Karamo Reads Viewer Comments From "Viral Cheating Husband" | Karamo Connects | KARAMO

In this Karamo Show segment, host Karamo reviews and reacts to viewer comments about a viral TikTok in which Shamika exposed her husband’s infidelity. The husband, referred to as Speaker C, repeatedly admits to cheating and expresses a desire for divorce, even stating he would rather return to Nigeria than stay in the relationship. Karamo frames the husband’s request for divorce as an opportunity for Shamika to leave a toxic partnership and emphasizes that life events happen "for" a person, not "to" them. The discussion delves into the couple’s history of cheating, the husband’s past admission of infidelity, and Shamika’s occasional threat to send him back to his home country. Karamo provides extensive relationship advice, urging self‑love, accountability, recognizing red flags, and refusing to normalize disrespect. He also critiques the audience’s tendency to side with the husband and stresses the importance of personal growth before seeking new relationships. The segment ends with Karamo thanking viewers for their comments and encouraging continued engagement.

This is your brother with another bitch, with another bitch in his car, another bitch in his car.
So Shamika went viral on TikTok when she posted a video of her husband cheating on her with another woman. And then Shamika went viral again when she came on my show to confront her husband and he asked her for a divorce in front of my studio audience. Y'all had a lot to say in the comments and I wanna read some of them. So I'm gonna ask you directly, Yeah. Do you want a divorce?
I do want a divorce.
So you want to be done? Yeah.
I don't care if she send me back to my country. I just want a peace of mind.
Him telling her he wants a divorce is the best thing that could have ever happened to her. He just made room for the person who will genuinely love her to come in her life. Sending her lots of love her way. You're so right. In those moments where we're most hurt, we think like, why is this happening to me? And not realizing that it's not why did it happen to you, but why is it happening for you?
For you.
And in this case, this is one of those moments where it was happening for her so that she could get out of this toxic relationship and start to move forward. The man was cheating on you, he was out there doing stuff on you, and then he had the audacity to embarrass you by trying to divorce you on my show when he was the one that was in the wrong. Him saying, "I wanna leave," was for you so that you could start to figure out how to build yourself back up, so that you could start to figure out how to move on. And I think that's an important distinction to remember. Sometimes it's life is not happening to us, it's happening for us.
If I say, oh, I don't like it like that, she's like, oh, I'm gonna send you back to Nigeria. Like saying it, this is not like the first time.
No, I don't.
What you mean no you don't? That's what you always tell me that. You always say I'll send you back to your country.
No, it's when I'm sitting here telling you that I wanna spend time with you and then you're telling me to like get outta your face and don't talk to you and tell me I'm disturbing your life. If I was disturbing your life, then why didn't you just stay in Nigeria and leave me alone?
I assume when they argue, she threatens to send him back to Nigeria and now he's standing up for himself. So I asked this question, we didn't really put it in the episode, but I asked this question and I asked really how often does she say that comment? He admitted on the show that she doesn't say it that often. She had said it like once or twice as a response to him saying, "I'd rather go get a woman in my own country." So it's easy to say like, "Oh, she's threatened this man to send him back to his country," but she didn't. In the heat of the argument, yes, she might've made a comment, that was wildly inappropriate and she understands that now. But it was also in a direct response to him saying that I could get a better woman back home. I can get another woman back home that's better. And so it's sort of like, well then take your ass back home then. Is this the first time he's cheated on you?
No, it's not the first time he cheated on me. This is the second time that he's cheated on me. The first time was last year.
Baby girl, you're going to keep meeting the same person just in different bodies until you get right with yourself. After this search within yourself for peace and love, then what you seek, you will find. Amen to that. If you want a relationship, try to work on yourself. Try to find out what you need. Figure out who you are, what you deserve, how much you love yourself. And through that, then you'll find somebody who's also whole. You admitted to cheating on Shamika once before. Yeah. What happened in the past?
Okay, to clear that day, That video, I didn't cheat on that girl. If I did, I would let her know.
But you did admit to cheating on Shamika in the past, right?
Yeah, yeah, I did, I did.
So you say that Shamika listens to her friends and doesn't listen to you?
Yes.
Tell me about that. Why doesn't Karamo ever hold the right person accountable? She clearly bullied him with citizenship. That man said he would rather go back to Nigeria with peace of mind than deal with her madness. That speaks volumes. We must stop blaming the man. This man was caught cheating in a car with another woman and lied. You need to understand context. If your man was consistently cheating on you and moving out and doing things that were negative that were harming your self-esteem, if they make a comment once that yes is wrong, yes is wrong. Don't get me wrong, saying to somebody you're gonna revoke their citizenship or you're gonna try to get their citizenship revoked That stuff is horrible. My parents are not from this country. I can't imagine someone saying that to them. But can we also make sure that we're looking at the context? That if this man has repeatedly been disrespecting her and making her feel horrible and cheating on her, now you want me to what, take his side and say, "You know what, you are so right." She said to you that you should go back to your country. Yeah, so like that absolves you from all the negative stuff you've done? No, girl. I hold all guests accountable. It's just that, A lot of times the men don't wanna own up to what they've done because they get in front of cameras and they get embarrassed and they just don't wanna humble themselves. And it's just the truth of the matter. I don't think that you've been in a relationship yet where someone's who's given you the love that you deserve. I don't think you've been valued yet. And I think part of the reason that this is hitting you so hard is because you're trying with men who aren't worth trying with. She needs healing, self-love, self-respect, and learn to read red flags. But most of all, she needs to learn you don't give disrespect and you don't accept disrespect. First of all, half y'all out there need to learn that. Stop turning the red flags green. Stop doing it. I'm gonna say this to you right now so that we can put in ways that you understand. If you were at a stoplight and you saw traffic coming, Would you just all of a sudden be like, "You know what, it's green now. I'm gonna try to go through this busy traffic street." No, you wouldn't. So stop doing it with the men in your life or the women in your life. Stop looking at the traffic and the stuff you already know that's gonna come across because you talk to your girlfriends about it. You're like, "Oh my gosh, but like, I don't know, this kind of like..." The minute you have to start saying like, "I don't know, could this be?" That's because you know the oncoming traffic that's coming. So stop turning the light green and going through it. All right, and then secondly, you don't disrespect, they don't disrespect. It's the only thing you can do. Y'all had a lot to say and I appreciate everything that you had to say about the situation. I'm just glad that she is out of it and that she's moving on. Remember, keep commenting because I love reading them even when I don't agree. And remember to come back next time so we can keep talking and growing. I love you all.
