Hey After Buzzers, it's Ali Nasta here live at the GLAAD Awards and we are so excited to be here. There are so many amazing people that are part of the LGBTQ community tonight that we're gonna talk to and you won't want to miss it. Alrighty guys, we've got Karamo Brown. How are you doing tonight?
I'm really good, thank you. I love After Buzz. I actually got my start when I started hosting on After Buzz.
Oh my gosh!
For everyone who's watching After Buzz, it does turn people into real television hosts.
Well, you heard it first and you are now hosting the Are You the One Second Chances.
Yes, I am on MTV Out. I also have a show on the History Channel called The Unexplained. Are You the One is just amazing. I love, you know, helping people to find love, and then also I like putting them through these dirty challenges, which is also amazing.
I know, and it's just like there's so much excitement whenever they win a challenge. How has it been to be a part of the second part of the journey? Do you feel like they all kind of feel a little bit more known with the process?
Well, you would think that, but we put a lot of twists on them. Like, our show, actually at the end of it, we give them the option to share or steal the money, which is what, you know, love is all about, is that trust and trusting your partner, and we're really testing the trust. Where on the regular show, it's not so much about trust, it's about just finding the one that you're a match for, which is great.
Definitely. And how do you feel to be a part of the GLAAD Awards tonight?
It's amazing. I'm actually going to be— I'm hosting the backstage for the live show that's also going to air on Logo, and it's pretty awesome because as an openly gay man, I was the first openly gay African-American reality star in the history of television. There wasn't a lot of images for me to look up to when I first came out, and now to have GLAAD present so many images, just, you know, opens me up and just tears me up inside. That makes me just so happy because it's beautiful.
It truly is beautiful, and you're beautiful as well. You look so snazzy tonight. We got the memo of gray.
We do. We got the gray going on.
And there you have it, AfterBuzz TV family, sticking it right here at the GLAAD Awards. Thank you so much. Thank you.
