Maury Surprises Karamo With DNA Results! | KARAMO

In this episode of The Karamo Show, host Karamo sits down with Marcus (23) and his fiancée Rochelle to address rumors of infidelity and a disputed paternity claim concerning their 1‑year‑old daughter Ayla. Marcus explains that he first heard rumors on a basketball court that Rochelle was seen with another man in a moving vehicle, and later heard a similar claim about a hotel encounter. The couple has been together for four years, with an eight‑year age gap, and they share two children together while Marcus also helps raise three of Rochelle’s other children, making a total household of five kids. The rumors have caused Marcus to sleep on the couch for seven months, creating tension and communication breakdowns. Karamo offers counseling, urging vulnerability, honesty, and better communication. Maury Povich appears to deliver the DNA test results, confirming that Marcus is the biological father of Ayla. The episode ends with congratulations, a reminder to watch the show, and a call for subscriptions.

I'm good. So tell me, what is the rumor that you heard that day on the court that started all of this?
Okay, so like, man, listen, I had just took an L like on the court. Then, you know, a guy pulled me to the side, man. He like, man, you know, I seen your fiancée, she was in the back of a vehicle with a guy. And you know, from a distance the car was moving and you know, we all know what goes on in a vehicle that's moving. Got it.
Did you hear any other rumors about Rochelle before that?
Before that, no, sir. But I did hear a rumor. It was like a week later, another guy pulled me to the side and he was like, "Man, you know I seen your fiancée at the hotel with a guy." And I don't even know if this the same guy or not, you know?
Got it, got it.
So like, it was a lot, man.
And how long have you two been together?
We've been together 4 years now.
4 years?
4 years, yes.
Got it, got it. And why do you want this paternity test?
'Cause I really, I just wanna make sure that, you know, that she's mine, you know, I have the best of both worlds. I have a son, you know, and I also—
'Cause you two already have one child together.
Yes, sir.
One child together. Okay then. And so are you questioning paternity of both children or just one today?
Just one.
Just one.
Just one. Okay. Which is the last one.
Understandable. And so these rumors only started recently?
Yes, sir.
This is how—
It was after I went public of, you know, proposing to her and things like that. That's when, you know, the rumors started coming in. Oh. Yeah.
Do people often make comments about your relationship?
Well, not now, but before, like when I first met her, you know, they was like, "Oh man, come on, man, what you doing, man? You too young. You don't need to be with that old lady. You know, you shouldn't have no kids with that old lady." Not old lady.
Is there an age gap?
Well, yes, it's an 8-year age gap.
8-year age gap.
Yes, sir.
That is not no old lady. Whoever them people are need to cut it out.
Yeah, I mean, they blocked now, so I won't have to worry about 'em.
But they're making comments. They're trying to get in your business, trying to get in your head.
At the beginning, yeah.
All right, and when did you meet Michelle?
I met her 2019, my senior summer.
Okay.
Me and the guys, we was out shooting a music video, my best friend, and she had actually rolled past with my cousin and he spotted me and he told her to turn around. You know, when she turned around, they pulled up. When I seen her, you know, which was, it was like August 28th, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, it was August 28th, 2019. When I seen her, I'm like, yeah. I told the guys like, man, I gotta have it.
Yeah.
You know, I gotta have it. And later on that night, you know, they came in, they picked me up, and since that night I never went home, man.
Ah, I love that. That's special. Yeah. Did your family want you to be with her, to date Rachelle?
Well, they didn't know Rachelle, so they didn't, you know, my mother, she had doubts about it 'cause, you know, she was, a lot older than I was. So you know how parents are.
So even mom had an issue with her being a year older?
Yeah, at first, at first, yeah.
Okay, at first.
But when she actually got to meet her, she was fine with it.
Was there any other reasons other than age that your mother might've had doubts?
No, not that I know of. She never came to me and said anything about it if it was.
I remember my producer telling me backstage that you were pursuing opportunities in basketball and that things sort of halted at that time. Yes, sir. How did your mother feel about you being a basketball hopeful and then sort of now you're in this long-term relationship with Rochelle?
Like I said, she don't really say too much. You know, she don't really speak on a lot of things. She kind of keep it to herself. She keep it bottled up.
Do you still play basketball often?
Yes, sir.
Are you still pursuing it professionally?
Yes, I do.
Good job. Congratulations.
Thank you. I don't— Yeah. Yeah.
And you have 2 children with Rochelle?
Yes, sir.
Okay, well potentially two. You have the one. Right, right, right. And do you think your daughter looks like you?
No, not at all.
Not at all?
My son now, he look just like me. I know my features, man. She don't have my nose, my lips, my ears, no nothing, man.
Yeah. And how do you feel about all this situation, sincerely? Because at the end of the day, that's a beautiful photo. At the end of the day, you are a young man and to be questioning the paternity with someone that you're calling your fiancée has to be be hurtful.
Yes, I mean it is, it's stressful, man, you know, like wanting to be there for the kids, you know, it's been a year and you know, and it's just, it's been a lot, man, definitely.
How old are you exactly?
I'm 23 years old.
23.
Yes, sir.
So 23 years old, you have one child confirmed, potentially another child, and my producer told me you're taking care of also her three other children.
Yes, sir.
So at 23, At 23, 5 kids.
Yes, sir.
Potentially 5 kids, 4 kids, but 5 kids.
Yeah.
How's that been for you?
It's fun, man. Like, I love it, man. Like, I treat the kids like they're mine. They love me.
Yeah.
You know, and it's just, it's been great, man.
I mean, we often hear the opposite stories of where young men don't wanna play a part in their children's lives. The fact that this young man has decided to play a part in his own. Good job. Good job.
Thank you, man.
Thank you. But my producer told me right now you're sleeping on the couch. Why are you sleeping on the couch?
It's like when I get to thinking about the rumors and things like that, it's just like I don't even wanna be near her. You know, I just wanna get away. That way, you know, we won't cause no arguments in front of the kids and let the kids see things like that. 'Cause it, you know, when parents go through, when, you know, adults and parents go through things like that, it also hurts the kids.
Got it, got it.
And the oldest 3 is also old enough to understand.
Got it. Okay, got it. Were you in a household where you saw people get into fights and things? Was your father?
No, I actually grew up in a single parent home. Me, my brother, and my mom.
I hear that. Well, listen everyone, I think it's time to meet Rochelle. So everyone please welcome Rochelle to the show to get her side of the story.
Hey Rochelle, how are you doing?
Good, how you doing?
I'm good, thank you. So how do you feel about what you just heard?
I was back there and I wish you had some boxing gloves 'cause I would, I'd punch him right in his face right now. It's just like he's believing rumors, rumors, no text messages, no proof, no nothing. Just what people are saying. You just believe in what people are saying at this point and it's like we are here on your show because of Rumors. You're denying our baby because of rumors.
Yeah. For the record, have you ever been with anyone other than Marcus?
No, it's been 4 years. I've dedicated, I've put my all into this relationship with him. I don't wanna be with nobody else, but if he keep doing what he doing, I'm gonna be with somebody else.
Yeah. Do you feel like people didn't want y'all together?
I know for a fact they didn't because I'm 8 years older than him. Oh yeah, and they talking about old lady.
Who old?
I look good, I ain't old.
You look good. Listen.
I'm not old.
Well, tell me about the beginning of your relationship.
We met 4 years ago. We actually, his cousin, it was actually my friend, you know, he's the one who introduced us and he was shooting a music video and like, you know, we hung out that night and he came to my house and he never went home. And we just been together ever since. It's always just been me and him.
So how have these haters been getting in between your relationship? 'Cause clearly y'all on this show, what other ways are they getting between you?
I mean, they harassing us on Facebook, like fake pages messaging him saying like, you know.
Like I was at work when they was harassing me. Really? Yeah.
They basically telling him like, he deserved better than me.
Right, right, right, right.
What hurts most about the situation?
Because you are denying our child. Like, you know, like it's always us. I never go anywhere. We don't have no friends. It's just me and him.
But still.
And it's no possible way that— I know for a fact it's his baby.
That's just me.
I get that. I get that. But it's like—
It's his baby.
He loves him.
I do leave home sometimes when I go fishing, things like that, playing basketball at the court.
I'm always there with you. And I'm at home with our other kids. So who am I bringing in our house with other kids in there?
I got it.
I got it.
Have any of your other kids ever been denied by their fathers? Has this ever happened to you? This is the first time? Mm-hmm. So this is a new experience for you?
Yes.
Yeah. And how's Marcus as a dad?
Great, great father. He's great to my other kids. He's great to his kids. It's just like with our younger baby, I can kind of tell, like I can just see it in his face that it's some type of denial there.
Oh, is he treating her different?
I mean—
Treating the youngest different?
Yes. And she's 1, so of course she don't see it. She don't understand it, but I see it.
Are you treating the youngest different because you're not sure?
I wouldn't really call it different. You know, like it's just ever since the rumors, it's like when I look at her, it's like, wow, like what are you treating me like?
And her nose, that nose, they all got that nose. He got the nose, his mom got the nose.
Yeah.
His brother got the nose.
I know my nose, man.
They all got that same pig nose.
My nose wide, man.
They all got that same pig nose. Look at that nose.
I think it's adorable. I think it's adorable.
They got the same pig nose.
How has this affected your intimacy?
It's been 7 months. Since he even slept there.
7 months on the couch?
Yes.
Since he slept in our bed, it's been 7 months. I sleep in the bed by myself.
That's a long time.
Yeah, it is.
Yeah.
It is.
What really is heartbreaking for me is that I remember being this young. Y'all remember being this young? And how the slightest person whispering something to you becomes the loudest voice in your head.
Right.
And what I had to learn and what we all have to learn is that you You can't allow that. And I know for you being young, you haven't practiced that a lot. Because even 7 months of you sleeping on that couch, you don't understand that even what that's doing to y'all. Like when you have these situations, whether this is your child or not, I do not know, you have to be able to sit her down and say, look, this is where vulnerability kicks in. I want you to look at your lady right now and I want you to say to her, this entire time has made me feel as if I couldn't trust you.
This entire time has been making me feel that I can't trust you.
And when I feel like I can't trust you, then I stop trusting my own decisions.
And when I feel like that I can't trust you, I stop trusting my own decisions.
You feel me? What you just did there is you're being honest about this because that's at the core of what's going on here.
Right, right.
And you gotta be able to communicate to her exactly what you're feeling because 7 months on the couch, right now it's all good. She's still being strong enough a woman But she could be a different woman that says, you know what, I'm tired of this. This is too immature. You know what I mean? And then all the way, everybody talking about she's older, people gonna be telling her, look, you dealing with a child. He's too immature. He's sitting on the couch.
They telling me that.
I'm sure, I'm sure. And the thing is that you're not immature. Because for you to step up in this position and be taking care of this household, be doing these things, you're not immature.
Right.
Right, right, right.
Can you make a commitment to be more vulnerable with your lady?
I will, I will definitely be, you know, be forward with you, be honest with you. If you know something wrong with me, I will come to you, talk to you, let you know everything that's going on.
No more sleeping on the couch.
No more sleeping on the couch.
Yeah. But also, can you make sure he knows that you gonna be there for him to let him be a little bit more vulnerable?
Yes.
Yeah, listen, all right. Listen, well, we gotta get to the DNA results right now. I think that my envelope is gone. Can you bring it to me? Where's my DNA envelope? How you doing?
You know what to say.
No, no, you want to do it. No, this is for you. You got my envelope.
Everybody, the OG.
Maury's here. Thank you. Wow. Oh boy.
I mean, you got the best man in the business to read your results.
I just want you to know I've been backstage. I've been listening to your story. Karamo does a great job when he gives you advice. Have you thought about what's gonna happen if you're not the father?
Yes, I have.
No, because he the father, Mom.
He the father. I definitely think he is. I think I've heard that before.
I think I've heard that in my life.
I definitely have thoughts. I definitely, like, if I'm not, I'm gonna step away from the relationship.
You are?
Yes, sir.
As you should.
So, here's the result. In the case of 1-year-old Ayla, Marcus, you are the father!
Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you.
