'Cause you walked out here smooth and we said, all right, okay.
That's what I said backstage. I said, Karamo got the flow.
Appreciate it.
That's you too.
I like it. So tell me, why do you think your girlfriend is cheating on you?
I know she is. I've seen proof.
Oh, you've seen proof?
Yes. All in the phone. Pictures of male private parts.
Oh.
Yeah. Messages, conversations. I'm gonna try to hide it better so I can do what I wanna do.
You saw that in the message? Yes.
Yes.
Wow, okay then. So let me take us back a little bit. So how did you two meet?
I moved next door to her.
Okay then. And then how long have you been together exactly?
9 years.
9 years. So, 'cause you're 30, so that's most of your 20s. That's your entire 20s that you two were together. My whole 20s. And how was your relationship in the past?
In the past it was smooth. I just think along the lines it kind of got like she didn't tell me exactly what she wanted from this relationship.
And how many children do you have?
4.
4 children, okay. 4 children. Why y'all said it like that? They've been together 9 years.
Who did?
Y'all said it like that was crazy. 9 years together, like, okay. It's not like they say they've been together a year and then they know, like, okay.
That's crazy.
Have you ever considered getting married?
Yes, we were engaged actually. I took the ring back after I found the proof of her cheating. You gave another man shit, I know that. So you either grabbed it with the hand you got your ring on or the arm that my deceased daughter is tattooed on. So.
Got it. So you two lost a daughter?
Yes, she's still with me.
And so you're referencing a tattoo that she has of your deceased daughter?
Yeah, yeah.
Got it. Can I ask you a question?
Yes.
Have you ever cheated on her?
Yes.
You have cheated on her?
Yes.
Okay, and when did you cheat?
This past May.
This past—
My birthday.
Your birthday?
Yeah.
And did you tell her?
She knew.
What did she say when she found out?
She didn't think that I would do that. I don't wanna hurt you the way you hurt me, but then the opportunity presented itself and—
And you decided to retaliate.
Yeah, exactly.
Okay, so how's your relationship now?
It's pretty rocky. For the most part, I try to just keep quiet to keep the peace, even though like she could be dead wrong about something. It seems like it's better sometimes to just shut the fuck up about it than to bring it to her, 'cause then it's gonna be blown outta proportion.
Yeah, so you feel like your needs are being ignored?
They definitely are.
Okay then.
For sure.
Yeah, do you wanna save this relationship?
Yeah, I do. You do?
Why?
She's all I've known.
Got it. Thank you for sharing that. Well, listen, Malaysia shared her thoughts before the show, so I wanna go ahead and take a look at this. Everyone, let's see what Malaysia had to say.
I found Marcus and he saved me and we've been together ever since. I'm not always happy in the relationship. Most of the time I'm really indecisive because he's all I've ever known. I'm so grateful for him, but I know that it's— there's a lot of toxicity. We have 3 kids together. Well, technically 4. We lost our daughter, Alayah. She was a stillborn. It's really hard. I have been unfaithful to him in the past. I stepped out on him sexually with 2 different people. I never recovered from my childhood trauma. I was molested as a child by a family member. It was just kind of covered up. I never got over it. Family swept it under the rug. It happened again when I was a teenager. A family member in the house was raping me. I ran away multiple times. When I was raped, I feel like I didn't have the control over myself to do what I wanted to do with my own body, so then I just started to do it with any and everybody that I wanted to do it with. And now he doesn't trust me at all.
Everyone help me welcome Malaysia to the show. Malaysia, come on out. Hi, Malaysia.
It was retaliation cheating.
Yeah, he's already admitted that.
Yes, it was. It definitely was.
Okay then. From your point of view, was that the only time he cheated on you?
Yes, other than, When we first got together, we wasn't technically in a relationship.
Okay then. How many times have you cheated on Marcus?
Sexually, twice. But considered like texting and all of that other things, I really honestly couldn't tell you the number.
Okay, got it.
It's been going on the whole relationship, literally.
Yes.
The whole relationship, okay.
Literally.
Have you been honest about all the men you've cheated with?
No, actually I was never honest with it. It was more so when he would catch me.
Got it. I was open from the beginning. All you had to do was let me know.
I could have been honest, but that's something I've never done. I lie over simple things, which he knows. It's really hard for me to be honest. It's really hard for me to speak my truth. And because no one never cared to hear how Malaysia felt, never cared to check on Malaysia to see anything. So moving into a relationship with him, I was only 17.
I knew. I was there for you the whole time.
Yes, he was. Marcus is like really good for me. It's something that I want and that's the main reason that we're here because at the end of the day, I do want help.
Have you spoken with any of the men recently?
I guess considered a text message. I've messaged him and then I wanna—
How long ago was that?
I wanna say in December.
December.
A text isn't the same as speaking to the man.
Okay. Have you been honest with him about your feelings?
No, because I don't know what I want. I want Marcus, but then I'm young. I don't know what I want. This is all I know. So how can I know this is what I want when there's other things out there? If we be honest about it, you literally compared me to a buffet item. I did. I did.
So do you really want me or you just wanna have your cake and eat it too?
No, I really do want him and I'm here to get the help. that you can give me so I can move forward.
Okay then. How do you feel about him revenge cheating?
Honestly, I don't like it for the simple fact that the woman that he cheated with was in my face the day before. She was— he was telling her that I was cheating on him and he was making it seem like, you know, all of this. And then he goes out with her and then cheats. So when I'm calling him all these times in the middle of the night, he's saying, oh, I'm with my cousin, I'm with my cousin. I didn't find out till after the fact.
Got it.
Until we got back home.
So then where do you see this relationship going?
Honestly, we're here because we wanna be with each other. I wanna put in the work. I wanna, you know, be the best version of myself. I wanna overcome all my healed trauma and I wanna be with Marcus. I do.
Okay. And so you both came here to unlock the phone to find out if, to get transparency of what the other person's doing?
Right. Mm-hmm.
Okay then. I have to be very honest with you. And this is where I know that while you were talking to that, you saw me talking to my producer right there.
Yes.
And because I was listening to you, but also letting them know I don't wanna unlock your phones. Because unlocking your phones, you can clap for that. Unlocking your phones would be for TV. And the issues you have and the trauma that you both experienced are deeper and more important than a transparency stunt for entertainment. And that is important to establish because we don't need to know what's in this because you both have already talked to each other. You've already both established that you've cheated. You know what she's done. You're both talking about it very clearly and confidently. And I think that's one of the most important things that we have established. This right here, I created this for when people don't have these answers, when they are struggling to know, is there something more? Have you cheated on me? Have you said something bad? You both know already, so this doesn't matter, right? Can we both establish that?
Okay.
Okay. Now we're gonna get to the real of this, okay? Because there's something that you both said. You said it within the first minute of being out here and I wrote it down. And ironically, not knowing what you were gonna say on your tape piece, you then said the same thing. You said, she is all I've ever known. He's all I've ever known. Let me tell you the truth of the matter is you don't know her. And you don't know him. You do not know each other. What happened is that you were both vulnerable and you used codependency to heal the abandonment that you were both feeling. And then you kept telling yourself, well, I know him, she knows me, I know him, I'm all you ever had, you're all I've ever had. But y'all have never had each other.
Right, and that's the whole indecisiveness that I have because I know that if I do be alone, then I can just focus on me, I can focus on Learning to love myself, learning to deal and cope with my—
So then why are you afraid to just tell him that versus staying in this and saying, I wanna fight for this?
'Cause she wants to have her cake and eat it too. She wants the person in her life.
I don't believe that's the truth. I don't believe that that's truth. What I believe is that I do believe when you said something that was true, you said, it's hard for me to be honest, because most children who have been abused and abandoned, it is hard for them to be honest. You don't have to lie to him.
I've never given you a reason to. You know where I come from, like you can just tell me.
You two are damaging each other over and over again. What is happening here as well is some of the issues, not all of them, that you experienced as children, your children are now experiencing.
And I say that.
And I said that too.
Yeah, I don't want you two to be together.
And that's the reason I want to not be together because I don't want them to go through and grow up through that. Hold on.
That is the first time that you have said that on this stage. Now, let's start there. Be honest with him.
Yeah, because at the end of the day, that, you know, that one of our biggest things is breaking generational curses. And I feel like, you know, it's not breaking it, it's a repeating cycle. So I do be indecisive when it comes to wanting to be alone because I know that at the end of the day—
When you say you wanna be alone, I wanna start you off 'cause I want this sentence to start off. What you just said finally, I don't think we should be together and I think I should be alone.
Yes, I think I should be alone so I can learn to love myself and put in the effort and the care and to recover and cope from everything that I have been through, so.
So what I would like for you to do right now is can you say thank you for being honest?
Thank you for being honest. And I have.
You're welcome.
Even this before the show, thank you for being transparent with me. Thank you for telling me the truth. Thank you for being real with me.
Now what I need you to do is be real because I can tell that you're doing some work on yourself. This relationship is unhealthy. You know it, we all know it.
Right.
She might've brought a man here, there, been this or that. You know it, you are hurt. So I'm gonna give you more language because I hope— I was hoping you could see the path, but I'm gonna give it to you. So it'd be something of this nature. I don't want our kids to see this and model this behavior and I don't wanna hurt anymore. I wanna be happy. Continue.
I wanna be happy. I wanna move on from this and be able to know like, okay, I have somebody. Not feel alone every day and—
I know, and I don't wanna continue to hurt him.
Thank you for opening up. Here you go. 'Cause I know that was a lot. See, this is the part where now you both say, I wanna be happy and I can't be happy in this. So you have both finally been honest on this stage that this is not the best situation for you. The last thing I want you to do is turn to her and say, I don't know you.
I don't know you.
Turn to him and say, I don't know you.
I don't know you.
But I wish that you could be happy.
But I wish you can be happy.
I wish you could be too. And that's not together.
And that's not together.
All I can give y'all on this stage is the first step. And hopefully that first step allows y'all to get to the place where y'all can both be healthy. I'm so sorry that the things worked out the way they did in your life, but you have an opportunity to be better as you go into your 30s, 40s, and 50s, okay?
Yes.
Please take my advice for yourselves, for your kids, for your future. Or just your own pure happiness, okay? Thank y'all for being here, all right? Everyone at home, make sure to come back next time, friends, so we can keep talking and growing. I love you all.
Love you.
