, "Yeah, she cute, whatever." Then next thing you know, she kept trying to—
He's my boyfriend, you're supposed to say she's not cute. Yeah, I don't know what everybody's thinking, she ain't cute.
Yeah, she wasn't though, but the whole point, we were just friends still. Nothing from friends, 'cause we was friends for—
You saw my mouth was kind of open during this, 'cause the way you just talking about this so casually about hitting on your girlfriend, Mama, is just blowing my mind.
No, I'm telling you, I'm telling you. I wasn't hitting on her. See, it's a difference. Does she hit on you? No, I never was. She always say that.
Yes, she does. She always tells him how good he looks. He smells good. It's a compliment. Look at you, look at you looking all nice today. I like the outfit on you, or your hair looks nice. She always, always, always, always.
Compliments. All it did have been compliments. And from the beginning, I really think that she still had her guy she was talking to. She was still free.
So you thought she was trying to hook you up with her?
Yeah, I thought she was trying to hook me up with her. She was single. We was single and soon she started crying after I said that to her mom. And I looked at her, I'm like, "Oh baby, I did not know you liked me like that. I did not know that you wanted to take it to the next level. I did not know you felt that way about me." I'm like, "You know what, baby?
I would never do that to you." So you were still having sex with Rosie even though you weren't official, correct?
Yeah, we wasn't official. We was, it was a—
And you were still hitting on her mom at that time?
Yes, I guess.
We can say that.
You said it, I'm gonna repeat what you said.
You said the last time I hit on her, I just wanna make sure, you weren't official is what you're saying.
Yeah, we weren't official. But you were having sex.
But in your mind, it sounds like y'all were official.
I wouldn't say that I thought we were official, it's just I would never expect him to wanna have sex with my mother.
Got it. So you're having sex, you wanted to make it official.
It could've been anybody else in the world.
You're on your way to making it official and then this started to happen.
Yeah, I guess. It could've been anybody else in the world and I probably wouldn't have cared, just not my mom.
