Karamo, I told my daughter to call your show because she needs help. My daughter is 6 months pregnant with my first grandchild. And instead of focusing on her health and happiness, she is constantly fighting with her fiancé, Laney. I get calls and text messages and FaceTime videos at 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning. Them yelling, screaming, calling the police on each other. It's just enough is enough. This is outrageous. During the last few fights, he has had the nerve to accuse my daughter of not carrying his baby. These are unfounded allegations, and I am not gonna stand for it. He needs to man up, step up, and stop accusing my daughter. As a mother, it just breaks my heart. I want my daughter to be cared for, loved, and happy. I just don't want her under such desperate amounts of stress. If they can't get it together, I'm afraid that she and Laney might have to break up. This could be the end of them.
Well, let's talk to Shareesha's daughter, Kayla, and hear what's going on. So everyone, please welcome Kayla to the show. Thank you. So first of all, you have a great mother.
Thank you.
You know that?
Yes, I know.
Okay, she rides for you.
Yes, she does.
And she's saying some valid points there 'cause I saw calls about y'all fighting at 2:00 AM. So tell me about what's going on. What's making you call your mom when y'all are fighting at 2:00 AM? And what are you fighting about?
Exactly. So we're fighting about everything under the sun. So one of our most recent arguments started because he didn't like that I told him that he was annoying. Mind you, I didn't mean it in like an offensive way. I was just saying it in like a, hey, you know, like, you know, like you're annoying. Like, you know, like it wasn't like a you're annoying type of way. I was talking about my birthday weekend. It was the day before my birthday. And he comes home from work and he's being touchy-feely and I just wasn't trying to do that. So one thing led to another. Next thing I know, he's throwing my food, got the cheesesteak ketchup everywhere. Yeah, mm-hmm. Ketchup everywhere. I'm cleaning up ketchup off the walls and he comes into the living room and grabs his book bag talking about some, "I'm not doing this shit no more. I'm leaving." That's a direct quote. He's leaving, so I'm like, "Okay, fine. You wanna leave? Leave." So next thing I know, his brother's knock, knock, knock on the door talking about some he gonna come in and help him move his stuff. I told him, I said, "Nobody's coming in my house at 2:30 in the morning, Karamo." I said, "That's not happening." So that's when he gets mad. He's like, you know what, fine. And he goes, he takes the fork and he pops my exercise ball. I sent that video to your producers.
Here you go.
Here's the door. You all right? Bye. Bye.
We gonna talk to them separately.
You can talk to them separately. That's fine. I told y'all y'all should have had him stay upstairs 'cause we needed separation tonight. So now it's escalating. So he can go. That's mine, and my nurse gave that to me, and that's for my exercise. And he just went and damaged that and broke it. Now he's throwing stuff at me.
Is it true he broke the TV too?
Oh yeah, he did that too, and I just got During that incident, he tried to take the TV that we do have and take that with him to his brother's house. And I said, "No, you're not about to do that." Guess who had to clean all that up, Karamo? Mm-hmm. Me.
Yeah.
I'm there by myself, 6 months pregnant, cleaning all this stuff up.
So this is recent?
This was like 2 weeks ago.
Where did he stay that night?
He's been staying in between his brother and his mom's house ever since this incident. He hasn't come back home permanently since. I feel like I'm the side piece. I don't feel like the fiancée.
So why doesn't he think the baby is his?
Okay, so last year at the beginning of our relationship, I admit I did do something with my ex before me and Laney were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. And I told Laney about it the day after it happened. Since then, he has proposed marriage to me. We have moved in together this March and I've gotten pregnant. This happened last year. Do the math, Karamo. The math is not mathin'. How am I 6 months pregnant and I was with the other guy a year ago? That guy's obviously not the father. That just doesn't make any sense.
And y'all are engaged right now?
We're engaged. We got engaged last November.
Okay, got it. This is a lot.
It's a lot. It's stressful and I'm pregnant and I don't need to be dealing with this. So today I'm here because I need to clear my name. I want my phone unlocked so that I can say, look, I'm not talking to anybody else but you. You need to stop going and making accusations every time we get into an argument and all of that. But he doesn't have that same energy when we're not in an argument.
Got it. Okay, let's meet Laney and hear his side of the story. So everyone, welcome Laney to the show. Hi Laney, how you doing?
I'm doing good, sir.
Good, good. Nice to meet you. So Lainey, you broke your own TV?
No, he broke my TV.
And we saw that you popped her ball. Why? Yes.
I'm not gonna lie, this has been the most stressful I ever been through in this life.
Me too. Try doing it 6 months pregnant.
So I was, so I have a little camera right over there nobody knows and I can see when you were backstage and you were getting fired up. When you're backstage?
Yes, 'cause like, I'm trying my best not to curse, but sorry, but certain shit just say it.
Excuse me, but you don't do that. You don't try your best to stop cursing when we're arguing. You wanna do this when we're arguing and we're at home, you wanna do this. So have that same energy and do this in front of all of them.
This be one of the reasons I can't.
Have the same energy.
I be trying to talk, she would straight cut me off. This be one of the reasons. I try to talk and she would straight cut me off. I could not get a word out.
Okay, you don't do that to me and you don't do that to me. I didn't get laryngitis because of you cutting me off. I didn't get laryngitis 'cause I was trying to speak and you cut me off.
She's trying to make it seem like she the whole victim and it's not true.
I didn't come here and say I was the whole victim. I came and I took accountability for what I did. But you not gonna sit here and act like everything is kumbaya when that's not how it is when we by ourselves.
Why don't you think you two should live together?
Deep down, I really do want to live with her, but with so much stress and pain and with everything in it, Is it safe for us, then is it also safe for the baby girl? 'Cause I'm keeping deep down, yes, the baby I believe is mine. But I didn't say shit like that 'cause I know it gonna piss her off. And plus, out of all the relationships I've been in, this the most I ever opened up to or been experienced. I never been on a date before, not even a McDonald's date. So she was the first girl I ever been on a date, first girl I ever lived with. Engaged to you? Everything, and I opened up to her. I proposed to her the day after my birthday.
Okay, and when do you wanna get married? When do you wanna get married?
To be honest, I don't know. He don't know.
You don't know?
No, we don't know.
Okay.
No.
I understand she wanna get married before she give birth, but I wanna make sure we don't have kids.
You proposed to me before I gave birth. You proposed to me before you—
I didn't know what I was walking into.
Karamo, he told me that he wanted kids before.
I even told her. If I knew how she was in the beginning of this relationship, I would bend it.
That's not true.
You saw how I was in the beginning of the relationship. That's not true. You wasn't like this. She was not like this.
I've always been 100% myself. I'm like this 24/7.
I know y'all both are serious.
That's not true.
It's time to unlock the phone. It's time to unlock the phone.
Yeah, 'cause it's not true.
All right, Kayla, we unlocked your phone. All right, Lainey, you wanna know if Kayla is communicating with her ex or any other men. She says she is not. My locked-up phone investigator searched her texts and found that she's telling the truth.
Wow, really?
Lenny, you wanna know if Kayla has any DMs with her ex or any other men. She says she does not. My locked-up phone investigator searched her DMs and found that Kayla is telling the truth. Really? Lenny, you wanna know if Kayla has made any calls to her ex. She says she is not. My locked phone investigator searched her calls and found that Kayla is telling the truth.
Really? Wow, Karamo.
Wow. Wow.
All right then, let's get to your phone, Laney.
Yeah, let's get to this.
Okay.
Yeah, I'm ready. Let's get to this.
Laney, we could not unlock your phone 'cause you refused.
Wow.
And I got a great explanation for that.
Oh yeah, I wanna hear it. Let's hear it.
For one, she know, she over, for beginning racing, for the start, she went straight through my phone. All right.
Before or after you deleted the message?
You hiding some shit.
After you deleted the message?
You hiding some shit.
You hiding some shit.
No, she didn't tell you. You hiding something. So here's the thing.
You could have unlocked your phone. You could have unlocked your phone. You hiding something.
'Cause mine, I'm not hiding nothing.
I don't mind. I don't want you to lie.
The guilty party is the one that wants to be there.
This is Sharisha. How are you doing, Sharisha?
Hi, Karamo.
Nice to meet you. So you feel like he's hiding something?
He must be.
Okay.
Because he only, like he said, to hurt her feelings, so to speak, he says that he only say, oh, she's not carrying his baby when they're arguing. So what are you hiding? Because where would you bring that up from? It just come out of nowhere? Y'all argue on a frequency of like a pay cycle. Sometimes I make that joke with them. Every week to 2 weeks, he's out going to either stay with his brother or his mom.
Yeah.
So it's like every 7 to 14 days, every time somebody get paid, you out the door.
Don't look at her like that.
She knows this. Where are you really going? Are you going to your mom's?
I see at work.
Why? You should have unlocked your phone.
She got my location.
You should have unlocked your phone. And we know this, honey.
And she got my location off. You do turn your location off.
And we being at your— we in Sierra, you do the same thing.
No, I don't. No, I don't. I only— yeah, because what's the point of having—
So can I tell you one thing that did happen? Is that my unlock the phone investigator showed me one text that was in your phone. No, it's important for me to show this really quickly. This is a text that you wrote and it says, okay, but Kayla, we need to take our major step back 100. Our both mental is not there. We got a lot of stress at the moment right now. The baby is our main priority. I love you, but us, This apartment, this relationship is not there. We need to take a break. I'm not gonna talk to another girl and I hope you don't talk to another guy. But if you move on, no hard feelings. I apologize for my actions. We're gonna get space from each other. I'm gonna take anger management thingy.
Listen.
Anger management thingy. Keyword, anger management thingy.
No, no, lemme tell y'all something. I thought you was trying to get him to take anger management from her. Okay, the reason I'm glad about this is because that is probably the healthiest thing that is in this relationship.
Right.
Is that text message. Y'all don't belong together. You don't belong together. You do not belong together. You do not belong together.
No disrespect to you, but I disagree.
I asked it.
No disrespect to you.
Okay, so young man, I'm gonna tell you this right now. I know you tell me you disagree. Young man, I've been in healthy relationships. And in a healthy relationship, the first year is the honeymoon. You are learning about each other. You are having fun. Everything is full of exciting new moments where you're experiencing life together. You all are on my stage in year 1. You all are arguing, like her mother said, every pay cycle, every 2 weeks someone's leaving. Relationships that are healthy, you don't gotta leave to go stay with your mother. You're able to communicate and figure out how to work things out. You two do not have the maturity yet to be in this relationship. And what has happened is that you found someone that was your first love. And I get it, I was there. That love feels intense, it feels major, it feels like this has to be it, but this ain't it. What this is, is two individuals that are young, that fell in love, made adult decisions, and are now gonna have to co-parent. But if you decide to be in a relationship together, together, not only will you two suffer, but this child will suffer. If you really are honest with yourself, do you really think that being leaving a house, popping stuff, doing all these things is a healthy relationship?
No, sir.
So then if you know it's not a healthy relationship, I just read your words. I'm giving you props for those words.
But that's the thing, they're just words. And he keeps saying it every single time.
'Cause how old are you? You're 21, 22?
I'm 21, he's 23. Like he's not gonna go and get therapy. I keep trying to get him to go and get therapy.
So what I need right now is for y'all, even before you think about therapy, is I need you to think about how you break up for your breakthrough, okay? Because a breakthrough is gonna be on the other side of this breakup. I promise you, the maturity, the life experiences you deserve is on the other side. The happiness you deserve is on the other side. The happiness you deserve is on the other side. The first thing is you have to not live together anymore. Mom, would you help them figure out how to co-parent?
Yes, sir.
I know you would.
Yes, sir.
I know you would. I know you would.
Yes, sir. Like I said, I'm already starting to reconfigure my home of where I'm gonna put the crib and everything.
Good. Look at that. So we already have the support.
Like I said, no disrespect to your honor, this is your show. That's something me and her talk about. So unless me and her agree to it, ain't letting anybody else.
She disagreed to it. She just said she don't want to be with you. You wanna tell her?
I think that it'd probably be best If we just go our separate ways.
Outside this, when we at home and then—
I just said that.
I just said that.
She don't really want this. At the end of the day, she even told me she wanna spend the rest of her life with me and I wanna spend the rest of life with her so she could say this.
Not like this.
Right here.
Not like this. Yeah, I'm about to cut you off. I'm about to cut you off again.
Not like this. That has to be part of the reason.
Not like this.
We gotta do what Karamo just suggested. We didn't come here for no reason.
I'm gonna tell you this. I know this is your show, but like I said, I'm gonna stand on what I just said.
Between me and her, we gonna talk.
That's the problem, the outsiders.
What I know is that a hard head makes a soft ass. Sure do. So what we gonna do right now is I'm gonna tell you this. I wish you the best of luck because in 6 months, life's gonna really hit your ass. When a baby is there, crying and looking to you for everything. So please take that invitation and move to your mother's house. And motherhood is here, it's gonna come. That baby is most important, okay?
Thank you, Karamo.
Please, you're welcome. All right, I wish you the best of luck. Mom, you keep being the best mother ever, all right?
Thank you, Karamo. Thank you.
And everyone at home, stay with us. We'll be right back with more.
Mm-hmm.
